TBS was good and bad for WCW. It kept them on the air, but because TBS owned them, they made no money off the cable deal. They would have never gotten to where they were with TBS, but they may have been alive today without them. WCW would have gotten billions in its peak if they had the TV money WWE and AEW do today.
