Crazy how every actual wrestling fan online has been overwhelming with praise for the show, while obese smarks are pretending it was the worst thing everHmm, wonder who’s right.
Why are Cody and Orton feuding again? Didn't it end at WM?
>>21137430I do think it's likely that TKO learned a lesson from the last couple of wrestlemanias and how negatively people responded. Yes, when they let the creative people do their job, we end up with really fantastic main events like the one last night. I can't wait to see what comes next.
>>21137434Watch the product.
>reheated codyverse pigslop for the troughoink oink dronies
>>21137430>would of got
>>21137437I don't really want to though. Every time I do it sucks. I'm just asking because the last time I watched, Cody beat him clean. I didn't even know Orton was back.
>>21137435“People” did not negatively respond, they were universally successful. WWE does not care about 50 terminally online smarks.
>>21137430>amazing storytellingCome on. WWE is to stories what a 5 page picture book is to a toddler.
>>21137430>Amazing storytellingLmao? What's the story?
>>21137430sounds like they're copying will ospreays last run, just in a super gay pg way. not surprising since hhh is obsessed with AEW.
>>21137449but what if they do like lots and lots and LOTS of bad Cagematch reviewsand then Dave gives all the matches bad scoreswill that make you change your mind about what you enjoy????? PLEASE??
>>21137437I wouldn't dare
>>21137453>you have to tapdance for me and use all your energy to lay out all the facts>just so I can be a faggot and dismiss everything in 4 secondsno thanks cocksucker, got better uses of my time
>>21137430God drones are fucking pathetic kek
>>21137441language is fluid sweety
There are literally no other threads about the show on the catalog other than this one, what the fuck happened
>>21137430>actual wrestling fan>Julian WeeksPick one, you can't have both
>>21137498ok jeetanon
something that simple would have these people freaking out watching a new japan ppv lmfaooo
>>21137453The story is the classic “unstoppable force meets immovable object…but something has to give” drama. For Cody, the immovable object is “Do things the ‘right’ way with integrity and sportsmanship because that’s the example a QB1 role model should set publicly for young fans and the media.”And the unstoppable force is “Be WWE Champion.”The string of losses and adversity is making Cody realize both can no longer be true simultaneously. One has to give. So what’s going to give? His commitment to upstanding behavior…or his desire for the championship? I’ll give you one guess, lol. It’s the perfect way to turn him “heel” because it’s not a sudden stupid heel turn for shock value. It makes sense based on what we already know about what matters to Cody. It’s basically the Smiegol-to-Gollum story arc from Lord of the Rings. The title is Cody’s precious, and we’re watching the slow burn of what it looks like when a good guy becomes obsessively corrupted by a prize. It’s good storytelling for this character at this stage. Enjoy the ride. It’s fun to watch Walter White become Heisenberg.
Funny the people that find the storytelling from WWE good, all look the same. They have access to the best writers in the world and hire fools. WWE should be the most creative company in the world.
This is why nobody takes WWE fans seriously when they talk about "muh stories."This is toddler level storytelling that would get a real tv show laughed off the air.Wrestling is at its best when it has great matches with minimal attempts at garbage shallow "stories" like this.
>>21137557>imagine writing all this bullshit or even getting an AI to generate it for you Grim
forgot this was on. how was orton moving?
>>21137557I love how slowly it's happening. They're really taking care with it.
>>21137564>This is toddler level storytelling that would get a real tv show laughed off the air.Like AEW Rampage?
>>21137557And boom goes the dynamite
>>21137573Like prime Yokozuna.
>>21137578Like Smackdown on FOX.
>>21137584you misspelled Shockwave
>>21137573Eh, slow. But not noticeably to the point where you feel like you’re pity-watching an old man who can’t give it up (e.g. Flair). It’s pretty clear he has a very limited move-set these days. I’m honestly surprised he still does RKO’s without it wrecking his lower back when he lands. He still looks the part, tho. Just isn’t very entertaining physically in-ring anymore. Has to rely more on gimmicks (like fighting in the crowd with trash cans) and storytelling (like taunting Brandy last night, or groveling to Cody during that dramatic part, etc). He’s doing his best with 50 back injuries at age 46 or whatever.
>>21137494At least they don't unironically worship a pedo and literally call him a god
>>21137584I'm afraid SmackDown is still on TV getting paid much more than when the show was on Fox. Unfortunately, Rampage no longer exists.
>>21137434Yes, it totally ended with Orton kicking the shit out of Cody's head.Fucking retard
>>21137564No one takes you fags seriously in reality. How the fuck you gonna shit on any storytelling and defend Kenny's heel turn outta nowhere and Swerve's face turn outta nowhere that just happened a few weeks ago?
>>21137564A faggot who rates every GayEW show an 11 out of 10 has no room to talk shit about any other companies' storylines.Tony Con just recycles the same shit story and you yards lap it up
>>21137599He was never entertaining
>>21137618I really fucking hate aew fansI hope I never meet one of those faggots in real life, but then I remember that no one watches aew, so I know that won't happen.
>>21137577I agree. There’s definitely no need to rush it. I’m in the camp who thinks the tipping point should be Cody accepting that he needs Heyman. But if that’s where they’re going, they need to find a way for Cody to naturally intersect with Heyman in the ring. It can’t be a backstage Heyman interview where the camera suddenly pans over and Cody is standing there, lol. I really don’t even think they should start scattering seeds that way (e.g. they bump into each other backstage and smile and say ‘call me’ or something.) This is too big for that. They need to contrive some reason for Cody and Heyman to be in the ring at the same time, and then it’ll just happen naturally. Problem is, of course, they’re on different shows now. And they’ve been teasing Heyman’s involvement with Bron or Oba. A lot will hinge on how they play Raw tonight. My guess is someone in the Vision turns on someone (ala the Seth betrayal a couple years ago). If Heyman comes out with them, it’d be cool to see them turn on Heyman. Then later in the show, see Oba rebuff Heyman’s advances. We’re left thinking Heyman is a manager without a man. Then he can go to Smackdown…
>>21137639heymans career is just him being pass around the locker room
>>21137618>No one takes you fags seriously in realitybut enough about adult "men" that watch a PG show for children in the year of our lord 2026
>>21137430So they stole the story of Will not wanting to use the Tiger Driver. Paul has no new ideas.
>>21137650>AEW invented everythingare you like 12
>>21137639I have full faith they'll do it exactly right. This Cody story will be the greatest long term story in wrestling history when it's all over. They've been taking such time with it that a lot of people are only just realizing now that it's happening.
>>21137647If there was an adult wrestling show for men, i would watch it but unfortunately WWE is the closest we got to that.
>>21137666>erm i have to watch the PG kids showyeah we know
>>21137661>This Cody story will be the greatest long term story in wrestling history when it's all over. They've been taking such time with it that a lot of people are only just realizing now that it's happening.
>>21137661pignorance is bliss
>>21137557Didn't he do this story with Kevin Owens? And then he smashed his head with a chair and Kevin disappeared for a year.I remember then, people saying it was great storytelling because Cody has never been afraid to get his hands dirty with he needs to and this shows he's not a squeaky clean "do the right thing" wrestler. Why is he now the opposite? What changed? Wouldn't losing the title make him more desperate, not less willing to do shit he's already done?
>>21137661Separate topic (tho eventually related), but I like what they’re doing with Roman now too. Well, in the big picture (not necessary the month-to-month programs).I didn’t watch any of this shit during the pandemic era, so I have no idea what the “first Bloodline” was like. But for this story, they’re doing a good job building Roman as the family mob boss who’s trying to maintain unity and loyalty while managing internal bickering and infighting. I imagine it’ll lead to Roman proverbially “squeezing too tightly to hold it all together that it suffocates and crumbles.” It’s a tale in what happens when you’re a dictator trying to preserve an empire. Somewhere in that multi-year story, you’ll have the first Oba v Roman match (Oba wins, crumbling the Bloodline). Then you’ll be able to do the Oba v Cody + Heyman match. (Cody wins b/c Heyman screws Oba for rebuffing him back in 2026).Then you’ll be able to circle back to the final Roman v Cody + Heyman match. By now, Roman is long without the bloodline, and the roles are completely flipped from WM40.
>literally the most simplistic story ever with embarrassing scripted dialogue spoonfed to you like a child>OMG LE HECKIN CINEMA GIVE PAUL AN EMMY
>>21137693it do be exactly like that
>>21137693It doesn’t need to be complex to be good, anon.
>>21137681>Didn't he do this story with Kevin Owens? And then he smashed his head with a chair and Kevin disappeared for a year.he dropped kev on a chair that happened to be there. bit different from deciding to punt kick orton in the head
>>21137699When your audience is Downies and man babies who don't know any better you can make them think slop is Shakespeare. Well-adjusted adults prefer complexity and stories that challenge us, though.
>>21137693
>>21137615>ask innocent question >get called a retard for not knowing something Isn't this what you guys claim to hate about AEW fans?
>>21137661>This Cody story will be the greatest long term story in wrestling history when it's all overLads it's Cody Rhodes. Are they gonna do the Reign of Terror with Cody again lol. Oh wait they don't have any faces under 50 anyone cares about never mind.
>>21137746See you later tonight for Raw

>>21137715I don't think pro wrestling is supposed to be challenging. That says a lot about you lmao
>>21137764No you won't. Maybe for the one in Mexico though bud.
Arn would’ve pulled the trigger. It’s hard to get into anything Orton does when he disappears so much for months at a time.

>>21138042>>21138044RAW did another 0.0 in the Nielsen ratings this week :(
