Was this for the better or did AEW actually die on this day? Will there be Punk references on tonights Dynamite?
It surprises me that AEW never profited off from Punk’s exit with an Ultimate Warrior style documentary/DVD on him like WWE did with Warrior. They could’ve made crazy smark bucks with a controversial documentary dvd.
>>21108379What do you expect from a fucking retard like Tony? He had the biggest fucking story in wrestling when it came out The Bucks and Punk fought eachother and instead of doing an angle that would have probably cracked 2 milly in the ratings he just sent them all home to make them think about what they have done
>le top drawfriendly reminder he made mediocre numbers when he was the lead wrestler on Collision
>>21108416Collision got the best ratings it will ever have with him in charge of it
>>21108420You mean with MJF and Adam Cole headlining
>>21108370>top draw>ratings plummet while he's there>can't even keep viewers on his own dedicated AEW show
>>21108370Glass Phil is a cancer and we're all glad to be rid of him. Enjoy pretending to like Danhausen, E-tards.
>>21108379Doesn't work without a legacy of absolute GOATs in your library. WWE can do hitpieces about the odd popular asshole, because they have positive docs about beloved, legendary wrestlers. This gives them an edge of that one or two particular wrestlers being the problem instead of them. They can point to Andre, Piper, Savage, Stone Cold and say "See. We had no problem with these GOATs". Then point to Warrior and say he was a nut. Can't do that without a positive, long history of draws or it comes off as petty and a transparent hitpiece.
CM Punk is a poison and cancer to wrestling and brings infection wherever he goes.In time every promotion finds that they need to heal of him. The TKO era will take decades to recover from.
>>21108474(it still came off as a petty and transparent hit piece)
>>21108370>did AEW actually die on this dayThey have a show tonight, so, probably not.
>>21108484Only to neutrals. They got away with it. And now for a long time, people were worked by the doc.
>>21108497>Only to neutrals.to anyone who's not a retarded shit-eating cultist
>>21108522>to anyone who's not a retarded shit-eating cultistThat excludes most drones, unfortunately.
>>21108370>"3 years ago I survived my cancer surgery and now I'm cancer free.">"anon still wants to convince me that this was bad somehow."The only mistake Tony did when it comes to CM Punk was hiring him in the first place.
aew faggots still coping about losing phil is maybe the funniest shit i've ever seen regarding wrestling cope.
>>21108477>>21108467Still seething that he left. Fucking hilarious
>>21108562>>21108572>"If you have a problem with Jack Perry, you are the problem."A direct quote from faggot Phil. He said it on national television.
>>21108370>top drawkek
>>21108580phil is a faggot but is an objective draw and AEW has done nothing but circle the drain since he left. cope all you want, i don't give a shit.
>>21108602>phil is a faggot but is an objective draw>lowest attendance in WWE since he got the belt>lowest Summerslam attendance in years>can't boost ratings on his WWE showSo, if we remove the draw from your quote, we're left with "Phil is a faggot".
>>21108622when was the last time aew broke 800k ill wait
>>21108580>A direct quote from faggot Phil. He said it on national television. So you got worked by a TV show for kids
>>21108370Who cares. AEW is dead.
>>21108379He is just a nice guy, if it wasn't for his dad's billions he would be bankrupt 3 times already
>>21108637>Phil is a draw!>evidence suggests otherwise>H-how about that AEW, huh?kek>I'll wait.Yeah, so will TKO, for Phil to actually draw.
>>21108602> AEW has done nothing but circle the drain since he leftAEW did a stadium show with over 40,000 people at it four days ago. Also, they signed the biggest TV deal they've ever had a year and a half after he left.
>>21108370>CM punk goes to Wwe>they doing worse than everCool a 20-30% decrease for AEW but a 50-70% decrease for wwe ToneDawg won with his 5D chess, he is a genius
>>21108420And it was still shit.
>>21108657No, I don't watch WWE.
>>21108668bodied that hog
>>21108370Tony gets rid of Punk, Cody and Danhausen>Cody has the greatest Wrestlemania moment in years.>Punk has the greatest Wrestlemania match ever.>Danhausen immediately gets over and sells gigantic amounts of merch.TONY FUMBLED *CLAP CLAP CLAP*Don't worry Tony, I'm sure Hangfag Tranny Page, Jack Perry, Orange Cassidy and Moxley choking guys with plastic bags will get you back above 700k.
>>21108689That was on dynashite
Meanwhile in reality, present day, Ospreay won the most important World Championship in the business today in front of over 40,000 people, while Phil sharted the ring in front of less of 40,000 people in a midcard match.AEW is doing just fine without that crybaby bitch.
>>21108370CM Punk won
3 already? Wtf?
>>21108572>he left *Fired with cause
>>21108370I think he over reacted and was stupid to not at least try to turn this into a work shoot gimmick of some kind like CM Punk forming a stable with as many ex WWE guys as he could at the time and trying to take over AEW. Yes it's the NWO again who cares
>>21108370Punk should have been fired after Brawl Out. Choosing Punk over Cody is what killed AEW's brand image.
>>21108945Trans rights are not human rights because they're asking for rights that only trannies would need. If anything, trans rights is asking for a protected minority class but that would require more cops because based on the YLYL threads, black men love stomping out trannies.
I am sorry choosing Jack Perry over CM Punk is retarded objectively. CM Punk needs to be managed by an alpha male type which Tony isn't but he has Arn Anderson under him so I dunno why he never used him to humble him
3 Weeks Ago Cuck Man Phill Shat His Drawers
>>21108637When's the last time RAW broken into the top 10 (on a monday!) and got a milly?
>>21109084RAW existing doesn't change AEW failing
If Tony sided with punk he would have lost the bucks, Kenny, ftr, Daniels, jungle jack, cutler, and Mox. He wisely went with his top draws over a top draw.
>>21109132>KennyKenny publicly supported him after and losing the rest would have been a net positive although I think cuck Daniels would have stayed
Lmao with CM Tony actually sold out the England soccer ball stadium. Now they struggle every year to justify putting a show in the stadium
>>21109138Losing the bucks, a pillar and mox would be good?
>>21109160Yes 100%
>>21108764Punk sold out United Center in his hometown on a fucking rumor. This cuck raising his wifes black son couldn't even sell out in his hometown
>>21109165Insane.
>>21109183It's not. Notice how you have no counter argument just slurs.
>>21109132Worse than losing any one talent or a group, he basically would've confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt that he wasn't in charge of his own company, Punk was. Punk was completely above consequences and could do whatever he wanted to anybody on the roster. All that for another five-ish years of a high-level TV draw that is inconsistently present because of how injury prone he is would not have been worth it.
>>21109216That is not a slur.
>>21108764>AEW is doing just fine without that crybaby bitch. How were All In 2026's ticket sales compared in All In 2023?
>>21109244It is and I accept your concession
>>21109255Bucks broke wrestling back into the mainstream with the bullet club tshirt.
>>21109271I accepted your concession we are good
>>21108370i think AEW is only just this year really starting to recover from the loss of punk. he is one of the last draws in wrestling in any company, losing him was obviously a major loss. but he would have found a way to get fired anyway, if it wasn't here it would've been somewhere else. having said that, jungle bitch's contract should have been allowed to expire.
>>21109283Naw that’s your concession. Take the popcorn and hotdog.
>>21109179That part
>>21108370>Top Draw
>>21108393>He had the biggest fucking story in wrestling when it came out The Bucks and PunkExactly. Someone with any amount of brain cells would have booked around this. Whether you like Punk or not, he draws. You could have milked this entire scenario into a generational storyline. Booked correctly, you could actually beat WWE directly in the ratings.
>>21108945Many are saying this
>>21112325>brain cellsTony removed all of those with Adderall.
>>21108393>AAAAAAHHH TONY ISNT A MASSIVE CARNY WHO WILL PROFIT OFF OF HIS WORKERS’ PERSONAL, SAVE ME DURAG VINCE MAN
>>21109298>i think AEW is only just this year really starting to recover from the loss of punk. And Cody. WWE's two biggest draws were on AEW's roster and Tony couldn't figure out how to book them. "Recovery" for AEW basically means people have just accepted they aren't going to be more than they currently are. Their ratings are no longer in a free fall and have stabilized between 500-600k. But the days of 1.3 million for Rampage or consistent millies for Dynamite are never coming back. And it's never going to be a direct competitor to WWE. It's a pseudo-Indie show booked by an autistic freak that loved ECW for its wrestling moves and not the blood, beer cans, and Francine's ass in a thong
>>21112373cody was not a draw in AEW, the audience actively hated him
>>21108379You're expecting too much from Tony Khan anon
>>21112542Numerically speaking, Dynamite's highest ratings were with Cody. Original All In doesn't happen without Cody. Cody was a draw. Toward the end, he was booked into a corner and the audience did turn on him and his wife, but AEW doesn't exist without Cody. All In doesn't happen without Cody. And what WWE did with him should prove he's a draw.
>>21112373>Tony couldn't figure out how to book them.Cody booked himself.
>>21113224>Dynamite's highest ratings were with Cody.Jericho, you mean. Cody was never the top guy in AEW.
>>21108379Tony isn't a real businessman, he's a spoiled kid with autism whose goal in life was to play with real life action figures and pretend they're his friends while they leech off his dad's money.
>>21113238Cody kept himself away from the AEW title because his plan since the beginning was always to come back to WWE with top star treatment and the WWE Championship story. That story would struggle if he was top champion elsewhere in a place fans knew about. He knows how to play the game. He used a money mark to work that cuck Vince into giving him a WM main event and the WWE Championship.
Who cares? Both sides seem happier. Maybe there's some regrets, but everyone has probably moved on. The only thing that doesn't sit right with me is that Punk says he's for the boys, but he would have been happy if AEW died and all his buddies that got fired would be relying on 100k a year contracts from TNA. He should be grateful there's actually someone out there making sure the boys are can still get paid.
>>21113245>Jericho, you meanHuh? They still have Jericho, right? You would think if Jericho were solely responsible for their initial high ratings AEW would still be getting regular millies
>>21113287>Cody kept himself away from the AEW title because his plan since the beginning was always to come back to WWENah, it was just shit booking and Cody deserves criticism because he helped book that. Having the title didn't stop Punk or Mariah from making the jump. Cody booked himself into a corner and he had no where to go except heel or WWE. His AEW run wasn't perfect, but it did draw for a couple of years.
>>21113344>Who cares?Wrestling fans care. Initial AEW was a weird mix of indie flippy shit fans and WCW memberberries addicts. And there were a lot of people that really just wanted WWE without late stage Vince retardation. So you got a weird mix of dudes like Arn Anderson, Jake Roberts, Jericho, Cody, the Bucks, Omega, and Orange Cassidy. People have come to terms now with the fact that AEW is basically a wrestling fan's real-life wrestling fig collection and the booking is just a mental third grader playing with his favorite figurines every week. That's the only logic there is. It doesn't matter if someone is over. It doesn't matter if they are dimes. Story doesn't matter. Style doesn't matter. It's all about Tony and you are along for the ride. For wrestling fans though, it's tough to move on from something like a Bucks/Punk feud because it not only made sense financially, it would have been dimes.
>>21108379We have class.
>>21113460>They still have Jericho, right? Not as champ. If anything, ratings started falling off after he lost the belt. Cody was never the face of the company as top guy. You wanna ignore that part as well, dontcha. kek
>>21113578Promo's good.
>>21108945>CM Punk won
That's why he's KWABOTY
dronies having to suck cuck man phil's dick after spending a decade mocking him will always make me laugh.
>>21109247THAT PART
I still dont understand why perry got punished
>>21116771kek what a booker of the year
>>21116809Kinda like you and Edge, New Day, Sasha, Tommaso Ciampa, the list goes on...
>>21117134edge is the only shitter on that list
>>21116809lol you have to pretend to like New Day now
>>21117148i loved the new day since before they even officially formed. creed and kofi have been my boys since day one, and I've wanted to see them face the bucks since at least 2017. their hell in a cell against the usos is one of my favorite matches of all time.
>>21115664>Not as champ. If anything, ratings started falling off after he lost the belt.So you are saying you believe that putting the belt back on Jericho would result in a ratings increase?
>>21115664>Cody was never the face of the company as top guyClosest thing they had. Omega was a face for a bit, but mostly a heel. Jericho was doing the heel/face thing trying to get his 15 different factions over. Mox was too busy blading every week to be a face. Page could have been but they waited too long to put the belt on him and they took away his whiskey. If Cody didn't do stupid shit like his reality show, taking himself out of the champ scene, or make Brandi part of his storylines, he'd have been the face of the place.
>>21108370It was for the better. Phil's sexual frustration would've eventually gotten to him. And he would've raped.
>>21117700The irony here being that any of the women who made fun of his gift cards would gladly accept them now after having to job to Willow and Mercedes for 3 straight years and watching Punk become the biggest wrestling act in the world. How has the last 3 years treated Britt?
>>21117177Bullshit, no one liked them when they debuted, that's why they turned them heel.
>>21112325>Whether you like Punk or not, he draws. No he doesn't lmfaoHe never did in 2011, 2021, or 2026
>>21117818I say pretty good. (Exempt for the seizure) she was getting payed to do nothing. Probably getting payed more than phil.
>>21108379>AEW>profiting
