Are "creative teams" officially dead as a good idea?
>>21149441Once they're introduced into big corporations, they will never be dismantled, because those on them will bitch, backstab, and get their feelings hurt if removed from the team. They also become "friends" with little cliques within the clique, competing with each other. It's like dried bubblegum in hair. It can't be washed out.
>>21149441They can be good when they can still act like regular human beings instead of corporate sycophants with no vision whatsoever and when they have an actual director with Balls steering the ship, which Vince was. TK and HHH are both two sides of the same creatively bankrupt coin.
>>21149441You probably need more than one writer for how many hours of programming they need to fill each week, but you still have to have a "showrunner" with a strong creative vision to keep it together. When WWE went public though, that was the beginning of the end. I do not think you can be truly creative in that corporate atmosphere.
>>21149441A creative team can be a good idea if it's a team full of storytellers who like wrestling and know how it works. They've never worked in WWE because they're ashamed to be wrestling, so they hire people who hate wrestling for their creative team. The few they have who do like wrestling are republicans so are incapable of creativity or storytelling.
>>21149441Creative teams can work, but they shouldn't involve more than 5 people and even that is probably too high of a number.Having one head booker and a rotating group of 2-3 guys that help him would probably work best imo.
>>21149441WRESTLING NEVER HAD WRITERS UNTIL "MOLESTED VINCE" RAPED WRESTLING
>>21149502Nice Cornette rp nigger, but nobody spoke of writers.
>>21149489Mid 2000s WWE writing was creative, but in a borderline insane way, moreso than in the attitude era. You'd think they'd back off the edgy shit after going public but that was when Vince was psychotic with his angles, bringing up necrophilia, raping of commentators, miscarriages, incest, feuding with God, torture, terrorism, reverse racism (Kerwin White), literal mental retardation, scat humor, body horror, the world's largest love machine, shoot eating worms, resurrections, a faked death, culminating into a shoot double murder suicide. It was ludicrous, and they still remained public.
>>21149516That period seems like a continuation of the AE and stuff like Beaver Cleavage but it was always inevitable they would pull back the un-PC stuff after they went public allowing certain parties to get their tentacles into the company.
>>21149545This.
>>21149545But it was still going all the way until Benoit happened. Vince was still dropping the n-word and calling a team of black thugs ''Cryme Tyme''. I get the point that pop culture in general was moving away from that kind of crass tv during the obama years but still, it's hard to imagine that Vinny Mac himself wasn't the sole deciding factor in putting that garbage on his show
>>21149441Its crazy how they employ like 30 failed TV writers and still no one on the roster ever has a storyline
>>21149441Nah they should exist but have to be small and a mix between former wrestlers and tv writers, the hard component to find is the head writer because he has to grasp what wrestling is
>>21149441A creative team can't be good if all of its members have absolutely no capacity for creativity.
>>21149658>he has to grasp what wrestling isThe fuck does this mean?
>>21149699you tell me
>>21149441What kind of ideas has Bobby Roode contributed?
>>21149699It can’t be a smark who prioritizes choreography over TV drama, nor someone who puts drama above mat wrestling. It has to be a person who understands both are what make wrestling great… but those people are hard to find nowadays.
>>21149441if there's more than 3 people, it's doomed
>>21149616>Vince was still dropping the n-word and calling a team of black thugs ''Cryme Tyme''.Fucking kek, wrestling will never be good again
>>21149831Probably had more valuable ideas than fuckin asskiss Bruce Prichard. I think he's a finish guy or something like that.
