He wrestled with Liger and Tanahashi at Dominion later that year.Rey was supposedly having talks with WWE about coming back around this time too. So my conspiracy theory is that he wasn't injured, they just asked him not to do those matches while they were negotiating and ended up screwing us out of a classic match.
