Hello, new QM here! Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong or have made a mistake! Choose Character >Character 1Born in Mistral to a small family running an eatery for the factory workers. The local gang known as The Crazy 88 demanded higher protection pay until your parents could no longer keep up with the demand. After their third failure, the Crazy 88 killed your parents and took over the building. You managed to escape, and as you sought for protection you met your mentor, Pai Mei, a brutal instructor who turned your body into a weapon, an instructor of the marital arts and brutal practicality. He taught you the way of the sword and the fist. Instead of being a huntsman, you took his teachings to fulfill your revenge. Not just The Crazy 88, but anyone involved with them down to the boss himself, a man only known as Bill. You met many people and learned many things on your path to revenge, and creating your own style of combat. You killed the leader of The Crazy 88, O-Ren Ishii, one of five targets on your hit list but you fell unconscious due to your wounds. When you woke up, you were chained on a hospital bed. You were charged with 57 counts of First Degree Murder and 31 Malicious Damage With A Deadly Weapon Without A License. You expected the death penalty, seeing how corrupted the court was. At least, that’s what you thought…You were given an offer by none other than Headmaster Lionheart, then smuggled into Vale. There, Headmaster Ozpin gave you an offer: Give up your revenge and become a huntsman and become a ward of Ozpin or face the law. You took the offer in a heartbeat, but whether you truly gave up your revenge or not, that remains undecided…Reference: Kill Bill, Bruce Lee, Ip Man, Martial Arts MoviesWeapon: Billy club with an internal wire, acts as a grappling hook and nunchucks and even a flail (See Daredevil for reference). Character 2According to your mentor, Max, you were a feral child in the Vacuo wastes known as The Wasteland (the wastes are not known for their brilliant naming sense). Your mentor met you when you were caught trying to steal your mentor’s can of Dinky-Di’s and sort of adopted you then and there. You’ve lived out on the frontier with your mentor, traveling across the world taking all manners of huntsman work, be it culling grimms or dispatching bandits, you shadowed your mentor, learning the trades of a huntsman and surviving the frontier. Then one day, your mentor disappeared. His note stated he needed to find The Plain of Silence, and he could only do it alone. For years, you searched for Max, but accepted the fact that he died in his mad quest. You returned to The Dunes and continued the nomadic-huntsman life, fighting bandits of the Immortan Joe and The Great Kar-Ghan that preyed upon the innocent villagers. For the longest time, you were the Road Warrior until the conflicts of The Dunes reached Vacuo which led to a beginning of a campaign of cleansing The Dunes of the warring factions. You were offered a position in Shade Academy, but you declined due to the very fact that the headmaster refused to let you fight in The Dunes as you were already doing due to you being ‘unlicensed’. Instead, you took the offer from Headmaster Ozpin of Beacon Academy for a change of scenery. Vale. You only knew Mistral all your life. Vale was… Plain. A fine kingdom, but plain. There wasn’t much to do in Vale, maybe people can enjoy the outdoors but most people couldn’t defend themselves from the grimms. So, here you were, going through the shortcuts in Lower Districts, officially known as Prosperity District. “Whddya lookin at?”The drunk man slurred at the wall. Another equally drunken men laid on the floor, or they were high, you couldn’t really tell or cared enough. You went through the alleyways and the streets to arrive at the heart of Vale’s night life. The neon lights illuminate the dark street, choking out the natural moonlight. Red, pink, orange, white, various colors bloomed and flashed. The safer route took too much time and you wanted a drink or two. Not like The Club owned by the Xiong Clan cared that much, especially when it came to you if they knew what was good for them.“What?”“Hey!” You walked beside the waiting patrons trapped by the velvet rope. The bouncers stood at the front of the door with his arms crossed. “You don’t get to cut.”“I want to cut back and relax, I’d rather not do that literally. Open the door.”The younger bouncer scowled. “Get lost before I—”The older bouncer placed his hand on the younger man’s shoulder, laughing jovially.“Sorry about that, he’s new. The Xiong Clan welcomes you back, please come in.” You’ve [Been Around] enough to know the Xiong Clan, they were known for their hospitality, information, and neutrality. Your path to revenge wasn’t done alone, you had to work for other criminal organizations and make connections. Bill was one of the largest players in Mistral’s underground, and there were plenty of scums willing to help to see him fall. “Thanks.” The large bouncer scowled, but opened the door for you. The club’s music pulsed, sweat and booze filled the air. You made your way to the bar and sat down. Junior was with another blondie like you, except she was holding out her scroll of him and Roman… She was black mailing. From the looks of her, she was playing with fire. >You went up to where the blondie was. "Junior, is she bothering you?">You went up to where the blondie was. A tense air passed between Yang and Junior. The twins she saw earlier waited to her left while the gangsters slowly approached her from all directions. Yang watched a fellow blonde walk over with a friendly smile. Yang knew she was a badass, they were wary of her badassery, hence their hostility. "Easy there, gorgeous…” With that blonde, fear replaced hostility. The twin’s confident stance shrunk to a defensive one. The gangsters stopped their track, even Junior turned his attention fully to the blonde, as if she wasn’t blackmailing him with a picture of him and Roman Torchwick. He sat next to Yang, still grinning. “How about you let me get you a drink and we smooth this out before things get messy?"“I’ll take a strawberry sunrise then.” Yang said, still eyeing the new player. “Mr.Xiong, if you wouldn’t mind?”Junior nodded and went behind the counter. “Smooth as a baby’s bottom, good.” Thankfully, all the civilians were outside, waiting. They just might have to wait a little longer. Yang eyed her new threat, heart pounding but grinning confidently. Just what kind of person makes hardened criminals and thugs think twice? “I’m not sure what the problem is here, but let’s not cause a nice night for the lovely people working here.” He winked at the twins “Besides, Junior responds better to honey than vinegar, and whatever it is you need, you’re probably not gonna find anyone better for it. “I’ll take a Vacuan Desert Rose Tequila.” You gave a thankful nod to Junior.“I’m curious, how do you know so much about all this?” The blondie said. You took a hard swig and let the burn hit you. Damn does Vacuo make good booze.“Let’s just say I was chasing some ghosts of my own back when I first darkened the club’s doorstep and we’re all a little wiser now. Ain’t that right friends?” The twins gave a small flinch, not too noticeable but enough for you to see. “Been something of a regular here since then. After all, the drinks are good, the girls are cute, and Junior’s connections are handy."Junior remained the same, he may be the Patriarch, but the Xiong Clan was under a subsidiary family of the ruling factions in Mistral. A new clan was vulnerable, that was why Junior set his roots here. You’ve been to Vale a couple of times but your path was always at Mistral. “So, what is it you’re looking for?” The blondie fished out a photo of a woman who looked similar to her except for her black hair and red eyes. “I’m looking for this woman, Raven Branwen.” “Junior?”He shrugged. “I know who she is, but their tribes move around frequently.”“Where is she?” The blondie asked. “I don’t keep tabs on bandits.” Junior said. “Even if I can, you’re not welcomed here.” “Aww, can’t we just kiss and make up?” The girl’s pretty lilac eyes switched to red in a single blink as her hands balled up into a fist. Despite her easy attitude, she’s pissed. Whoeever this Raven woman was… She wanted to find her bad. “No deal, blondie. Get out before I call the cops.” Junior said. The girl looked toward you, then to the gangs surrounding her. >"Junior, how about I do some security work tonight in exchange for helping her?" >"Maybe you and Mr.Xiong can negotiate a deal?">You prepared to draw your katana. "Well, that's a shame. Sorry to hear that."

"Junior, how about I do some security work tonight in exchange for helping her? No strings attached.”He narrowed his eyes inquisitively. “And what made you a charitable person all of a sudden?” Junior said. You shrugged. “Let’s say this is my one good deed a day.” “One night of free work won’t make up for a full package.”“The Xiong Clan owes me more than your account book can tally.” You tapped your finger on the counter impatiently. “Don’t forget what I did for your clan, Xiong Dai Lo.” Junior scoffed, he set his cloth and the glass he was wiping. “Wait, no.” The blondie said. “It’s alright, if you won’t do it then I’ll find someone else.”“You sure?”The blondie nodded. “This can be held off later, but thank you, I never got your name.”“People call me...">Kid>With the situation diffused, you returned to Beacon and headed to your room, an empty dorm in the old building. In one room, two beds were set on each end and outside the bedroom was a living area with lockers for clothes. The restroom inside the dorm was spacious enough with a bathtub and a shower head. A far better home than you lived before. “Man…”You leaned back on your chair and rested your feet on the table at the living area. You eyed the wooden board with a crudely made red target. The kunai weighed nicely in your hands, and with a flick of your wrist you hit the bullseye of the target. Tomorrow would be the orientation and your first day as a Beacon student. >You’ll just sleep here and go to the initiation area >Maybe you’ll do some people watching, not like you got anything better to do>You could ask Ozpin if he needs help with anything, he did save your life after all

Maybe you’ll do some people watching, not like you got anything better to do. And boy, what a choice you made. Here you were, sitting on a bench at the academy’s central square. First, you learned a new student was let in two years early, that said student then accidentally bumped into no one other than Weiss Schnee. You took a large chunk of your apple, wondering what will happen. “Are you listening to me?”“Achoo!” An all element explosion rippled, leaving both little red and snow white covered in soot. You held your laughter but boy was her freakout hilarious. “Unbelievable! This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about!”Still, it was her fault for shaking the unstable dust…“I’m really really sorry!” “Ugh, you complete dolt! What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little young to be attending Beacon? This isn't your ordinary combat school. It's not just sparring and practice, you know! We're here to fight monsters, so... watch where you're going!”“Hey I said I was sorry, princess!” “It’s heiress, actually…” A meek voice interrupted them, a black haired, cat faunus girl in a black and white hanbok said. “But you shouldn’t have shaken that dust…” “And just who are you…” Schnee stopped. “Hold on you look… Familiar.” >You stepped between the two students. “She’s Blake Belladonna, the next sovereigness of Ulimaroa.”>Chose to not intervene

Of course she does. Hard not to notice a Belladonna. You sat back, checked your watch, and watched the rest of the drama unfold. Schnee’s face first scrunched, trying to discern the girl that dared to interrupt her bitchy outburst. Then, an elated surprise that shapeshifted to a plastic smile. “Ah, Soverigness Belladonna.” Schnee dusted herself from the soot on her shoulders. “How pleasant to see you again.”“The p—pleasntary is all mine…” The hooded girl hid behind Belladonna. Schnee’s glare narrowed. “If you’ll excuse me.” The Schnee left, leaving little red and Belladonna to be acquainted. You checked your watch, it’s about time you go to the amphitheater too. You hid among the students and listened to his speech. At the locker…>You walked past a guy “Ridiculous! There's no way I put my gear in locker 636 yesterday! I would've remembered having to count that high! Why does this have to happen today?”>You headed to your locker and retrieved the rest of your equipment Your custom made belt was metal, with an extended arm that held your gun-scabbard that can be positioned anywhere on the belt. “So, Pyrrha, have you given any thought to whose team you'd like to be on? I'm sure everyone must be eager to unite with such a strong, well-known individual such as yourself!”“Hmm... I'm not quite sure. I was planning on letting the chips fall where they may.”Your secondary weapon was a billy club with an internal wire that you could make anything out of, from grappling hooks, a flail, even to nunchucks, the possibilities were endless. You spun your club in its nunchucks form, picking up the wind so fast your hair danced and the air sang.“Well... I was thinking maybe we could… Hey watch where you’re spinning that thing! We can’t hear ourselves talk. This isn’t the training room!” You whipped your nunchuck in your armpits, you lazily turned your head around. It was the Schnee girl and the famous pit fighter, Pyrrha Nikos. Schnee had a point, but man was she annoying about it…>“The lockerroom isn’t a place to socialize, princess.” >“There’s other places to talk.”>“Fair enough.”

“Fair enough.” You swung you nunchucks then clasped them back into the billy club mode then stuffed them into your sheath. The girl behind the Schnee, she glared at you as if you hid a body somewhere. Wrong, a look of accusation but not quite complete. Well… She is technically from Mistral after all. You grinned at the pit fighter. “I recognize you…” Nikos said. “Can’t say I recognize you.” You said with a shrug. "Scuse me." You quickly walked past them and headed to the initiation area. Your heavy boots echoed against the pristine floor. You clenched your fist, letting the bones crack euphorically. You breathed in the fresh forest air, wondering who would be your new partner and teammate. You’d certainly want someone strong, like that guy in brown armor with a mace, but someone fast like the mohawk man. Most importantly, someone smart. The students turned to see others to their left and right at the pads. “For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.”“Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of "teams." Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today.” Goodwitch said. The students gathered and stood on the strange pad where it faced the forest.“These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well. That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years.”The red hooded girl gasped. “What!”“See? I told you-!”“After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path... or you will die. You will be monitored and graded through the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?”“Exactly how are we landing? Are we getting parachutes?” You laughed. What a jokester. “No? Good, take your positions.” After seeing the first student launched, you prepared as well. You met Ozpin’s calm gaze, he silently raised his mug. Then, you were off into the air. The cool air whipped your face as you fell. You focused your aura and shot forth, interrupting your fall, you repeated the process and landed.“Alright, let’s see where the winds take me.” You strolled through the forest, until you heard…

A voice called out, desperate and hasty. You stopped and waited, hoping that the voice won’t be near you, but you knew the forest had surveilance and if you tried to avoid her you’d be in trouble. The steps were light, quick, hopeful. The rustling came closer and closer, as did the girl’s desperate call for her sister… Yang. Damn it.“Yang? Yang where are you!” You sighed. This was going to be a painful four year.“Yang?”A head popped out, her silver eyes met yours, curiosity turning into dread. She trudged out of the bushes, not in fear but sheepishness. She held her hands behind her as if she had something to hide. “H—Hello…”“Hey there, guess we’re stuck together.” You gave an easy going smile. “You were looking for your sister, Yang?”She nodded. “I was…”“She can still be part of your team.” Ruby’s energy brightened with a sure nod. “Right! Maybe we can still have her as a teammate! Come on!” For someone with short legs, she moved quicker than you thought. You twisted the billy clubs to a nunchuck form. Beowulves were easy to dispatch, the boartusks might be trickier but a grimm in the end. Red eyes glowed like hidden blades glinting in the shadows, you cracked your neck left and right, and lunged. The first beowulf jumped, you sidestepped with ease and whacked the jaw off, sending it flying free like a uncaged bird. You began to slowly bounce on your feet and waited.“Woah! A nunchuck!” “Focus!” You sharply chided her. “Sorry!”The dance of death began. You kept the momentum of your nunchuck and swung at the precise moments, mashing and pulverizing the grimm cranium. This was so… Boring. Compared to your life in the Mistral underworld, few grimms didn’t really made for an exciting moment. The fight was short and uneventful.“I got this one!”Ruby sped past in a red blur, slicing the last boartusk in mid roll, completely negating your setup. “Whoo!”You let out a reluctant huff, you were having fun after all, if you really wanted to end the fight you would’ve drew Choose name>Black Mamba>Raiden>Imugi>Write-inRuby and you walked through the forest longer than you’d like. “Pull security here, I need to see if we’re getting anywhere near.”You climbed on top of a tall tree, hopping branch to branch.
