On a recent edition of "Wrestling Observer Radio," Dave Meltzer talked about the longevity of certain wrestlers, what styles last longer than others, and how certain companies book people depending on injuries. Meltzer explained that in the case of Khan, he runs the risk of wiping the booking sheet clean after every pay-per-view as he waits for medical reports.

>"They do a pay-per-view, you know, and then, you know, Tony doesn't really start booking Wednesday [Dynamite], you know, until he gets the medical reports. 'Okay, who is okay to work Wednesday?' Whereas in the old days, you know, it's like you did a pay-per-view on Sunday, you know, and Monday you were wrestling and, you know, there was no qualms about it. It wasn't like, you know, 'Oh, we have to wait and see,' it's kind of like you're expected, you know you're expected to not get hurt, you know. Whereas in AEW, you know, I think, you know, one of the things is is like 'Well, it's like a football game,' you know what I mean? It's like 'We're going to have injuries after every show and then we have to adjust, you know.'"

This mentality has come under some scrutiny in the past as AEW has had the reputation of not being able to follow up on the momentum generated by pay-per-views due to a sub-par fallout episode of "AEW Dynamite."

Not reading all that but I'm sure it's biased bullshit

The biggest problem they had last year was they had this big burn off stadium show that was the culmination of a year's story and they booked a residency in a 1000 cap arena. Mental

Yeah man who wouldn't want to read Meltzer say 'you know' 13 fucking times in one quote. But it's totally us with the mush for brains right?

I see your counting skills are on par as they as for the gamethreads each week. Surprised to see you acknowledge the number two though

Its not supposed to be like this Dave. You don't have to break 10 tables and slice your arteries for every match.
>>

>two sentences
No wonder you believe all of those bullshit Max numbers Dave throws out. AEW fans can't even count to 3.

>here’s why Tony is a genius for booking PPVs where every single wrestler involved gets injured
>>
Is booking in this haphazard way really commendable? AEW is ice cold and has fumbled every single slightly over wrestler and is still running off the fumes of 2010s new japan
>>
>>21035484
Can Melzter go one sentence without saying "you know" or "like"?
>>
If you have injuries after every show, then you're not doing something right.
>>
>HOW DARE VINCE CHANGED THE SCRIPT THIS IS SO UNFAIR TO THE WRITERS REEEE
>Wow it's so awesome how tony waits until the last minute to write the show, what a genius
No bias here lol
