Progressive politics got injected into wrestling through greater involvement of theater kids and nerds, rather than red-blooded men.

There's a delusion that men and women are equal and able to compete against each other.

Progressive circles refuse to walk this back, no matter how terrible it looks. The idea was that only certain women would act like a special attraction by being able to compete against men, but it would be a temporary thing or for an angle.

This shit is just pathetic though.

I mean, would you get absolutely assblasted if that happened and some people watched it? There are apparently people who want to watch this stuff and wrestlers who want to do it so I have hard time giving a fuck personally.
No point in mentioning suspension of disbelief when it comes to promotions like Mystery Wrestling when they are relying on the comedy/parody aspect. If anything, the biggest offenders are usually the bigger promotions trying to fit their comedy segments into their kayfabe.
