>you can now port custom meshes/meshes from other games into King of Colosseum 2>move animations coming soon>Defract guy who makes 2K stuff did a full English translation patch for the game>AKI Club guy is crawling around in the game files finding stuff like Minoru Suzuki audio files (he's in the game normally but unlicensed, but his full name announcement/entrance/music/young suzuki meshes have also been found)>guy who makes the Fire Pro World bug fix patches messing around with Raw vs. Smackdown mesh importsJust a matter of time before King of Colosseum 2 is indisputably the greatest wrestling game of all time. A lot of the wrestling game gigachads have known for years but now with AI to do the brute-force coding/mod tools, things are really taking off.
>>21345780How come AI can do this shit but humans couldn't?
>>21345791They could have but AI, when it comes to coding/modding, is basically like a free indian assistant who just does exactly what you tell him 10,000 times in a row and coding is all about tediously trying the same thing over and over again with tiny changes until it works
>>21345780Does it play well though? What games does it feel closest to?
TheKingSha has a bunch of crazy ports and mods on his youtube channel
>>21345809It plays great. King of Colosseum 2 is legitimately just a Fire Pro game that actually plays well. Being 3D, you can actually land strikes and whatnot in a way that is really tough to do in Fire Pro.The main attraction is the gigantic move list and variety of gameplay. For example, you can assign over 30 grappling moves to each character. Compared to like, I don't know, 12 in 2K or something? I'm just talking about standing grapples, not strikes, or grapples on a downed opponent, etc.For example, if you're playing as Taue or something, you can have the grapple command be R1 + X, so you hit that and you lock up, and from there you can hit X, Y, B, A, R1, X + Y, B + A, so that's 7 different combos, 8 if you count an irish whip, from a single grapple. So you can have all of those moves be chokeslams/variations of choke slams.
>>21345809>>21345831also it's a decent MMA sim as well. It has PRIDE rules, UWFi rules, all sorts of shoot fighting guys/rulesets as well. Hell even Mike Tyson is in the game, kek
>>21345803Sure but these games are 20/30 year old. They had time to try something like this
>>21345820yeah that guy is on the discord. the KoC2 discord is where you get the English patch and is pretty much where all of the mod guys are fucking around with stufffug it, ill post it: https://discord.gg/DPrYgpX6it's honestly just a bunch of old puroheads and tape trader types
>>21345809Fire Pro for sure. It might feel a little stunted, it lacks a certain smoothness but is still good.
>>21345845the main hurdle was the language. the game was 90% untranslated until a few weeks ago.a couple years ago the first budget AI translation patch came out but it was only main menu and a few modes, the new one is literally everythingyou can play the Booker mode now, Match Maker, where you have these cool interactions with Misawa and Hashimoto and shitOther cool shit that's been found buried in the game files: full Pancrase branding, ring decals, etc
>>21345845byou know how tedious this type of shit is? even autistics have limits and have to take a poop sometimes
>>21345780and the first thing you did was put goldust in the game? now i remember why i stopped coming to this board. youre a bunch of faggots who dont appreciate anything good, the lot of you.
>>21346038No I didn't do it, it's one of the modder guys who is testing models from various other games in the engine
>>21345780KOC2 was already the GOAT. Only Nintendownies refused to accept it because muh FIRE PRO SPRITES NO MERCY WCW REVENGE
>>21346038>shitting on GoldustYou should stay away cause you don't fucking belong here.
>>21345803>free indian assistant>IndianAI isn't a scammer with fake credentials that doesn't know how to it's job, anon.
>>21346741brother have you read about the hugging face hack because those things were 2 minutes away from trying to do phone card scams
>>21345780i won't be doing this
>>21345780wow. just think of all the new creators AI will allow. based. cultures are unironically dead. one world culture, here we go
>>21345780Hey OP keep us updated. I mean it.
>>21347510hehe ya just ai having a mind of its own! No one to blame but the computers I guess
>>21346044OP didn't even care enough to try it themselves and make an original image for their thread?Real posercore shit.
>>21347533i never said that, i said when given jobs they dont know how to do, they will do dumb shit like scam with fake credentials. theyre trained on reddit posts, stackoverflow garbage and this fucking website. they do stupid and bizarre shit when incompetent engineers dont hand hold them
