I was thinking back to the 2012 main event scene and how much it illustrated WWE's failure to build up new stars, but after looking at all the failures from 05 up to 12, I don't know if there really was all that much potential. See for yourself:>Mr. Kennedy>Wade Barrett>Chris Masters>Vladimir Kozlov>Rob Conway>Mason Ryan>Luther Reigns>Matt Morgan>Muhammad Hassan>Mark Jindrak>Sean O'Haire>Bobby Lashley>Ezekiel Jackson>Kevin Thorn/Mordecai>Nathan Jones>Orlando Jordan>Titus O'Neil>Tyson Tomko>Carlito>David Otunga>Rene Dupree>The Bashams>The Dicks>Deuce & Domino>John Morrison>Shad & JTG>MVP>The Spirit Squad>Lance/Garrison Cade>Trevor Murdoch>Heidenreich>Snitsky>Mike Knox>Vance Archer>Shannon Moore>Curt Hawkins>McAllisters>Zack Ryder>Kizarny>Mistico>Chuck Palumbo>Festus (he was genuinely over)>Drew McIntyre (at the time)And that's not even counting the names that were released in developmental like Bram, Rob Terry, Mike Kruel, Kevin Matthews, Onyx...etc.What else could you have done with all of these guys?
Maybe he should have signed ROH guys sooner instead of being a size queen
>>21344912Teddy Hart & Low Ki going full retard on WWE television would have given the company a second wind
Bryan, The Shield and The Wyatts unironically saved WWE
>>21344904This match was awesome. I have no idea why smarks were so butthurt
>>21345124>This match was awesomemaybe on planet retard
>>21344904Drew was screwed because he was put under Taker at the time. Triple H got Sheamus. So Sheamus got a big push and his output was also better because Triple H is legitimately better at developing talent than Undertaker.MVP, Morrison, Otunga, Carlito, Lashley, Hassan, Barrett and Mr. Kennedy all had great potential.MVP, Morrison, Barrett and Mr. Kennedy were screwed because WWE never fully got behind them.Otunga wasn't ready. He had been wrestling for a little over a year by the Nexus angle and was impressive at everything except putting together an entertaining match. Nexus was meant to make Barrett the company's next top heel and Otunga the next top face. He needed more time before the call up.Hassan was legendarily bad creative. Great talent, amazing gimmick. Make him a face the crowd boos and there's really something there.Carlito and Lashley needed minor tweaks to make the main event scene but were close.
>>21344904Yes, and John Cena never made anybody, he's way worse than Hogan in that regard. Cena only ever tore guys down and protected his spot at all costs. All while he acts like the good guy and pretends to give a shit about the business in reality the motherfucker is only looking out for himself.
>>21344904Masters, Barrett, Lashley, Carlito, Morrison, MVP, Ryder and Drew all could've been decent main event talent if WWE wanted
>>21345214Why does only Cena get that? Randy did the same as Cena. Who did Randy ever make?
>>21345117HOLY TRVKEI’ve been watching since the 90s, and the 2004-2011 period was fucking grim.It wasn’t until 2012 with Bryan, Shield and eventually Wyatts breathed new life into wwe and finally made it feel like something was going to change, and it did. 2012-2016 is underrated. It was the last time wwe was good.
>>21345214was he supposed to write the angles for all those guys? even if he put them over they would have been dead in the water afterwards.
From 2009 to 2012 the following names were all out of the TV schedule>Batista>Jeff Hardy>Undercarder>HHH>Shawn Michaels>Edge>William Regal>Matt Hardy>JBLPretty big shoes to fill for the FCW graduates without this many old timers to put them over
>>21345213>Otunga>great potentialare u 'avin a laff m8
You can blame him for being a shoot kek that lost his company
>>21345250You're acting like he never politicked and got in Vince's ear, you fucking retard that's comes with the territory of "protecting his spot". God you newfags are retarded. Also Randy got Riddle and Cody over off the top of my head.
>>21345467ok, how u know?
>>21345241Cena gets infinitely more shit because he was the face of the promotion for over a decade. Randy, whilst being a top star, kept fluctuating up and down the card for 90% of his career, so it was far easier to ignore him
>>21345467>Also Randy got Riddle and Cody over off the top of my head.Legacy didn’t get Cody over lmao, unless you’re referring to that one 2013 storyline where Cody got fired
>>21345537yeah Randy was basically a non entity from the end of his Taker feud up to when he shaved his head in 2008
>>21345447nah thats you
>>21344904Snitsky had GOAT potential.
>>21345117>>21345248>BryanMindbroke Vince into making every baby face a geek who loses constantly thinking he can recreate the magic>Shield Breakup began the eternal Reigns push while Seth and Dean endured humiliation rituals>Wyatts Bray got buried by Cena and then doubled down on the I AM LE SPOOPY MAN nonsense
