2002: Smackdown was better. Felt like the premier show, had more stars and important storyline and was overall more fun to watch2003: Smackdown by a mile, this was in the middle of the peak of Paul Heyman's booking. Brought a lot of under the radar guys into relevance. RAW was going through a lot of former WCW guys trying to establish them as main events. Probably should have permanently elevated Booker T and Jericho.2004: RAW, I guess but both shows were pretty dire this year. Smackdown was worse off though after Eddie couldn't handle being the guy and Angle was hurt. JBL did his best.2005: Pretty even but I'd give the edge to Smackdown. They finally started to elevate some new faces. It started the year off with Cena chasing the title and feuding with JBL and Taker vs Orton and then held strong with stories like Eddie and Rey's feud and Batista feuding with JBL. Booker T also had underrated feuds with Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit. Not to mention we had wrestlers like The Boogeyman, Heidenreich, Lashley, and MNM on the card
2006: RAW takes it. It was hard carried by Cena and Edge constantly having beef with eachother, plus RVD getting into the mix. The midcard scene got serious life with Umaga, Jeff Hardy, and Johnny Nitro coming into their own. Vince and the Spirit Squad feuding with Shawn Michaels was funny but I thought the DX revival was pretty lame though.2007: Smackdown was the better show. Edge, Taker, Batista, Mr. Kennedy, Khali winning the title for some reason and feuding with Taker. I remember Teddy Long having a wedding or something. I remember it being a really fun show at the time.2008: Not sure how much of this you count since they had begun to transition to a more PG product and Summerslam was the definitive end of the Ruthless Aggression era after Edge vs Taker HIAC. I guess I'd give it to RAW but the product overall had gotten pretty terrible at this point. There were some gems like Jericho's feud with Shawn Michaels and Edge vs Taker but I don't remember much of this year fondly so it's hard to choose.
>>21379269Pretty much spot on. If you included 2009 as well it was still smackdown by miles and miles with the Jeff/Edge and Jeff/Punk, Rey/Jericho and an awesome Rey Vs Morrison IC title match.
Wrestling has been unwatchable since late 2001.
