Face it, the industry is best when it is edgy, crass and violent. I got into wrestling as a kid because of the violence and profanity. Imagine how much a product like what WWE had between 1997 and 2007 would stand out in today's PC, sanitized media landscape? AEW is held back by the indie mentality of its owner, talent and some fans. There's a good reason why no one watches indie wrestling. Most of it sucks and is incredibly cringe. Nobody wants to see dick spots, vanilla midgets or heatless 20 minute bangers with no story. AEW should be at least double it's current stature. But they chose to cater to neckbeard virgins and fags over straight adult men. I can appreciate great wrestling matches but the industry is about a lot more than that.
