The crowd was ice cold for both AAA matches cause they were ice cold matches, both of them featuring a guy only AAA fans have actually seen before, in a tournament that we're pretty certain is gonna have a Penta/Phenix final with Penta winning for a match that will happen what, a month from now at least?
Who gives a shit, come on, I had to double check if Phenix was against Wagner or Fiscal, great idea to have two faces who never cut promos and both wear green masks win back to back
The matches were decent enough though and the crowd popped for both winners
By comparison the crowd was red hot all throughout the Vaq/Liv/Becky opening, all throughout JD/Jevon, then died down a bit with the lucha matches and Sol/Lyra, then 100% woke up for Gable/Rey and went wild for the ending segment

WWE crowds just don't pop for moves unless it's absolutely breathtaking, Lee and Phenix never really cut promos and have generic face personalities on screen, nobody knows their opponents, so of course the WWE crowd isn't gonna yell for every spot.
But at the same time, for completely ice cold matches featuring "that guy" vs "literally who?" the crowd didn't turn on it, they weren't disrespectiful or chanting boring, just don't know who the fuck to cheer for so let's just watch the masked dudes do moves and clap when there's a good one

they were hot for that match though, as far as babyface vs babyface go, it was perfect, crowd cheered for both all throughout, they would have been ok with either winning even if making Gable lose would obviously have been a bad move
But they weren't confused imo, understood what was going on, two guys who respect each other and Gable obviously getting the rub from the legend.
