I think New Japan is doing well right now, their big shows have mostly been better than AEW's this year and Wrestle Kingdom will be a good show that mostly involves New Japan guys going over AEW guys.
>>21344852Take away Revolution, Double or Nothing, and All In and AEW has been rancid dogshit this year. By far their worst year in existence. You can say the year before with the death riders was worse but at least it was an angle and they had shit going on from week to week. This year has just been nothing all fucking year. The Darby hotshot meant nothing in the end. The Omega-Ospreay angle was terrible outside of the match.

You are gonna take the AEW dick at WK and like it.

>>21344852I agree. Which isn't to say it's where it needs to be, not by a long shot. But I find it more watchable.I hate on AEW but I don't hate it. It's a frustrating experience because there are flashes of what it could be, something really worth tuning into. But there's also just these little bits of wackiness that just don't work and make it hard for me to take the company as a whole seriously at the times when it needs to be taken seriously and it pulls the whole thing down. Which isn't to say you can't have comedy or goofiness, wrestling has always had both. Japanese wrestling does goofy shit all the time. But with AEW it feels like there's always this *wink wink nudge nudge* underlying everything that makes it impossible for me to get fully invested. And that's even as someone who doesn't mind the stories and likes a lot of the in-ring action.
