It was a fun match concept, but it really shouldn't be a main event match. It's the kind of match you put in the middle of a show with a bunch of high energy workers. Similar to ultimate x at its best
A match type that chaotic shouldn't have debuted with the champion retaining
>>21378256Fun match, but after that masterpiece with Davis and Mox, everything would have been shitty.
>>21378256my fabarit match of the year
>>21378256Yeah it would've been better for one of the midcard belts
What was even the point of speedbitch and takeashit being there? The entire elimination aspect can just be axed.
>>21378256>It was a fun match conceptYeah we know. We've had it in WWE for years
Iron Survivor is objectively better because of the penalty box.
>>21378256>everyone gets their shit in super fast>then it's just a series of singles matches>then everyone gets their shit in againIt was laid out in a very boring way
>>21378310I seriously don't understand people could possibly like this idea even as a concept. If you lose in the first 15 minutes you're out but if you're still alive once everyone's in the match you can lose indefinitely and maybe even win? It's not a difficult concept, it's just needlessly stupid.Doing a straight up scramble or an elimination gauntlet on their own would've been better and no one will ever be able to convince me otherwise.
>>21378350King of the mountain did it first
>>21378402>if you're still alive once everyone's in the match you can lose indefinitely and maybe even win? That's basically an Iron Man match, anon.
>>21378256I don’t see why Okada or Takeshita didn’t win this. What exactly about this show had anything to do with inoki?
>>21378339You had an elimination gauntlet as the first half of a match?
>>21378414Yes I understand the concept dude. I just think it's stupid to have half a match be elimination only for it to turn into a scramble. You don't even get points if you manage to eliminate someone in the first half. Why shouldn't those count? There was absolutely no reason to merge these concepts into the same match.
It needed 12 people. The type of match it wanted to be isn’t impossible, there just wasn’t enough for the gauntlet portion to have meant anything.12 fits the clock gimmick, lets people have fun with entrances for a bit, and allows for enough reasonable eliminations before the final 15 minute blitz. By that point there should be enough people that that 15 minutes is just a chaotic scramble of point collecting. But yes, a match like this shouldn’t see the champion retain unless it’s Orange in the middle of his international run.
>>21378350That’s what makes overwrought and retarded, actually
>AEW pulls of a new gimmick and future storyline that came together seamlessly and organicly >here’s why it was bad
>>21378474kek based GODDITGoddit board btw, newbitch
>>21378270It had the perfect opportunity for COPE to win and they blew it
>>21378474I didn't say it was bad. I said it was good, but it was just in the wrong place. It's like if you had a ladder match, but it was between rikishi and Abdullah the butcher while you had Jeff Hardy and Rob Van dam face off in a strap match
>>21378525>b-PPV with a short build is the wrong place for a multi man gimmick match
>>21378717>b-PPVshouldn't every PPV goes balls to wall to attract new fans?
