Was Ryback ever over at any point in time?

He was insanely over for a short period. #2 face behind Cena. Just bad timing for him because The Rock was coming back and they were saving the belt for him.

CM Bitch aka Cuckman Phil still seethes about this to this day

He was 100% white-hot in 2012 before he got buried by losing to Punk and The Shield, even before Cena.

For a short time, undoubtedly. Real "flash in the pan". Must be a complete cocksucker to work with, or hate wrestling or he'd have been back by now. Dude has mid-card monster written all over him. Big, weird-looking without being fugly, decent enough speaker/promo.

They should have hotshotted him to the IC or US title and let him run with that for a bit. It worked for Goldberg. Could have protected him more and had a huge star in him because he was mega over.

>depends on personal opinion
>he ain't the boss/booker
>fuck yes he was
>over half are in their 40s or better, so probably true

When he came back from an injury and turned face again in the build up to Survivor Series 2014 he was instantly over again, but WWE managed to throw it all away almost immediately and gave the Rusev feud they were building to Cena instead.

Even when Ryback was a heel he could still get audiences chanting Feed Me More sometimes.

He was supposed to. I remember him laying out IC champ Miz right before Cena had to go away. When that happened, Ryback was fast tracked to the main event to challenge Punk at HiaC.

during the initial push absolutely, after that it was here and there

his final wwe match where he did phil's entrance popped me and that's what really matters imo
>>
I'll always remember Ryback from saving Kalisto's life during his final match with his "Pre-Show Stopper" weight belt. He was clearly checked out and making a mockery of his remaining time but he was still paying attention enough to realize he didnt turn enough

>Rybitch's delusions
>>
Rybitch was never over. 20 years basically and never once. Stretching all the way back to Tough Enough then Nexus/NXT. In every iteration, Ryan Reeves, Skip Sheffield (Yup Yup, What it Do?) Ryback. It doesn’t matter. The Feed Me More chant was piped in until the crowd played along for a few months. Until they took two seconds to realize it sounded extremely gay and everyone stopped. The damage was done though and Rybitch started thinking he was over despite holding zero cards started acting like he had some sort of negotiating power. My favorite story is that he pitched Vince on taking him off TV, training him in MMA, acting like he was shoot fired and too tough for wrestling then bringing him back to squash Brock (Who he was so intimidated by in real life that he took a viagra before he introduced himself).

Because he was booked strongly for a period, people forget his matches were getting hijacked by Goldberg chants.
