How do guys call matches on the fly in Japan? Because in all my years of watching I don't recall catching somebody audibly or visibly calling a spot during a match. You can hear the most minute of grunts in the middle of ''rest holds'' so you'd think that it'd be more obvious to notice a bit of ring chatter but they're either very good at hiding it or they've got another way of communicating in the ring.

UHHHH SAKURA CHAN BAKA UHH UGUUUUU

This is going to trigger some people. In general Japan has better workers, so they can improvise better, and there are like only really 4 ways to bump, so as long as they know which one they need to do they can mostly figure it out. They aren't thinking about what videogame they have in the back, or what kind of tweet they're going to make, or wanting to be back on their phone. They just exist in the moment like American wrestlers use to.

Is this bait? They do it the same way, they're just better at it in Japan.

You're not gonna hear then whispering shit to each other during whips or when the heads are close during rest holds, genius. They do it the same way. A lot of the reason you haven't caught as many is they're more careful about doing it there precisely because it's so much more quiet at times like you said. Here guys are so loud sometimes because the arenas are so loud and the mics under the ring pick it up.
