>I'm the NXT Champion and I plan on keeping this title for a long, long time..like six to nine months or so at least, or until they decide to call me up to the main roster
Seriously, what is the point of the NXT Championship if they drop the belt soon after they win it or even more embarrassingly they keep someone back holding the title for a developmental brand? I can't get into any of the angles of NXT for this reason, it should just be random matches booked like PWG was. The letters "NXT" don't even mean anything.

To show that they can carry a brand, be a champion, and deliver world caliber matches

There should be a stipulation that if they win the title and hold it for six months they can "graduate" to the main roster, otherwise none of it makes sense. They go from being a dominate champion on NXT to being just a regular guy on the main roster. Maybe before they would try and make the champion stand out like having Kevin Owens wrestle John Cena but stuff like that rarely happens now.

Every shows champ is the champ, boxing has about 5000 different championships in US alone. Why question the logic? Just accept the grandest title holder in any shiw is the hardest boss of that level

Its stupid. They had Oba lose to people he shouldn't have lost to logically because he was on his way out, but it's the same universe and continuity. It just reminds the audience that what you are watching is fake. Ricky Saints in kayfabe could beat Brock Lesnar now.

Kross sure is carrying the.... *looks up where he's at* MLW brand

You think Rey could really beat a 7'2" guy with twice his reach? Like in real life?
That's why it's pro wrestling, unexpected things happen

Yeah, but you know one day Oba and Saints will be in a Rumble or something together and it won't even be mentioned that Ricky beat him before and he'll just get dumped over the top rope to the floor.

Yeah and I don't see a problem with it. It might as well never happened by Main roster standards, main roster itself isn't 100% what happened girl or in their time line.
Additionally the business is in a constant change so they choose who to sell and how to talk about them on commentary, of course they aren't gonna mention every detail.
Does Ricky look like should have been in that spot even on NXT, no. I get what you are saying, but in the world of wrestling cheaters and chickenshit win sometimes
