my god she needs to be in jav

>At a press conference ahead of her final match with the promotion, she spoke about her feelings towards Marigold, a promotion she had been a part of since its inception. She emphasized that she had given it her all, having achieved success such as winning the United National (UN) Championship, and stated, "I feel like I've done everything I could." She added, "I don't know what the future holds, but now that I've made the decision to leave, I won't be coming back to Marigold anytime soon," showing her firm resolve.

>After leaving the group, she plans to reduce her workload and focus on treatment. "I want to travel and go to the beach. I hope to refresh myself and think about my future." Sakurai began her entertainment career while still in university and even received a job offer from a major airline during her job search. Having taken on various challenges, Sakurai says, "I once considered taking a regular job, so I hope to find something I want to do during this break."

>[Marigold] Yamaoka Seri to return from lengthy injury absence at Ryogoku, teaming with Yamazaki Yuuka: "I'll be the one who shines brightest"

>It has been announced that Yamaoka Seri (19), who has been sidelined for an extended period due to injury, will return at Marigold's October 24 show at Ryogoku Kokugikan.

>Yamaoka was injured in May during her first defense of the BEW Women's Championship, which she held at the time. Diagnosed with traumatic instability of the left shoulder joint, she underwent surgery and was sidelined for an extended period to receive treatment. In her comeback match, she will team with Yamazaki Yuuka to face Tachibana Nagisa & Minami Komomo. Appearing at a press conference in Tokyo on the 13th, she expressed her feelings about her return, saying, "I'm really happy that I'll be able to wrestle a match with fellow homegrown Marigold wrestlers." Reflecting on her lengthy absence, she candidly admitted, "Watching those three (Yamazaki, Tachibana, and Minami), I went through all sorts of emotions, including feeling anxious about falling behind and getting depressed." She then vowed to win, declaring, "I can't let them beat me. I'll be the one who shines brightest among this group, and Yuuka and I make the best tag team." Meanwhile, her partner Yamazaki was equally fired up, saying, "I believe the four of us can put on a match that shows the future of Marigold. We're going to have an incredibly intense, hard-hitting match!"

>It was also announced that Kizuna Tanaka, who has been sidelined since January with a fracture-dislocation of her left leg, will return on the same day in a match against Shinno.

>[Marigold] Mai Sakurai in tears at press conference… Reveals reasons for her departure and future plans: "I won't be coming back anytime soon"

>Mai Sakurai (36), who will leave women's wrestling promotion Marigold following its October 24 show at Ryogoku Kokugikan, has spoken about the reasons behind her decision and her plans for the future.

>Sakurai made her professional wrestling debut with Actwres girl'Z in February 2020 before moving to Stardom and then joining Marigold at its launch in April 2024. She gained popularity with her "Lady of the Ring" character. At the October 3 Osaka show, she announced that she would leave the promotion following her final match on October 24 in order to receive treatment for her injuries.

>Speaking to reporters on the 13th, Sakurai revealed that, in addition to seeking treatment for her neck, which had been affected by a cervical sprain, and her knees, she needed time off because of stress-related health problems that had persisted since the beginning of the year. "As wrestlers kept leaving, my position within the promotion changed, and there were times when I was pushing myself too hard, trying to live up to a role beyond what I could manage. Until now, I'd been finding ways to keep going, but I reached a point where I could no longer balance what was being asked of me with what I was actually capable of doing."

...

>Attention now turns to the next chapter in the life of the Lady of the Ring as she bids farewell to the ring for the time being.

Mai isn't calling it a retirement because she'll want to come back to wrestling at some point, even if it's for an actual retirement run. Kind of like what Rin did this year.
