So, what's the consensus on Jeff Jarret?
>>
>>21030841
Good hand, shit draw, backstage savvy.
Essentially a less successful Paul.
>>
>>21030841
we love the last outlaw here. bullet club legend
>>
>>21030841
Incredibly underrated. Yeah, he is a nepobaby but so what? People have a hate boner for him like he's some kind of Adam Cole anti-draw but at this point, they don't even know why they hate him.
>>
>>21030841
Temu Triple H
>>
I like him as a heel who wants to be liked but I can't get hyped for him in any way besides that.
>>
>>21030841
Good worker. Midcard guy.
>>
>>21030841
Expose Kurt Angle as a shrimpdick who could keep his wife satisfied
>>
The last true carny. I respect him as a worker.
>>
Solid midcarder no doubt, legendary midcarder in fact.
>>
>>21030841
was never the guy but always a solid professional.

good mid to upper mid carder that got above his station.

Miz of the 90s

King carny the GOAT.

Legitimately ain't he great?
In his prime in-ring a shade below Bret/Shawn, around peak Austin, he had a fantastic match with Shawn at IYH.
Often had bad gimmicks in WWE
Seen as overpushed in WCW but he was actually worth a shot as a fresh guy on top and I enjoyed it
His TNA stuff as champ was fine until mid-2004 with his last reign that dragged on for ages, before that he put over Raven, a super young AJ Styles, and Ron Killings, he was not the belt-hog people think of outside that last reign.
Double J MMA was comedy dimes and his Kurt feud rocked
His mini return with WWE should have lasted longer as Elias's manager. He was also a weirdly great if random special guest ref.
Last Outlaw stuff in AEW is one of the few good things of their last couple years, he should have won the Owen in 2024 he was the most over guy for it legit.

Double J and Triple H are genuinely incomparable. Double J's a nepobaby who had the label over his head his whole career and so was never given the credit for his talent. Triple H became a nepobaby and used that political maneuvering to rewrite a mediocre performer as an all-time talent.

>carnied Vinch McMahon multiple times and big leagued him for a massive payday
>carnied Ted Turner
>carnied Vince Russo multiple times
>carnied Dixie Carter and multiple other CEO's into spending her parents fortune on supporting his vanity fed
>carnied Hulk Hogan
>carnied Eric Bischoff
>carnied Tony Khan
>carnied his own carny father
>carnied Australia, India and Europe with a wrestling federation that was actually a front for a cash4gold pyramid scheme
>carnied Vice documentary producers to make a three part retrospective about all the people he carnied, and made himself come off as the good guy in it
>did all of this despite never being over, never being a draw, and never being a top guy in any promotion he wasn't the booking or best friends with the booker of
Ain't he great?
>>
i enjoyed his feud with beetlejuice
>>
Was the top guy in Feds that were at their absolute lowest
>>
>>21030841
Dude out of time. Would've been great in the 70s or early 80s. Didn't realize professional wrestling was dying in the 1990s and jumped ship to the old dinosaur company instead of cozying up to Vince and ensuring minimum 10 more years of good pay.
>>
>>21032331
Perfect. I don't even know what the fuck was his finisher

When I was in conversation once and my friend and I were missing a detail about Double J's career I decided to look it up on my phone.
Into the search bar I typed Jarrett's name while loudly pronouncing the entry of each letter just as he does during his signature "catchphrase."
I'm a lifelong wrestling fan (in my 40s) and no other wrestler has achieved that before Jarrett.
We had a good laugh.

The last actual carny and absolutely Based because of that. Every time I see him dimes just start disappearing from my pockets by his sheer carny aura.
>>
>>21032331
He really is the GOAT (and also shit)
>>
He checked all the boxes but just wasn't a draw. He never got that over in either WWE, WCW, AEW or TNA and that's impressive. His TNA run was some of the most self-serving, tone deaf booking ever and helped ensure the company never grew. He also hurt a bunch of guys careers with it.
>>
>>21032331
When it's all laid out like this, it's sort of interesting he stayed so focused on wrestling. He clearly had the charisma/charm/sales skills to scam anyone anywhere. He should have been a yacht or bunker salesman for billionaires. Man's got a passion for sure
>>
>>21030974
And Triple Nose is plagiarized Shane Douglas
>>
>>21030841
There's no fucking way this guy was ever over in WCW. What even is his gimmick, Temu Rock?
>>
>>21035185
>forgot about the turbocarnie JARRETT GOLD
I'm sure the man has dipped his tows in all kinds of ventures and carnied the shit out of them.
>>
>>21030841
He would have made for a great heel manager who only wrestled sometimes, like a Bobby Heenan type but still capable of putting on full matches when the angle called for it. He's always had go away heat but they could have harnessed it that way. Just give him a faction of miscreants to mouthpiece for.

Scientifically speaking, the goal of wrestling is to get over, because getting over is what makes money for you via you being a draw. Jeff Jarret may never have got over with the fans, but since he still managed to draw millions of dollars out of the people in this list, even though they were promoters and bookers, does that mean in the end, that Jeff Jarret was one of the most over people in wrestling?
