will ospreay, konosuke takeshita, kenny omega, kyle fletcher, every other aew shitter:
>runs the ropes, does a handstand, flips over each other, superhero poses briefly before running past each other again, trading headscissors takedowns, ducking incredibly slow kicks that wouldn't have hit anyway, does a standing moonsault then lands it, trade roll ups, miss more kicks then flip into another superhero pose before hitting each other with the banger stare not caring that everything they just did looked incredibly fake and gay
The crowd: *interspersed polite clapping*
Ryohei Oiwa:
>Just fucking GRIPS
The crowd: *goes fucking nuclear*

This match was excellent and textbook example of why less is often more in pro wrestling. Look forward to whatever Oiwa does next

We love you ZA GRIPPU

For me, what makes a good match is the ability of the guys who are in it to make me suspend disbelief and ask myself, "could this be an actual fight." I really like it when workers make me believe one of them might be trying to go into business for himself and the other is only hanging on because of skill.
This match was as close to that mark as I've seen in a while.

This match had a bigger influence on the history of wrestling on MULTIPLE continents. Nobody is gonna care about the Oiwa match two weeks from now.

Kek you right this dog shit killed wrestling for the next decade
Thankfully Oiwa has saved it

>Pits a New Japan match against a New Japan match like it's a point in favor of AEW because the guys who did it now work for his favorite fed
>They can't even do it anymore

watching this match live felt like Age in The Cage.

Am I supposed to pretend now that Kenny Omega never once made the Japanese Fujo crowd lose their fucking minds?
>>
>>21027962
Yes.
Yes you are.
>>
>>21027968
Ok, just checking.

"I clapped when I saw it", the sequence

I'm glad someone sees this and is like, "This is it. This is the thing I enjoy most. I just want to watch this for the rest of my days. This is just the greatest thing ever." Really. True happiness is rare.
But shit, it ain't wrestling and it ain't anything close to what traditional wrestling fans would recognize as wrestling. And it's not what people who want to see wrestling usually pay to see.
