Did people like it? I thought it was a bit convoluted

The people who watched it were always going to pretend they liked it no matter what happened. The people who would actually be critical of it stopped watching long ago because the cultists and Tony's shit booking chased them

Honestly, I didn't watch because it seemed so damned convoluted going in. I normally just watch Japanese wrestling but tune in for the occasional AEW show/ppv despite my general distaste for many aspects of the company because I still prefer it over e-slop.
I don't like multiman matches much to begin with but that just seemed way too much and the rest of the card just didn't draw my interest either except maybe one or two of the matches. Wasn't worth $40 to me when I've got NOAH and STARDOM ppvs coming up.

It was stupid, you can't go from "every match between top guys lasts 20 minutes minimum with at least 5 false finishes" to a pin every minute
Also takeshita getting eliminated early instead of ricochet pissed me off

This. Will went from kicking out of death riders, stomps, one winged angels, rainmakers to getting pinned by one coffin drop.

When falls mean less it makes perfect sense to preserve your strength. This especially goes for submissions.

The only way something so simple seems so convoluted to you is because you grew up with burger public education.
You're a retard in short.
>>
>>21377183
This ONLY goes for submissions you mean, and it doesn't apply here because the only submission fall had ospreay getting choked for 2 minutes instead of tapping right away
>>
>>21377102
The idea was a bit silly but any idea can work with the right execution. The Iron Survivor matches are genuinely pretty good and that has an arguably even dumber rule-set but they were booked rather smartly.
This match just had Ospreay's unoriginal fingerprints all over it with "LETS GET OUT SHIT IN THEN SELL FOR A BIT THEN STOP SELLING TO GET MORE SHIT IN BRUV"

Plus it was only this for the first few minutes then the final minute. For most of it, it was 2 guys in the ring doing a singles match while everyone else played dead on the outside.

WrestleDream? More like Wrestlepants.
>>
It was entertaining as a video game style gimmick match but it kind of buries your regular matches to have so many easy falls.
>>
>>21377102
This match reminded me why the NXT version uses a penalty box, because otherwise you get a match with a bunch of guys lying around "dead" until they pop up to do their finish
>>
>>21377102
Not convoluted for me, just lame and predictable.
We all know Will was booked to win going into to this show. If we didn't and they had us believe that anyone could actually win then the match would have been more fun. Good concept but bad booking.

guy who doesn’t understand simple ring psychology
