That's wild to me, Takayama vs. Kobashi in NOAH was one of the first puro matches I ever watched. For a mix of stuff, I'd suggest:

Takayama started in UWFi, and it shows in this one. The second match between these two, on Kawada's home turf this time, Takayama drags Kawada kicking and screaming (well, silently weeping, more like) into pure UWFi-striker hell. It's incredible. Not a great introduction to how Takayama would work for most of his career, but a great showcase of his early style and one of the most unique matches I have ever seen.

The match I just posted. At this point Takayama's gotten into his "pure" pro-wrestling groove and you can see the makings of him being one of the greatest big men ever. The first time he truly blossoms, in my opinion. One of my favorites.

Pet favorite of mine. Nakamura's wrestling only five days after a K-1 bout where he shoot broke his nose. Takayama doesn't exactly work around it. One of those "holy shit, that can't be safe" matches.

THE one to watch, in my opinion. Every match in this Kobashi reign is godtier, and this one is no exception. No notes.
>vs. SUWAMA (30.08.2009)
Pure hosskino. Great example of how Takayama worked when he had "settled" into his style. This reign has only fun matches in it, including a mask-era Muta match. The finish to this one is one of the most retarded sequences I have ever seen and it fucking rocks.
