>>21377441Stardom still holding firm at number 2.
Holy shit DG is at number 4? Good for them!
>>21377441>Strong Style Pro - 2,838 (4 shows, 2 w/o reported attendance, 1,419 avg)>SSPW World Tag Team Championship>Masashi Takeda & Super Tiger>Strong Style Legend Championship >Kuroshio TOKYO Japan>Strong Style Women's Tag Team Championship >Jaguar Yokota & Megumi YabushitaHuh. Jaguar Yokota still a draw after all these years, who knew.
>>21377737Where's DDT tho
>>21377743I'm not OP, but I looked up a similar running thread on Reddit... it states that DDT, Marvelous, and Sendai Girls don't publish reliable numbers.https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/1wy3eii/ticket_sales_of_japanese_promotions_in_september/
>>21377441>Big Japan - 12,464 (78 shows, 17 w/o reported attendance, 204 avg)>Ice Ribbon - 4,541 (63 shows, 7 w/o reported attendance, 81 avg)The saddest shit I've ever seen
>>21377743likely around dragon gate and ajpw, they stopped releasing numbers since some time: "they don't want to involve themselves in console war" and other stuff (cf's director akito said that but can't remember the source atm)jp uncs are as retarded as your average /pw/ fag when it's about numbers, so can't even blame that choice
>Sareee-ISM - 3,896 (3 shows, 1,298 avg)Wait, I thought Sareee wasn't a draw - why does her average show outdraw practically every other company except NJPW and Strong Style Pro?
>>21377815Sporadic shows add flair to her brand, as she wrestles across the Indies.
>>21377857I get it's sporadic, I'm just saying - I can't imagine someone drawing on that relative level for even one show if she was completely dimeless like critics assert.
>>21377441how do some of these promotions manage to keep the lights on with so little paying customers? do their wrestlers work for free? or is their income heavily supplemented by merch and other shit?
>>21377922Part time wrestlers working for a hot dog, coupled with minimal expenses. They run bingo halls for a reason.
>>21377922Don't know if it's still a widespread thing but some of the wrestlers have money mark sponsors
>>21377441How did DG lose their stronghold at #2? Are the young kids just not draws?
>>21377922There was a recent hoohaa about Takaiwa, a NJPW jr legend from the 90s having to work Uber eats delivery nowadays in his 50s. Alot of these niggas aren't rich at all
>>21380483Maybe shun is a draw?
>>21380483Joshi is just that big a draw and NOAH has the privilege of the nostalgia pops with Tanahashi in 2025, Muta in 2023 and now getting Naito in 2026. DG just doesn't have a chance of signing talent like that. Also the fact that New Japan either signs their top draws like Shingo & Skywalker, or picks DG wrestlers for a tour like Dragon Dia (BOSJ/Jr. Tag League 2024 & 2025) and now HYO (BOSJ/Jr. Tag League 2026) and they're not really offering anything in return, it's just talent leaving the promotion for 2 months every year. I mean the talent might get over, but it isn't getting any New Japan fans to check out DG that a DG wrestler is there filling out a tournament spot.
there is no need for these many promotions, most of them should merge
if you have an average attendance under 400 you should fold. There, 11 promotions gone.
>>21380561>>21380571a lot of small promotions are tied to local and rural zones of the country. no wonder american wrestling is terrible if the first thing you think is taking down ppl's jobs because "profit"
Based Kyushu pro
>>21380663You don't need to create a promotion to do events.Bring back actual promoters.
>>21380663The reason why Dragongate has such high numbers but such a low average is because they do hundreds of these local/rural shows
>>21381070It's their market since differently from other promotions they don't focus their user base on TokyoI don't live in Japan, but I know that a lot of puro fans wish for more big/medium sized promotion to work more outside the capital, and even if transport works damn fine, no everyone is willing to travel once or twice a week
