Bayley going to AEW would presumably get her the same benefits as Mercedes did, which includes a voice in the writer's room and that one writer that Mercedes brought in with her.It also risks creating a very clear beachhead of "these are the women talent that Mercedes and Bayley like and get pushed" which I can imagine a lot of the women talent will hate, or feel they need to fall in line with.I can only believe this would be poison to the AEW locker room. Dave saying she would get a "higher profile" would be true, because she'd be protected politically and likely elevated to a "face of the female division" position along with Mercedes, while others would be pushed down.
