Miku vs Mayu in a title unification to get rid of the Super Fly would have made sense, since there really aren't that many players who fit the weight criteria. A secondary singles title is still necessary and the UN fit that bill just fine. Combining everything into one title is baffling. Although to be fair it hasn't been made clear that's going to be the case.

Unless it's going to be a weird scenario where the winner holds onto only the red belt then vacates the others so tournaments can be arranged to find new champions for those. That way you can get the big gimmick match and still have all the titles while hitting a reset button of sorts.

I'm just going to wait and see for more information.

I am gonna be the outlier here and say I am not as down on this as just about everyone else.

First off I think grand destiny overall got butt reamed by the Abema and WWE relationship and knowing WWE they probably went...naw you can't have your IYO and Giulia for your big show because we are a petty ass company and I say this knowing that Marigold were in negotiations since the 19th of sept to bring in IYO to face Yuzuki and hence the short turn around because I think hatman was banking on multiple outsiders and now here we are....it is gonna be an immensely bitter pill to swallow for him knowing that WWE basically fucked him over because petty Netflix>>>>>Abema.

Secondly I am not as down on this main event choice as plenty of others here simply because it intrigues me with what they are gonna do here and it is not a simple oh this is how it is gonna play out , like idk how the superfly title is play here with its rules , the elimination part always throws a wrench in plans because for example Mayu isn't exempt here from possibly being the first eliminated hell I would say it is the most likely.

It all really comes down to how it plays out with the almost guarantee that the beneficiary here is Yuzuki this will be her coronation when all is said and done IMO and I could not be happier with that.

I just don't get why Rossy seems averse to singles title defenses. There's no reason why Miku and Mayu couldn't have had defenses before Grand Destiny.

Miku lost to Yuuka and Rea in the Dream Star, which didn't get them title matches. Miku could have faced Yuuka at the 10/3 Osaka show then Rea at 10/10 Korakuen Hall. Miku avenges her losses and the only logical person to face next is the Dream Star winner. If nothing else it would have spiced up those cards and maybe moved some more tickets.

Yuzuki got to avenge the one loss she had in the Dream Star in a filler defense against Diana, can't complain there. Yuzuki's next logical step would have been to use her Dream Star win to challenge Miku for the red belt at Grand Destiny. Miku vs Yuzuki would have made sense. Throwing in Mayu to make it a triple threat turns the whole thing into a clusterfuck.

Mayu hasn't defended the Superfly since April, she might as well have not had the fucking thing this entire time and she shouldn't have. Komomo could have been champion since Shine Forever and been the midcard/rookie gatekeeper to this point. It would have helped build up that portion of the roster to have them all competing for a title. Instead it's a dead title nobody seemingly wants that's being used as a lazy way to shoehorn Mayu into a triple threat.

Seri is rushing her return so she can job to Sareee in one of those poor "Vet punishes overconfident rookie" Showa matches. You hate to see how bad they are ruining this poor girl. She doesn't have the smarts of Ryoko Sakimura.
