My dad introduced me to wrestling almost 40 years ago. He always liked the Hulkster. I stopped watching eventually after I found out wrestling was fake but he got me into it again after Hogan turned heel and founded the NWO. He was a casual viewer, played football back in college and has always preferred regular sports, but I think he enjoyed that I enjoyed it.I got back into wrestling with New Japan. Tried showing it to him and it bored the shit out of him, "Bunch of Jap guys playing grab ass." He'd always make Chinese sounds whenever he caught me watching it, or if he was on the couch doing something else make a point of snoring.Last time I visited him I put on a Stardom show. Funny enough, despite all expectations he didn't have a problem at all watching a bunch of Japanese chicks running around.
