Only if the contract of the security guard has a clause that they agree to be prop or part of the act

Lawyer here who has read the article. I think Mr. Otunga’s argument is plausible but his conclusion is very premature. Here’s how I’d break it down:

1. Intent isn’t consent. Even if Mr. Ford intended to entertain the crowd that doesn’t automatically make his behavior appropriate.

2. Laughter isn’t consent. Just because the moment was presented as comedy doesn’t mean the person on the receiving end was comfortable with it.

3. Unwanted sexual behavior matters. Mr. Ford gyrated his hips sexually in front of the security guard, who appeared visibly uncomfortable and unsure how to react.

4. Intent doesn’t erase impact. You can be joking and still make someone uncomfortable. The fact that an audience finds something funny doesn’t mean the person on the receiving end does.

The legal question is whether Mr. Ford’s conduct meets the requirements of the claims Mr. Lucas has filed. But dismissing the situation as harmless simply because it was intended as a joke overlooks the guard’s apparent discomfort. Comedy isn’t a free pass to disregard someone else’s boundaries.

GPT or not he’s right. Of course WWE has been making record profits thanks to HHH it can afford better lawyers. So you have to account for that too.
