The old ones had overselling anytime you hit a finisher on a wrestler. Everyone in these new games sells like Vince McMahon taking a stunner in his old age.

i hated that stunner because the characters would always fly towards the ropes and rope break because in the older games you didnt have the ability to drag your opponents
>>

I think they had Hardy Boyz doing Motion Capture in the older games. Now they just get some random PC or Indy guys.
>>
You know what? You’re right. I loved the selling. Sometimes it looked like they died from taking a finisher

Skill issue
If you went for the pin from the right position the animation would push them away from the ropes
>>
>>21019114
Yeah even in the new games when you stunner The Rock he barely goes flying but in the old games there'd be physics with the ropes with how retarded his selling would be
>>
>>21019114
Yeah they oversell but they always stood up 2 seconds after they got hit by a finisher.
>>
I’m begging you to learn the difference between selling and bumping.
>>
>>21019114
Nah. It's because they abandon the simple, fun controls and gameplay mechanics in favor of "realism". Like any sports games
>>
sound of the ring too
the old sound made it sound like they were being slammed onto the mat and the new games have just a light thump whenever you do a move

Wrestling games need to focus more on gameplay than graphics. No Mercy still being as popular as it is tells you gameplay is way more important in wrestling games than muh graphics
>>
>>21019114
it's a shame the AEW game was absolute dogshit because we need a wrestling game that isn't simulatorslop
>>

The thing I loved about the games up to 2K14 (not sure if they still kept this up afterward) was that they kept the old animations from the earlier games, along with making the more realistic ones. It was really cool if you wanted to use the old F-5 instead of the new one.

Shoot one of their biggest fumbles. They should be on their 3rd game by now, too. A fun game = people randomly checking the roster out on TV.

modern wrestling mimicks ps2 video games. Modern wrestling games mimick wrestling from the ps2 days

This was the best and only WWE game I ever owned

No the fuck they didn't. Some finisher animations had ridiculous bumps but the wrestler would be back on their feet in like 10 seconds max

Want to say the only games the Hardyz are credited on for motion capture is WWF Attitude

thats probably what anon meant, autismo

How much the games have degraded and slid in quality is just astounding; you can now do more than ever but they've never been more boring to play. The speed is one thing; these older games had a more arcadey vibe and played how wrestling matches FEEL as opposed to simulating how they are. Everyone moves like they're under water and some of the moves don't even have impact or are animated correctly, never mind collision detection.
