Most Japanese wrestlers only know Triple H as an executive for contract negotiations, his fame as a wrestler is about equal to Fandango. The general lack of notoriety in one of the big 3 stronghold counties for Wrestling is why WWE can never be called a global product.

Dumb take by Meltzer as usual. Being a global product isn't a function of being the most popular company everywhere but rather one of popular accessibility.
That said, WWE isn't particularly big in Japan. It had a show there last year and Stardom outperformed it in the same venue.
