Who was in the wrong here?
>>
Vince literally told Angle not to choose Puder to do a shoot with because he was for real, so Angletty. Furthermore there was only supposed to be one shoot match, Angle picked another guy first, broke his ribs, and went into business for himself by demanding another one. Lil bitch was feeling himself and thought he could take Puder after shooting on some rookie and got KWAB'd because of it.
>>
>>21344443
A 4 star perc addict being a bitch.
>>
>>21344443
Technically speaking, clearly Puder. But him bitching out Kurt Angle cause he felt like it is still hilarious, retards still think Kurt could beat the likes of Ken Shamrock or Dan Severn in a shoot
>>
>>21344450
>Angle picked another guy first, broke his ribs
Kek,so Karma got him back.
>>
>>21344443
Pooder went into business for himself. Him being shoot beaten up at the royal rumble was based, it’s a shame he was fired because I’d watch that every week
>>
>>21344472
>Pooder went into business for himself.
Oh and I guess Bart Gunn went into business for himself for heeming Dr Bitch KWAB Williams in the Brawl for All kek. Don't book two guys in a shoot if you want one guy specific to win, that's what a work is for in the first place.
>>
>>21344468
>retards still think Kurt could beat the likes of Ken Shamrock or Dan Severn in a shoot
Why do you think Shamrock, Severn, and every other MMA name who's moved on to wrestling has done so? It's because they're past their actual athletic prime and know they're starting to get their ass beat so they make the switch to entertainment. Puder was no different, just a younger/less sawdusted version of Angle without the neck problems
>>
>>21344479
>Oh and I guess Bart Gunn went into business for himself for heeming Dr Bitch KWAB Williams in the Brawl for All kek.
No because the Brawl 4 All was an agreed on actual shoot. Tough Enough was, from the start to finish, a work. Or at least it was meant to be
>>
>>21344468
Angle could have beaten most, if not all MMA guys in a shoot freestyle wrestling match when he was in his prime. He would have lost hard under UFC rules though.
>>
>>21344443
Puder for thinking he was somehow gonna get away with breaking the arm of a top talent
>>
>>21344492
>Break the glass ceiling!
>No not like that!
>>
I would have listened.
>>
>>21344488
>Tough Enough was, from the start to finish, a work
This stage was a shoot however. They picked Angle because they thought he was invincible and couldn't lose to any of the rookies. Angle submitted the guy before Puder with a shoot neck crank so he knew what was up, he was just seething he lost.
>>
>>21344443
Puder because nothing good was going to happen by doing what he did
>>
>>21344472
>Him being shoot beaten up at the royal rumble was based
The only way you'd think it was based if you were a total bitch and of course Bob Holly was the first in line to get his licks in on someone he knew wasn't going to fight back due to the situation. Eddie & Benoit too being pussy yes men for Vince only to go on and throw their lives away for a company that thought they were dimeless midgets.
>>
>>21344472
>it’s a shame he was fired because I’d watch that every week
He could have tore the head off that childkilling little midget if he wanted to. It wouldn't have happened every week because he only let it happen once as a receipt.
>>
>>21344486
>Why do you think Shamrock, Severn, and every other MMA name who's moved on to wrestling has done so?
They started doing pro wrestling in the 90s because MMA/NHB as a whole, was still largely illegal. It caused SEG to host cards in smaller states because of huge political pressure from John McCain, so they can loophole their ruleset through local commissions. Ken’s reasons were money related, he did return to the sport in 2000 when Pride was picking up steam. Severn, I’m sure, had his own reasons. Definitely wasn’t past his prime, he still fought actively while doing pro wrestling matches simultaneously, even when he was in the WWF.
>>
>>21344443
huge aura loss for Kurt whatever way you slice it.
you could prob shoot tap out most of the roster in 2004 with a few jiu jitsu classes
>>

Shamrock was a wrestler before going into MMA thoughbeithowever

interesting. if i was in puders place i would have probably done the same thing. dont let people take advantage of you

Also True
>>
OP has been making this Kurt Angle hate thread for like 10 years at this point BTW

but he still fails to explain how it is okay for Puder to just shoot on him unplanned in the middle of a worked match which is exactly what happened
>>
>>21344443
I feel this segment would have been handled properly, if *I* had the book.
>>
>Who was in the wrong here?
Benoit, Eddie and Bob Holly
>>
>>21345396
Three little bitches, good thing they're all dead. Dunno where Puder is right now but he surely is alive and healthy.

its explained here

and here

>Angle submitted the guy before Puder with a shoot neck crank so he knew what was up
angle was taking liberties and trying to seem like a tough guy. obviously puder saw what was happening and didnt let it happen to him
>>
>>21344443
There wouldn't have been anything wrong with this had these guys not been adolescent minded bitches getting prissy over things not going according to plan. Puder showing his aptitude should have put him in more spots where he'd have to prove his ability as opposed to punishing him like a hysterical woman. The rumor was that he talked a lot of shit backstage but they could have easily put him into a few matches with little to no planned spots and see how well he does on tv as a professional wrestler to teach him a real lesson. All this did was give him an infinite victim complex and a story to tell for the next 50 years.

Wrestlers are the biggest faggots. They have such a bizarre cult like mentality. Puder apparently rubbed people the wrong way for buying a 90K car after winning TE. Like who fucking cares? The guy just won a tournament, got a contract and was hoping for bigger and better things in the years ahead. So he celebrated and made himself look the part of a WWE superstar.

As for this, Angle was taking liberties with rookies. Always used to happen, gotta pay your dues and whatever else. Yet Puder was supposed to let Angle just shoot on him and bust his ribs, shoulder, head or whatever else? "Thanks sir for giving me a hospital bill and ruining my career right as its starting". GTFOH. I love me some Kurt but Puder was 100% in the right and the way they handled it was so embarassing. Three fake tough guys chop the shit out of Puder who plays ball, plays along with them. Kurt couldn't even be man enough to settle the issue backstage or do a match with the guy.

>Kurt couldn't even be man enough to settle the issue backstage
because he wasnt a real pro wrestler like back in the day. he was the start of the modern day faggot vanilla midget wrestler. he got so upset about a planned crucifixion in ecw he ran to vince to have it cancelled. he never travelled with the guys or started from the bottom. he was handed everything. like to see him try this to guys back in the 70s or 80s. they would have either killed him and run him out of wrestling or at the very least shoved his head in a toilet

Brainwashing wrestlers into that kind of petty mentality was pretty much the most efficient way to convince them into destroying their lives on the road for you. Ultimate Warrior said it best when he pointed out that Vince's one great psychological trick was making sure that the talent's lives were in such constant chaos that they had to keep going with whatever you told them to do because it was the only steady part of their routine. If you convince the guys that ''protecting their spot and the business'' is the most important they could do and have them genuinely believe in their character's standing, therefore turning them into marks, they will gladly be ferocious onscreen because that's the one moment where they get to prove their worth for you, their boss. It's not even about the money anymore.
People are quick to label today's wrestlers as complete marks, but I think that's wrong. They took that kind of wrasslin petty business a whole lot less seriously and were more upfront about what kind of things they really value in life, which is vastly different from the atmosphere of the mid 2000s locker room. It does mean that you don't get as much unbridled insanity and dedication as you used to, but a guy playing video games backstage so he could get paid 120k a year for wrestling once a week is far from being as marky as a midcarder dedicating his life to weeding out rookies from the business only to get unceremoniously fired by a large corporation in his 40s.

>Kurt couldn't even be man enough to settle the issue backstage or do a match with the guy

Look at what Bob Holly did to Renee. He had ample time to deal with him backstage in a square fight, but he waited until they were doing a worked match so he could attack him like a bitch. It can't be overstated what an insecure faggot that guy was.

How many of you have been in a fight before? Probably zero. Guys like Puder, Brock, Punk are born to kill. Just ask Luke Perry Jr.

Vince for letting angle shoot on rookies in the first place. Agents for setting up the seg to allow that in the first place. Then Angle for being a tard and picking pruder, despite vince telling him not to do so. Then Vince again for not pulling the plug on the seg when it was clear angle was being a tard. Then Pruder for trying to shoot on on him in the first place. Then Angle for not immediately tapping. Then Pruder for tapping.

Then benoit, eddy and bob for shooting on the kid well after the fact because ???????
Comedy of errors with everyone being in the wrong.

kurt was in the wrong but i'd hate to say that because kurt is the GOAT so i'm just gonna say there's no easy answer here, it's all shades of gray
>>
to this day kurt still doesn't admit that he got outwrestled here
>>
>>21346995
This is the correct answer. It’s all on Vince. For all the reasons you said plus, not sure if you remember, Vince specifically told Kurt NOT to pick Puder because he knew some hooking and he was kind of legit, but they way he said it was patronizing and he knew Kurt would pick him. This is a guy who kept wrestling Brock in the locker room for fun. Vince 1000 percent knew some shit would go down. I would t be surprised if Vince or Herman told Puder here’s your chance go ahead and use submissions even though it was supposed to be wrestling only.

>>21347055
Kurt didn’t get out wrestled in the slightest. Go watch the thing it’s not that long. They were allegedly doing freestyle only, but a 3 count pin. You can’t hear him say it on the mic, but he explained the rules after the squat thrust thing and before he wrestles Nowicki and breaks his ribs. If Kurt wanted to he had him in a front head lock 3 different times, he could have just sprawled and choked him or spun around and took his back and choked him. He was trying to make it look interesting and like a worked match while it was still a shoot. Which he pulled off pretty much, but you see Puder doing nothing but working for a Kimura right out of the gate.

Angle for getting KWAB'd by a rookie and was too pussy to do anything about it backstage so he sent out his 3 stooges to shoot beat up a guy who trusted them to work properly.
Puder's only mistake was not snapping that fake tough guy faggot's arm.
