Literally every match has a purpose, the Houston crowds are on fire for everything that happens, and the characters and storylines are top tier. Why did it only last a year? >>21216581They had their own set of rules where there were no pinfalls and you could win a match by submission, knockout, or an interesting points system based on amateur wrestling rules where basically allowing yourself to take a big bump would cost you in the long run. So you'd get a range of strategic storytelling to explore that gives a lot of stakes to the ''technical'' wrestling that would otherwise be boring in a regular match, as well as completely circumvent the false finish problem that's been killing the intrigue in today's matches. The best part of all of this is that the crowds were really hot for these matches.

I remember seeing a segment of Jim Ross trying to convince the fans that WWF was fake and UWF was real and then showed highlights of guys getting dropped on their heads as proof.
