With the Tournament of Power brought to a close, the Seventh Universe has emerged triumphant once more. Led by the Saiyan warriors, the Seventh's victory was secured. And with the wish on the Super Dragon Balls used to restore the other universes that were eliminated and erased, the final hidden trial was passed, and all eight of the universes up for elimination were allowed to remain. Yet, even with this victory, peace doesn't last in the Seventh Universe for long. As old hatreds rise and long-buried grudges resurface, will you have what it takes to keep everything you've worked the last 28 years of your life to build? Or will those who seek your end ultimately triumph? That all depends on you, and your choices.

You the players will (most often) control Karn. A Saiyan man who has grown from his lowly beginnings as a mid-tier Saiyan Brawler with a sub-3000 powerlevel in Age 733 to become not only the strongest Saiyan of his time at AGE 759, but also personal friend to the former emperor Lord Freeza, father to over a dozen powerful and unique children, a mentor and teacher to his fellow Saiyans, and the indisputable winner of the Tournament of Power. Wielder of the Berserker Soul, and the powerful Stand Divine Dragon Force, you're fully equipped to handle any threat that comes your way. But what will you do when the threats aren't always physical, when you can't simply punch all your problems away?

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After Karn defeats Hirudegarn and exposes Majin Ozotto's newest plot, he then learned the next morning of the time traveler Cumber's continuing incursions into his timeline, battling the Saiyans of the Sixth Universe this time thanks to Whis. Then joining Mechikabura in the Time Nest to help track down your stolen Time Scroll, discover it had been stolen by none other than Dumplin's daughter Puddin. After confronting her and showing her where her father was hiding in your timeline and reuniting them, then returning to the Time Nest, Karn joined Ace and Future Chaya for a battle in another timeline. Only, at the battle's conclusion, to be attacked by a nameless horror from beyond. And as we rejoin Karn, you've been grabbed by the monster's tentacles and drawn into its gaping maw. And find yourself... Somewhere.

“What the...?” you say as its teeth close behind you, and you're suddenly all alone. Adrift in what seems to be an infinite nothingness, nothing you can sense, or see, or hear in any direction as you turn around. Trying to get a sense of direction, only to disorient yourself and immediately lose the direction you'd come from. Your equilibrium completely shot, as if in the void of space, but even there you have the faint pull of distant planets and the heat and light from stars to guide you. Here, in this place, there's simply... Nothing. “Dammit.”

Immediately, you try and focus on your link to Meloka through your wedding rings, try and reach out to her telepathically. But there's nothing. You can't sense her energy, can't feel her presence, nothing. You then try telepathically calling out to everyone you know, trying to reach anyone, but once more only the infinite, oppressive silence greets your calls.

Well? What now?
>Pick a direction and just start flying until you see something
>Focus, try and find something, anything different in this void of nothing, something to give any sense of direction to figure out where to go
>Tap into your Supreme Instinct, try and power your way back to reality

“Dammit! Gotta find a way back out of this thing.” you think to yourself, only to freeze as you remember. Back to the Time Chamber, how you'd torn through reality to see beyond. Maybe, if you do it again, but backwards, perhaps you can tear your way back from nothing back to reality itself? “It's worth a shot.”

Closing your eyes you focus, drawing out one hundred percent of the Berserker Soul's power. Letting the emerald aura blaze like a bonfire in the void, your power shaking the nothing around you. But as you power up you turn your focus inward, towards your power itself. Digging deep, down past the fiery rage and explosive anger, deeper and deeper. Down to the icy core of your Berserker Soul, to the cold rage simmering beneath. And as you exhale, you can feel it. Feel your body change, transform, ascend. Transcending your limits and attaining that higher level once more. Opening your eyes, you turn your focus on escaping, on shattering this nothing to return back to what is. And so you throw your arms wide, gathering your ki into both hands.

“HAAAAAAAA! HRRRRAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, golden energy blazing in both of your palms. The energy growing by the second, before swinging both arms forward. The energies mixing and merging, the power multiplying as your strength surges. Envisioning what happened before, how you were trying to hit nothing. Now, your mind is focused on breaking through this nothing, back to what is as lightning flashes from your energy, arcing through the void. “FINAL FLAAAASH!!”

And with a roar you unleash your power, the titanic, world-obliterating energy beam exploding from your hands. Cutting through the void, the light blindingly bright as you fire at the void itself. Your massive beam blasts through the nothingness until it hits something, and you see the void itself start to crack. The fabric of this non-place starts to give, the cracks spreading outward. Yet as you keep up the pressure, suddenly, you feel it. Feel the moment the void around you shatters, and instead of nothing, there's something.

The moment the non-reality shatters, you feel it. A presence greater than everything you've felt in your entire life combined, a presence so beyond scale even the massive Dumplin you'd fought after what he did to your family feels like nothing. But what's even worse, is the HUNGER. The raw desire and NEED to consume everything radiating from the presence, from the form your eyes and mind cannot make sense of. And that impossible presence's attention is focused ENTIRELY on you.

It feels like you're dying. Like you're dying EVERY death. Being crushed by infinite gravity, while simultaneously having your insides pulled outside through every pore of your body and turned inside-out. All while your head feels as if it's being crushed from all sides, but also trying to explode outwards all while becoming liquid. The onslaught of sensations is oppressive, overwhelming, beyond what you can handle. For a moment, you somehow manage to wonder how Mechikabura could stand face-to-face with this being through the existential agony of begin before it, but then you feel the being's attention split. Suddenly, it's not only focused on you. But on another presence you can feel, turning your head and noticing none other than Ace has somehow found his way to this space too. Somehow that Time Patroller managed to follow you, to track you down.

However, as your mind is processing this, your body is trying to defend itself. Clenching your fists, blazing your Supreme Instinct aura up around yourself, drowning your body in your own energy does seem to lessen the overwhelming effect of being in that monster's presence. Yet you feel Ace's power plummeting immediately, no doubt unable to withstand even half of the directed attention of this being. However, that's when you feel Ace CHANGE.

“What the-?” you exclaim, feeling his own power shift and change. The godly might of Ultra Instinct fades, but instead a strange power begins to swell inside Ace's body. A power that feels eerily similar to The End, or at least you presume this is The End's might. His body seems to shift and distort as you watch, his race, his skin tone, hair, even gender seem to shift and morph, his solid reality becoming more unstable under the entity's presence. Ace changing, becoming more powerful, more like the inexplicable reality before you. Taking the entity's focus from you to him, giving you a moment. Which leaves only one question:

What do you do?
>Rely on your instincts, let your body fight or not as it will
>Gather your energy and try to attack the entity, try and hit it with your strongest piercing beams, the Dawn Breaker
>Summon Divine Dragon Force, see if your Stand knows this thing or can do anything about it
>Event Horizon, gather your power and drop one massive blast on it. Then launch a second, see how this monster like being sucked down into a black hole

“Alright, you big bastard! Let's see how you handle this!” you exclaim, throwing your arms out to your sides once more. Drawing forth even more power as Ace screams in pain, his voice pitching up and down, distorting impossibly as his body is mangled by the entity. However, as you watch, you realize something. Whatever this THING is doing to Ace, it can't UNDO him. It isn't simply devouring him, or destroying him. Whatever it's doing, he's tanking it. You just have to hope he can hold out long enough. “Come on, don't give out on us yet. Chaya's expecting you back.”

Drawing your arms together in front of you, you press the two massive orbs of energy together. Combining them, merging and condensing them together into a single pinpoint of light before you raise your arms overhead. The combined energy instantly expanding, swelling into the most massive, powerful blast you've ever made.

“Event Horizon!” you roar, launching the large moon-sized orb. The massive attack streaking through the air, but the being still shifting Ace's physical being, as if squishing and molding his essence like putty. Your massive orb flies towards the being, but no sooner have you launched it than you throw your arms wide, charging up to create the second one. However, as you fully charge up and have prepared your first attack, you realize you'd misunderstood the distance between you, Ace, and that thing. Your moon-sized blast flies forward, and forward, and forward, seemingly shrinking smaller and smaller. And as you ready the second attack, the moon-sized orb looks no larger than your own palm. “Take THIS!”

With a snarling roar you launch the second orb, sending it screaming even faster through the void towards your first attack. The first shrinking down to your eyes to nearly an inch in diameter before the second strikes it, the two attacks merging, mixing, and collapsing down in on themselves. Combining into a black hole, a void of darkness and gravity even darker black than this realm of nothing. Drawing the mass of the being down into it, that attack finally drawing the attention of this presence. The being turns its focus from Ace, who slowly reverts back to his usual form as it reaches out with a conceptual hand, grabbing the black hole itself. Drawing it up towards one of the being's many eyes, seemingly studying it before crushing it in its hand. Or, more accurately, it devours it. Eating the black hole through its hand, absorbing it into itself. And turning its full focus and attention back onto you.

The single though booms in your mind, the sheer force of the thought nearly detonating your head from within. Yet, you also realize it isn't addressing YOU. Not directly, as your Stand suddenly appears around your arm, snarling with a fury and aggression you've never seen from your Stand before. You can feel your Stand's anger, its fury as it confronts this being. However, as your Stand appears, it seems... Different. In this void of nothing, where only it, you, Ace, and this entity exist, your Stand is difficult to perceive. One moment it looks like your Stand always does wrapped around your arm with its crimson scaled body, the next it's an incomprehensibly-massive golden dragon, or back to being its brawlic, wide-shouldered and green self back before it was Divine Dragon Force, or just the large, flaming eye of Lyin' Eyes Requiem whose powers your Stand took. And other times you can't comprehend your Stand, as it and this formless, shapeless entity face one another down.

“GYAAAAAH!” you cry out, the sheer PRESSURE these two beings are exerting towards one another excruciating. And even with your training with Milha, your pain tolerance through the roof, you can barely hold on without passing out.
“FINAL! KAMEHAMEHAAA!!!” Ace roars, as he ascends back up into his divine form, firing his powerful blue and gold beam back at the being. But it would seem he didn't realize how far away this entity is, as his beam seemingly disappears into nothing. You losing sight of it completely, even its glow fading into nothing. You aren't sure if his attack even reaches it or not before he powers back down out of his divine state, teleporting right to behind you with his Instant Transmission. “What do we do?”

Well? What do you do? What CAN you do?

“Ace! Wh-What the hell?” you manage to ask him as Divine Dragon Force and this entity stare one another down. Their rage at one another causing the entire nothingness around you all to tremble and shudder. “How are you okay?”
“What do you mean?” he asks, you feeling his gaze on your back. “How are YOU okay?”

“Me?” you reply, then an idea forms. Maybe you and him aren't seeing the same things in this place, that this entity's affecting you both differently. “What did you see?”
“See? I felt that thing ripping my soul out of my body. Then it stopped, and turned to crush a black hole. One you made?” he asks, you nodding. “Why? What happened?”

You try and explain what you saw as that thing had it's attention on Ace, glancing over your shoulder back at him. And as you do, you notice his form's no longer entirely solid. His appearance is shifting, changing. Subtly at first, the shape of his hair and face, then the colors of his eyes and hair start changing too.

“And non only that. But, why are you and that... THING similar?” you ask, feeling the sudden intensity of his gaze on you as Divine Dragon Force roars in challenge. “Once you dropped out of your godly forms, your power and it's feel eerily similar.”
“Similar?” he asks, going quiet. You can feel that strange, otherworldly power rising within him once more, but turn back as Divine Dragon Force roars in what sounds like pain, and you clench your jaw shut over the white-hot spike of pure agony lancing through your brain and spine. Divine Dragon Force's power flickering a moment, the fiery light of Lyin' Eyes Requiem in its eyes is burned away, replaced by the powerful emerald inferno of your Berserker Soul as your Stand continues its battle on a plane you can't comprehend with that being. And, the fact you're still standing, still alive, means Divine Dragon Force isn't quite as outmatched by this thing as you are and Ace seemed to be. But you get the feeling your Stand can't keep this up forever. You have to do something.

But what?

You ponder that question for a few moments, then an idea comes to mind. You use the telepathic connection to your Stand to quickly lay out your plan, share your idea. And you can tell immediately that DDF isn't a fan.

“Are you SURE about this?” it asks, even its thoughts to you slow, strained, sluggish as it competes against this entity. “He might lose control.”
“It's our best shot. We can't keep this up forever.” you reply, and feel the sting of hurt pride through your link to your Stand. But it also knows you're right, that it can't keep fighting this thing like this for much longer. You have to do something, and Ace's strange power might be your best bet.

Its eyes losing the emerald glow of the Berserker Soul, Lyin' Eyes Requiem's flaming glow returning to its glare as it focuses on Ace. The fires blaze as your Stand speaks a single order to the Time Patroller.
AWAKEN.” your Stand orders, and for a moment, everything freezes. The entity, Divine Dragon Force, you, even Ace himself freezes in place. Only for the Time Patroller to then grab his head, screaming in agony as his form starts to shift and blur once more. Shifting between races, genders, every part of him together at first, then as you watch each individual part of him starts changing independently of one another as well. Transforming into an amalgamation of beings, both those you recognize and others you don't.

However, that's not all. As he screams in agony, body starting to seemingly tear itself apart, you feel his particular energy begin to resonate. Reverberating its frequency from WITHIN the entity as well. At first just one, but as Ace screams, his body ripped apart by the horrific transformation, you can feel similar surges light up inside the being. One at a time, at first, then two, then three. Quickly becoming dozens, then HUNDREDS of resonating, identical energies to Ace from within the being. That energy begins to flow out from that being and into Ace, his power skyrocketing as his image begins to solidify and stabilize once more. Except, this time, his hair is as white as snow, his iris and pupils vanishing in the white glow from his eyes. And with a final roar Divine Dragon Force recoils from the entity as your body is engulfed in pain, everything going dark as your vision's reduced to a small tunnel through the agony. And Ace lets loose a roar of challenge, a primal bellow reverberating from a thousand voices simultaneously. Big and small, high and low, men and women, all simultaneously as Ace challenges that entity now.

“I am sorry. Still not strong enough.” your Stand tells you quietly as it seemingly shrinks around your arm, growing small, almost fragile against your still-transformed state.

But what now?
>Try and focus on Ace verses this entity, who you now believe truly is The End
>Ask Divine Dragon Force what it did to Ace, what he's become so you can try and understand what's happening
>Try and refocus, to let Ace distract it while you gather your energy for one final attack. To try and break through THIS nothing void, and smash your way back into reality. Give you both a way back

“Rest now, I'll get us home.” you tell your Stand, who nods as its eyes close fading away as you focus. The damage this thing did to you, what it did to you and Divine Dragon Force has torn your body up. So much so that only now do you realize, as you turn your head and see your bang move, that it knocked you out of your Supreme Instinct. That your body's in rough shape, limbs feeling heavy. If you don't get out of here, and soon, you've got a feeling that your body isn't going to hold out. And that thing will get to have it's way with you. “No. Not here. Not like this. I'm getting home, no matter what it takes.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6uJXQzapbs

Clenching your fists, drawing upon the frigid, icy fury deep, you quickly tap into your Supreme Instinct power once more as Ace roars. From the corner of your eye you see he's changed, his body now massive. Towering over you, trying to rise in scale to the same degree as that being only to realize that's entirely his energy, his actual body isn't changing sizes. But you can feel that entity is moving closer, coming towards Ace as he is now. Whatever his is, you can feel this form drawing power FROM The End, something it can doubtlessly sense as well and is seeking to end. You don't have much time, if you don't get a way out before it actually reaches you both, it's over!

“HRRRAAAAAA!!” you roar, throwing your arms wide as you turn your back on the being. Tuning it out of your focus, centering yourself and reducing your awareness only to your own body and energy as you gather it in your outstretched hands. But you don't just prepare a simple Final Flash again. Your body, moving on its own instincts, gathers five separate orbs of energy around each hand, spinning them all faster and faster, drawing them all in together. Merging the energies together in a spiraling mass of energy in each hand, each orb larger than you as you keep feeding them more and more power. Vision swimming, darkening, you keep your focus, your body preparing your Dawn Breaker attack. Clearly knowing it needs to punch through this void of nothing to return to reality as you know it, and preparing your strongest attack. “Not yet! Just-! Just a little more-!”

KAAAAA! MEEEE! HAAAAA! MEEEEE!” Ace shouts, his voice echoing with all the different voices he's now become. Energy surging as you glance back, eyes going wide as you see his giant construct form gathering energy into both its hands drawn back to its right side. Drawing the energy of the construct itself into the attack, its feet and the top of its hair already slowly fading, that power drawn into the mass of power he's preparing. Then, thrusting both colossal hands out, Ace's construct fires. “HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

Ace's giant construct with it's hands thrust forward towards the approaching entity fires its energy. And as you watch, the blindingly bright azure beam expands as it flies away from you and Ace, not shrinking, growing in scale to match the being. Ace's attack slamming into that barely-perceptible horror, and actually stopping it in its tracks! Holding it back momentarily, but he clearly can't keep this up long. Burning through the energy of his massive construct, its feet and legs below its knees already gone.

“Do it Karn!” he cries from all his voices simultaneously, the real Ace inside his construct looking to you. “Do it now!”
“DAWN! BREAKER!!” you roar, turning your head and looking at the void, imagining your twinned drilling beams punching through this void and back into reality as you throw your arms forward. Unleashing your twin, spiraling beams into the empty void. Watching it travel through the emptiness, feeling Ace's newfound strength plummeting by the second as he pours everything into keeping The End at bay. But then you feel it, feel your attack slam into the edge of nothingness. But your attack doesn't find purchase, can't break through! So you give it everything you've got left, emptying your reserves of energy and betting it all on this attack. “HRRRAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

Putting everything you've got into the attack, feeling the infinitely-small points of your attack drilling against the void, you feel it! Feel the moment they start to gain purchase, start to dig in! So you don't stop, not letting up as you give everything you've got to making this work.

“GRRRAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, leaning into the attack, pushing with every ounce of strength you've got. Then, as you push, you feel it. Hear it, even smell it.

CRACK

The infinite void of nothing cracks at the points of your attack, the edge of non-existence cracking under your attack. You're doing it! Just a little more!

HAAAAAAAAAA!!” Ace roars, his energy falling critically low as well, having used up almost everything this newfound power has to keep The End from stopping you from making a way out.
“HRRRRYAAAAAAA!!” you scream, giving the last of your strength. Feeling your Supreme Instinct power fading once more, putting the last of it into this blast. And, with a final, deafening shattering, you've done it! Your attack punches through!

And that's it for tonight, everyone enjoying this wild ride beyond existence so far? What do you think about being outside reality, and how Ace's power seemingly relates to The End? Are you figuring it out, what he really is? And what do you think is waiting for you on the other side of nothingness? Or will you make it through the hole your attack punched, or will The End reach you first? All this and more when Saiyan Conqueror Quest resumes in 12 hours, at noon EST!

I didn't expect Ace to hit the Avatar State propped up by Ultra Instinct, but maybe I should have given the theory I posited last thread. Either way, this little excursion has given us a lot to think about. No answers mind you, but definitely a lot of good questions.
As for what's on the other side of the void...I expect one Goku or Goku adjacent person at the very least.
>>
>>6403691
>Goku adjacent person
EVERY Dragonball character is no more than 2 relations away from Goku. Towa? Mira has Goku's dna. Cell? Goku's dna. King Vegeta? Goku is Vegeta's rival, Vegeta's dad is King. Hercule? They're in-laws. Jiren? Fought Goku. Everyone's 1-2 character relations from Goku at the furthest, aside from nameless npcs.

I honestly don’t understand what Divine Dragon Force really is. It seems to be a more than just a Stand.
>>6403627
>“I am sorry. Still not strong enough.” your Stand tells
Come on. Divine Dragon Force just made nothing short of a miracle with this awakening of Ace’s power. Dragon is a little too critical of himself.
>>6403672
>And that's it for tonight, everyone enjoying this wild ride beyond existence so far?
Yes, very much. It’s crazy.
>What do you think about being outside reality,
It’s so scary.
>and how Ace's power seemingly relates to The End?
I can’t understand it. Is he an echo of many people that were devoured by Hadar? Their energy reacting to him and powering him up even though they were already consumed. I don’t understand, but I look forward to find out what it means.
>Are you figuring it out, what he really is?
No. I don’t understand it.
>And what do you think is waiting for you on the other side of nothingness?
What do you mean “on the other side of nothingness”? I don’t know what that is. If you are talking about the location in reality that Karn and Ace will arrive in, once they enter through the hole that Karn’s attack have made, then here are the options:
Optimistic version:
>”Mechikabura, Aeos, Chronoa, Chaya and even Trunks were first to detect it. They now rush to the location in reality that Karn and Ace have just entered from the void of nothingness.”
Less optimistic version, but probable nonetheless:
>’Time traveling villains that were looking for on an opportunity to capture Karn, have just found the perfect chance. Karn and Ace are both too exhausted to defend or even call for help. They want to snatch them before Time Patrol finds them. I don’t want to know what are villains’ intentions, but there are chances that Karn and Ace will find out.”
>Or will you make it through the hole your attack punched,
Hopefully they will reach it and enter it. The devourer is too strong to fight it any longer now.
>or will The End reach you first?
Hopefully not. If Hadar captures them this might be the moment for the vote:
>“Karn is gone, so is Ace. Their sprits don’t even show up in afterlife. Which character will you control now?“
I want them to enter reality before it’s too late.
>All this and more when Saiyan Conqueror Quest resumes in 12 hours, at noon EST!
You ended on such a big cliff hanger. Very nice.
>>
>>6403806
>What do you think about being outside reality,
I think I misunderstood the question. When I said "It’s so scary", I was talking about meeting The End.

The place itself seems strange, but you cannot look around much when Hadar chases Karn and Ace.
>>
>>6403708
Fair enough.
>>6403806
No, it's a Stand. But one that has seen The End before.
It has inherited both Karn's drives to win. It doesn't like to lose.
Ace is something more... Unique, I'll say that much.
Will you break back through into the reality you know? Or perhaps somewhere... else?
Hopefully your allies, watching the Time Scrolls, notice where and when you're going to be coming through and have prepared.
IF Hadar catches you, it might be game over for Karn.
And glad you enjoyed.
>>6403834
Fair. It is hard to admire the nonexistent scenery when an existential ending is heading towards you. However, if you'd have had time to understand this place better, you'd realize distance and time aren't real here.

I'm still a little confused as to why they decided to go back and redo BoG again, with Yamamuro seemingly doing character designs and directing again from the looks of it.
I can only imagine what the pitch for this was like.
>>
>>6403852
Probably to redo the finer details like the lore and powerscaling. But I think that without significant reworking, redoing RoF is a waste of time since it blew the load too early with super saiyan blue and fucked over the entire series's progression from there, wtf were they thinking doing that
>>
>>6403857
>Probably to redo the finer details like the lore and powerscaling
I guess, but at the same time I never really got the sense anybody at Toei really cared about those sorts of things.
>But I think that without significant reworking, redoing RoF is a waste of time since...
Agreed. It'd probably be better to have a flash of Blue right near the end (if at all) and maybe cutting out the part where Vegeta gets Earth blown up.
>>
>>6403859
>I never really got the sense anybody at Toei really cared about those sorts of things.
Which is why its so shocking to me. Maybe they were tempted by the potential reprint money? Even though BoG is a perfectly good movie, it was just the anime adaptation that jinxes it.
>It'd probably be better to have a flash of Blue right near the end (if at all) and maybe cutting out the part where Vegeta gets Earth blown up.
I'm bolder and think SSB should be saved until 6v7 and have that win against Hit instead of SSBxKaioken. Definitely agree with cutting out the Earth getting blown up though, please give Vegeta his W

You've done it, your attack has broken through the infinite nothingness! Ending your attack, your body reverting back into your Berserker God form, you immediately start dashing towards the exit.

“Ace, move!” you shout back to him, feeling that surging power of his attack end, his ki rapidly racing towards your own as you approach the shattered hole in this non-reality. However, as you're dashing towards it, to your horror, as you get closer it gets smaller! As if repairing itself, to keep reality separate from what ISN'T. “Dammit!”
“We're not going to make it.” he says, his voice mostly back to normal, the other voices only a faint echo now. And behind you both, The End draws ever-closer. Forget making it to the hole before it closes itself, The End might reach you both before either of you get anywhere close! It's hopeless, you're not getting out. “Not both of us.”

And before you can react, Ace reaches out, grabbing your left arm in both hands.

“Ace-?” is all you have time to ask before he starts spinning, his pale aura blazing up around him as he puts his power into one last throw, spinning and launching you towards the tear.
“Tell Chaya I'm sorry I couldn't make it back.” he calls after you, your body sailing towards the crack in nothingness. Only for you to suddenly sense it, sense THEM! And as you rocket towards the tear, suddenly you see them. Or, him.
“YOSHA!!” the Primal Saiyan shouts, aura blazing as he dashes through the tear in reality. Potara gleaming in their ears as they dash straight to you, catching you and spinning a half-spin, launching you right towards the entrance even faster. “Alley-oop!”

Where Future Chaya is waiting as well as the unmistakable bald head of Jiren, your alternate timeline daughter in her Apex form as she and Jiren are physically holding the portal open, muscles straining as they fight to keep it open.

“DADDY!” she shouts, stepping on one edge of the portal, shifting her grip and holding out a hand towards you. Which you fly right towards, catching one another's forearms as she pulls you back into reality. Sights, sounds, smells, tastes and the feeling of reality brushing your skin all crash over you simultaneously as you're returning to being, crashing down to the ground on an unfamiliar world at the feet of none other than Mechikabura. Who is physically trembling, hands outstretched towards the tear as well. Dark aura blazing up as he no doubt also works to keep the tear open. A moment later Future Chaya catches Ace as well, pulling him in as the fused warrior Vegito dashes back in as well.

“CLEAR!” the fused fighter shouts, and as one Chaya and Jiren release the portal, stepping back as Mechikabura engulfs it in his dark energy. Mending the rift, as you'd seen Chronoa do before back in the Time Chamber. And as he does, as it's sealed, you feel Ace get cut off form that power he was wielding before. Returning back to himself, no longer radiating the same power as the eldritch entity. However, as you watch him, see Future Chaya holding him, his body keeps changing. Whatever The End did to him isn't stopping just because he's back in reality. Something Future Chaya notices as well, pulling back. But she doesn't let go of him, her eyes not fearful of him. But worried for him.

“Ace. Wh-What happened to you?” she asks him, holding his gaze even as his body continues to change, shifting between body types and races uncontrollably.
“What is this?” Mechikabura asks, looking at Ace with eyes full of concern. And an edge of something that could be fear, your blood running cold. Whatever it did to Ace, even Mechikabura doesn't know or understand. What the hell happened to him? “Are you okay? Does-? Does that... Hurt?”

But what do you do?

“Ace, do you want me to share what I saw? Or do you want to explain first?” you think out to Ace. But as you feel his mind connect to yours, feel your thoughts break through to him, suddenly your senses are overwhelmed. Flashes of visions, bits and pieces of different beings' lives all flashing behind your eyes simultaneously. The sheer deluge of information floods your mind, overwhelming your tired, brittle consciousness from encountering The End. Pushing your mind over the edge, something in your mind giving and knocking you out.

You aren't sure how long you're out, how long your mind is overwhelmed. But in your unconscious state, feel a familiar-feeling warmth flooding into your body. That energy slowly flooding your body, filling you, you feel yourself slowly waking up. And as your eyes open, the face you see isn't the one you're expecting. Surprising you as you see the face of a Kai.

“Aeos?” you ask, blinking in confusion as your eyes drift open. The tiny Kai sighing out, lowering her hands as the rainbow glow of energy from her hands fades away.
“Good, you're awake.” she says, shoulders slumping. “Are you feeling alright? I had to... Rewind you a bit.”
“Rewind me?” you ask, blinking in confusion before you start sitting up. “What do you mean?”

“Ace explained what happened to him, what he felt in that place beyond reality.” she says, giving you a look. “And what you, rather, You did to him.”

Then, she reaches down as she addresses not you, somehow grabbing your Stand around your arm, making it visible. Divine Dragon Force blinking in shock, stunned she was able to perceive him, much less touch him.

“Your power, while it did awaken Ace's own, also... Broke something, inside him.” she says, only to be interrupted by another voice. One you recognize all too well.
“Much like your daughter Chaya in your timeline is an embodiment of an aspect of reality, Ace is also not just a person.” Chronoa says, you turning your head to see her. And realize you're back in the Time Nest, with Future Chaya still holding the Time Patroller Ace. His body laying on the ground like yours were, his head in Future Chaya's lap as she brushes his forehead idly. Who, as you see, isn't changing shape anymore, his body returned to its 'normal'. “But unlike a power which is, that she embodies and becomes, Ace is something... Different.”

“What do you mean, different?” Future Chaya asks, her tone defensive, an angry edge to her tone.
“What I'm saying is Ace isn't an embodiment of something that IS.” she says, her tone different. “He is potential itself personified, possibility made flesh.”
“Potential?” Future Chaya asks, looking from her back to him. Ace's head laying in her lap. He's not looking at Chronoa, only up at Chaya. But you can tell the words land, as his hand freezes midway to your alternate timeline daughter's cheek. Raising his head, looking at Chronoa directly.

“How is that possible?” Trunks asks, the only Time Patroller in the room not an inherent god still standing.
“The wish. Off of our Shenron. Do you remember the words?” Chronoa asks him, turning her head towards Trunks. “The exact words, do you remember them?”
“I think so. I'd said, 'Give me a strong ally. Someone with the kind of power to helm me defend time itself. This wish I ask of you, Shenron.' Those were my exact words.” Trunks says, Chronoa nodding.

“Yes. Precisely. But you know Shenron cannot create a being stronger than himself.” she says, holding Trunks' gaze. “And none of the Time Scrolls showed a disturbance from Ace being summoned, which means he wasn't pulled out of any recorded history, past or present. Which means...?”

She asks, letting the question hang. But what do you do?
>Ask if that means Ace was drawn out FROM Hadar, if he was consumed before and was brought back into existence by the wish?
>Stay quiet, let them explain while you focus on listening in, quietly learning everything you can about what's going on
>Ask Ace if he knew about this, if he ever doubted his origins or how he came into being
>Turn to Mechikabura, ask if that means The End is following Ace, the former part of itself, back towards him. If that's how it's able to keep finding reality to try and devour it

“Wait wait wait. Hold on, does that mean that Ace was... Was drawn out from Hadar? Or what it became, The End?” you ask, feeling the sudden silence hang in the air. “Was he consumed before it became The End, along with his reality? And somehow survived INSIDE that being?”
“No, not exactly.” Chronoa responds, shaking her head. “No. Ace, a lot like The End now, isn't a being.”

She glances to him, clearing her throat before continuing, addressing him directly.

“Not in the traditional sense, anyways. You're more... A personification of a concept. Which is why The End couldn't simply devour you and be done with you. It couldn't understand you. It is used to devouring what IS. But you... You're not an IS, not a fact of reality. But what CAN BE.”
“Wait, I don't follow.” Future Chaya says, brows furrowed in confusion. “Ace is right here, I can touch him. He is Ace.”
“Yes, and also, no.” she says, then points at you. “A lot like you, actually.”

“Me?” you ask, confused. “What do you mean?”
“You're not a fixed point in history. Thanks to that Stand on your arm, your fate was broken. Now, you're full of potential. No longer bound to the destiny you were born with. Whereas Ace, he never HAD a destiny. Part of why you make such an effective Time Patroller every time, your potential is limitless and your body responds to what's possible for it to do. Why you're able to keep up with someone like Chaya, without putting in the same level of training she was for those few years you two fought.”
“Few? I spent over half my life working to be better than this guy.” Future Chaya responds, laying her hands down on his head affectionately. “You're telling me while I was busting my ass training you were, what? Just going on missions?”

“Pretty much. But I think I get it.” Ace says, first to Chaya then to Chronoa, looking at his hands. His brows furrowing, and you all watch as his body shifts. His hands changing into green hands with longer fingernails, red rings around his wrists. Then they shift again, turning pink like the Majins before returning to his normal. “What you're saying is, I'm basically a living, breathing what-if?”
“Yes, precisely.” she replies, but the moment's interrupted by Mechikabura.
“Which is all well and good. But that doesn't explain why his power and The End's felt so similar.” the Demon God says, temperature seemingly falling several degrees in the room as he speaks. Turning his full focus on Chronoa, eyes narrowed dangerously. “You've been keeping secrets. Spill it. Everything.”

The two beings older than this entire timeline, this entire iteration of reality itself staring one another down. But Chronoa blinks first, looking down.

“Right. When Shenron summoned you, those words were chosen specifically. You were summoned, but under the magic of the Time Scrolls being so close, it couldn't pull you from any of them. So, it pulled you from The End. Drew that potential from The End itself, and you took the shape you did as you were summoned. You're not the first, to be built this way. But this power isn't enough, it can't stop The End. It has devoured other versions of you from other realities, before I started wiping them clean and starting over. That was the power you felt, what you felt awaken inside you. Your body, your soul resonated with those like you, potential given form. Allowing their unrealized potential, as they were devoured, to become a part of your own. To reach even greater heights than any of them. But it's not enough. Even your potential does have limits, and the limit of everything is its end.”

Silence hangs at Chronoa's declaration, her assertation that The End is unstoppable hanging over the room. That even Ace's potential isn't enough to overcome The End.

But what about you? Do you let the silence hang, or do you speak?
>Ask Chronoa if she, Aeos, and Mechikabura witnessed what happened, or if they only have what Ace and you saw to go off of? If they can see how Divine Dragon Force fought it, perhaps that could change their mind on this being an impossible task?
>Stay silent, this isn't your moment right now. You're only a witness, not involved in their discussions
>Ask what happened to that thing that devoured you and Ace, try and find out if your breaking out of it from within affected its physical form or if it's still rampaging in that other timeline

“That doesn't make it unstoppable. We just have to keep getting stronger.” you say, everyone turning and looking at you. As they do, you gently coax Divine Dragon Force to reappear around your right arm, Chronoa, Mechikabura, and Aeos's eyes all snap to your Stand instantly, while Trunks remains looking at you and Ace and Future Chaya at one another, whispering to themselves. “Divine Dragon Force here was holding it's own, for a time. When we're stronger, we'll be ab-”
“WHAT?!” Chronoa exclaims, the shout bursting from her so loud it disturbs Tokitoki, who screeches in annoyance from his perch. “What do you mean, it was holding its own?! Explain yourself!”

But her 'explain yourself' isn't directed at you, no. She demands it of your Stand, who for the first time seems to appear haggard, weary and exhausted.

“Karn speaks the truth. I... Faced it. It recognized me, from before. After it devoured the black hole Karn created.” your Stand confesses, you watching the three deities. Aeos looks confused but unsettled, Mechikabura seems impressed but Chronoa... She looks horrified. Eyes wide, taking a half-step back as implications the other two don't yet realize hit her. “When you erased my Karn's reality, I was left drifting in the void. And it tried to devour me, as well. I faced it, with everything I had. But my power wasn't enough, and it nearly ended me. Before it could, you remade reality, and I was able to flee into it. Finding a new Karn, the Karn most like the one who'd made that final wish for me to endure.”

Your Stand speaks, explaining its past, and suddenly it all clicks into place. An idea, a terrible idea coming to mind.

“You tried to destroy it, didn't you?” you ask your Stand quietly, Divine Dragon Force turning it's head to you. “To pierce its energy, and turn it back on itself. But it didn't work, did it?”
“No. Worse. It reversed my ability. Why, as I fled the battle, I shed my divine energy entirely. Why when you first reawakened me, I had no divine power left. I had to shed most of my essence to survive.” your Stand says, then even quieter adds. “I had forgotten this. Until we returned to that void, until I came face-to-face with it. And, as we fought, I could feel my power it stole within it. It devoured that energy, before it could consume itself. Which is why I was able to escape before, on my own. But, as our battle ended and Ace stepped forward, I took it back.”

You hear the unmistakable note of pride in your Stand's tone, the small curve of its lip as it speaks.

“I reclaimed what it devoured, before. Now, I remember everything.”

Silence hangs after Divine Dragon Force's declaration, the three deities all staring at you and your Stand in shock. Chronoa looks lost, as if her every sense of direction was stolen simultaneously. Aeos looks concerned, brows furrowed. But Mechikabura? The Demon God is grinning, a wide, malicious smile before he begins to laugh.

“Ha! Hahaha! Ohhhohoho! Ahahahahahaa!” he laughs, a deep belly laugh at your Stand's declaration, then holding his arms out wide. “Of course, you stubborn lizard! I should have expected nothing less from a being able to take and turn the Dark Factor itself back against me! And now that you've regained this strength, the power and memories you once had, tell me: can you defeat it? Truly?”
“As I am now? No. It is still currently beyond me. I could not best The End, even with my returned power. Not alone.” your Stand answers him, meeting his gaze. Then turning its gaze across the room, before settling on you. “However. I won't have to face it alone. Will I?”
“Hell no. We do this together.” you tell your Stand, the two of you nodding to one another, as you then look out on the room. “It's not fighting alone, so why should any of us?”

“WHAT?!” Aeos snaps, her eyes blazing with panic and anger in equal measure. “What the hell do you mean, it isn't fighting alone?”
“Couldn't you fell it? Its power?” you ask her, brows furrowing at her outrage. “The End isn't a single being. It's like Cell, where you can sense all the beings that are a part of him. Or Ginyu, when he absorbs his Ginyu Force and they become one. You can feel their powers all mixed together. Like this.”

Focusing your energy, you create five small orbs of ki, one at the end of each of your left hand's fingertips. Spinning them together in your palm, faster and faster as the energies mix and merge, becoming a single mass of energy far more powerful than any of its parts. Yet, focusing on it, you can still feel the different energies mixed throughout it, like mixing different liquids together. It has its own flavor, but a flavor of all its parts. And as you do so, you start to get an idea. A dangerous idea, perhaps. But one that could potentially even bring about the end of a being as powerful and dangerous as The End. It may be impossibly powerful and incomprehensible in scale, but that isn't all it is. It's also everything it's ever devoured. And it might just be possible to take all of that away from The End. And without everything it's devoured, what would even be left of that monster?

And that's it for this weekend, everyone enjoy this episode so far? Enjoy learning more about the battle that came before, how Divine Dragon Force came to be yours, and the scale of SCQ's endgame? Now that DDF remembers its own past fully, what new insights do you think it now possesses? What do you think of Ace now, now that you know what he can be. Do you think his potential's as limited as Chronoa seems to think it is, or can he grow beyond even her expectations with the right motivation? And are you ready to return to your time, to continue preparing for your battle with Granolah? All this and more, next time when Saiyan Conqueror Quest continues!

Also, as a small aside SCQ won't be running next weekend, as the family's going to be heading out together on a small vacation and I won't have time to be running an episode.

>Enjoy learning more about the battle that came before, how Divine Dragon Force came to be yours, and the scale of SCQ's endgame?
It explains a lot of why Divine Dragon Force is the way it is. As for the reality devouring tumor, I'm blaming the guys on top for causing the biggest blunder of all that was and ever will be (which means Chronoa).
>Now that DDF remembers its own past fully, what new insights do you think it now possesses?
It knows how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. And the answers to life and the universe too I guess. A very interesting entity to talk to.
>What do you think of Ace now, now that you know what he can be. Do you think his potential's as limited as Chronoa seems to think it is, or can he grow beyond even her expectations with the right motivation?
At the end of the day he's still the most terrifying Patroller out of his entire organization. Just for a slightly different reason now.
>And are you ready to return to your time, to continue preparing for your battle with Granolah?
I'm ready to tell him to either wrap it up or reschedule his revenge, there are other, more important things to worry about. He wants to kill Frieza and the Saiyans? The line starts over there.

I think theres a hilarious option to Forced Spirit Fission the Potentials/Other Aces out of The End to power up Our Ace, you know besides FSSing it in general.

Though I do think its funny how the Time Patrol were so worried about Karn being eaten by The End Beast and now they know so much more then before. I'm also wondering how Fu and the others are gunna react to this because I know those guys have spying set up for this place.

That said I'm also interested in seeing what kind of Zenkai Karn got from being turned inside out by The End. Thats gunna be a pretty nasty boost.

Also man, shame its impossible in the time we have for us to reach Apex Berserker, I'm pretty sure at that point our Anti Divine Suppression we have on DDF would disappear and it go full throttle without having to separate from us.

Of all the beings responsible for The End, Chronoa's the only one that's not been devoured for it.
DDF will have a lot of insight, once it fully takes time to process all this new information and memories.
It makes sense why he's so powerful, why in under essentially a day he goes from Raditz-tier to stronger than Super Saiyan God Goku. All without going above Super Saiyan 2/Elder Kai Unlock.
He's been waiting patiently for his turn. Others are just continually interrupting and cutting line.

Assuming our in-character schedule is clear for the next week, I think we can safely focus on dealing with Granolah and the Heeters.
In regards to Granolah, I think we're just fine in terms of physical strength, not that we'd have been able to make significant gains in a few days anyways. Obviously hitting him with the Talk-no-Jutsu is also on the table, but how exactly we confront him initially and subsequently structure our argument will probably decide whether or not we'll end up having to kill him.
I think there's definitely a path to non-violent resolution here, but it depends heavily on convincing him that we're not his enemies and that he's been led on by the Heeters. To that end, it might be worth bringing Cooler or Cold along to present evidence of their schemes. They've both been keeping tabs on the Heeters, and Granolah is more likely to listen to them than us in the first place. I'd also advocate for bringing Meloka along as well. If we get caught lacking or complications arise, she'd be invaluable in making sure we don't eat shit.
>>
>>6404975
I don't think we can Talk No Jutsu it away, especially coming from the likes of Karn. At most I see Granolah recognizing why Karn conquers, not out of personal enjoyment but because he had to kill to survive, first from the Tuffles and then the obligation of the Freeza Force. Not just for himself but for everyone back home, too. It'd require Granolah to see his own quest for vengeance as self-serving; his people already died and the Saiyans still around never came after him to finish the job. The universe moved on without him.

Probably secrets almost nobody knows of.

I don’t know, but it seems to be crazy. Look at this:
>>6403995
>His hands changing into green hands with longer fingernails, red rings around his wrists. Then they shift again, turning pink like the Majins before returning to his normal. “What you're saying is, I'm basically a living, breathing what-if?”
Can he just decide to be a Majin and use all the perks of it? Or change his mind and become some other thing and go with it? It seems the scale of what he can do is incredible. It’s almost easier to think about what he cannot do. I can’t easily see limits when somebody can do this much. His strange unique property could lead to some incredible results. In theory. Will he do it? Maybe. He has potential like probably no other being in reality.
>>6404056
>Do you think his potential's as limited as Chronoa seems to think it is, or can he grow beyond even her expectations with the right motivation?
I don’t trust her judgment on this. She seems to be a very pessimistic person on the inside. She sees no hope or does not believe that he, herself or even all of us have a real chance to truly succeed. Her fixating on the unbreakable limitations that prevent everyone from “pulling it off”, appears to be a something that is a strong trait of hers. She is convinced that “its hopeless” even though it is not true. That’s why I don’t think we should assume her judgment is always right, despite her enormous experience.

Yes. I guess it’s time to finally do it.

>>6404975
>Assuming our in-character schedule is clear for the next week
Bold assumption. As far as talking, the Saiyans destroyed his people and world. He's the last Cerelean left.
The Cold Clan were the ones who ordered the planet taken, their people wiped out because of their unusual abilities. The Heeters just swooped in to make money on the deal.
>>6405009
Might have to kick his ass without killing him first for that argument to work.
>>6405082
Ace is what a hero should be. Man's ready to lay it all on the line if it comes down to it.
Of course. Vegito won't leave a man behind. He even went INSIDE BUU just to get his remaining, surviving family members out of Buu instead of killing him, knowing damn well he could have simply killed Buu and gone to New Namek and revived everyone. NO ONE's left behind on Vegito's watch.
The last wish Karn made was for Divine Dragon Force to live on without him. Switching it up, using his power for the wish instead of his Stand's. Allowing it to survive the erasure of everything, and endure.
The End is a jrpg dev's final boss wet dream.
DDF reclaimed what it could, yes. Remember, the wish was for it to ENDURE. Even being consumed, Divine Dragon Force's power endured within The End.
>>6405083
Glad you enjoyed, it's been fun to finally reveal secrets teased a long, long time ago now.
There's only one being with anywhere close to Ace's potential. And that being is none other than Kars.
Her judgement has come from more disappointments than there have been living beings in Karn's timeline's Seventh Universe since it's inception. After that long, understandably, it's far easier to give up than keep hoping.
Hopefully no one ELSE wants to take a shot before this fight goes down. But maybe one more person wants a piece of you first, to test out their newfound powers.
The End is exactly what it says on the tin. It IS The End. In more ways than one.
A bit of OOC knowledge on it, when Karn broke it from inside, it seemingly got sucked back into nothingness, like a black hole opened up inside it and pulled it out of reality. Like having a balloon on the out of a shopvac, then suddenly reversing the suction.
True. After all, what is just essentially a guy with a different colored eye to THAT thing?

>True. After all, what is just essentially a guy with a different colored eye to THAT thing?
I don't really remember anything about his arc, but does Granolah do anything besides shoot really accurate beams? You'd think a Super Battle Droid with a sufficiently powerful laser emitter mounted on its frame would be able to accomplish the same thing and be nigh-undetectable while doing it.
>>
>>6406439
Hopefully someone who's read the direct material will correct me if I'm wrong, but Granolah's right eye is a specific Cerealian trait that allows him to assess the vital areas of whoever he's focused on and see which parts to hit for maximum lethal damage. To grossly oversimplify this, just think of him as Hit, but instead of lagswitching he uses aimbot

>There's only one being with anywhere close to Ace's potential. And that being is none other than Kars.
That is really a lot. What is Ace’s approach to this information about himself? I think the scope of possibilities that comes with this ability can be overwhelming at first.

Also think about how crazy you can go with this in combat. If he will be able to “change” quickly during the fight, this could lead to him being able to do some insane combos.
>A bit of OOC knowledge on it, when Karn broke it from inside, it seemingly got sucked back into nothingness, like a black hole opened up inside it and pulled it out of reality. Like having a balloon on the out of a shopvac, then suddenly reversing the suction.
If I understand what you mean, it returned to the outside of reality and it no longer is in our world. Interesting. I’m almost certain this might not be our last meeting with this strange creature with multiple maws. Does it have a name? Why it follows the Devourer’s will? Aright I know, that’s too much questions for now. Maybe during the adventure we will find out in character.

By the way if The End theoretically succeeds and devours this reality and everyone in it, what will it do then? Will it be all alone in the nothingness with nothing more to devour? Will its endless hunger drive it insane? I just don’t know what could happen if it wins and there is absolutely nothing left.
>>
>>6407678
True. After all, that's one of Karn's more dangerous attacks. And now that he is no doubt aware you're coming, or that you're the Saiyan to beat, he's been watching tape on you.
>>6407781
He's still going to be coming to terms with it for a while. Learning you're the physical embodiment of what CAN be is quite a lot to take in.
The better part is when he learns he doesn't have to "change" at all. That he is and isn't all the things he could be simultaneously.
Yes, it got sucked back out of reality. And even if you meet something similar, you won't see the same one again. As it isn't a living being, not in the conceptual sense. More like a fragment of The End crossing the barrier between existence and not.
It will keep searching the void until it finds something else to consume.
>>
>>6408301
>he's been watching tape on you.
That's a given, ain't it? Anybody grinding an axe for 20 years would probably understand the utility of observation in such endeavors.
Still, it's one thing to know what we've done on camera and how we did it. It's another thing to face us in the flesh and realize you're still caught in a completely new scenario.
>The better part is when he learns he doesn't have to "change" at all. That he is and isn't all the things he could be simultaneously.
He'd do well to realize the nature of time and space as being non-linear (and that's putting it mildly), but letting a Mortal in on the big secret would be probably be a bridge too far for Aeos and Chronoa.
>It will keep searching the void until it finds something else to consume.
Reminds me of a certain Sith. Anyways, that to me sounds like we have at least one way to bait it if we need to.

>He's still going to be coming to terms with it for a while. Learning you're the physical embodiment of what CAN be is quite a lot to take in.
Indeed.
>Yes, it got sucked back out of reality. And even if you meet something similar, you won't see the same one again. As it isn't a living being, not in the conceptual sense. More like a fragment of The End crossing the barrier between existence and not.
Fascinating and unexpected. I guess nothing is simple and as one can be used to, when it comes to the End.
>It will keep searching the void until it finds something else to consume.
It has one thing on its mind. Strange being.

Darth Nihilus?

By the way Marvel is in Universe 6. Turns out that recently Jujutsu Kaisen became canon there too. (That picture with "Shiubya, Tokyo, Japan".)

Does this means that there is some chance to encounter Cursed Spirits or someone using Cursed Technique in the Saiyan Conqueror Quest?

Not gonna lie, I see shit like that (both that trite bullshit type of "article" and the idea of a single gag or reference being touted as gospel) and my eyes glaze over. I'd also take a shot at the idea of le ebin multiverse crossover setting, but uh...glass houses and all that.

At the Next Tournament of Power. Champa will bring someone with Ten Shadows and that person will summon Mahoraga.

That's understandable.

I made the mistake of clicking on them when they popped up in my news feed after a while and THAT kinda opened my eyes to just how bad pop culture "journalism" is across the board now.
It's all ads and garbage and 4th grade book report type shit that probably isn't even written by Human hands anymore. Utterly worthless.
>>
>>6409128
Journalism is mostly dead as an institution nowadays. Doesn't even matter what kind you pick. The only exception which proves the rule is citizen journalism. But that's just because it has always existed on a per-basis judgement.

Granolah knows far more about you than anyone else who's challenged you to a fight. He thinks he can legitimately beat you in a one-on-one, now that he's got his wish and has felt his new power.
True, but perhaps Ace knows this intrinsically now? After all, he has at least temporarily connected with his embodiments across all of the realities while in the void that The End has consumed.
The End will consume, it is what it is.
>>6409090
The line between what is and what is NOT is certainly a lot to understand.

Such an ugly sequence, animation-wise. Did they spill something on the pages and just go "fuck it, random splotches go"? It's no one frame man, because they tried SOMETHING here. But man it doesn't work. Looks like a fan animation.

>>6409190
>He thinks he can legitimately beat you in a one-on-one, now that he's got his wish and has felt his new power.
I mean yeah. He totally could. Plenty of others could rightfully make that claim as well. Our track record notwithstanding, once you get into our weight class, we're far from [TITLE CARD].
The issue is killing Karn before he kills you, which is uh...yeah good luck with that.
>Such an ugly sequence, animation-wise.
Yeah I can kinda rock with the abstract idea they're going for, but it really just feels like a chore to look at as opposed to being novel. At this point thought that's kinda endemic to Japanese animators as a whole, where it's all flashy bullshit with no substance and the piece is made all the poorer for it. It'll impress the lowest common denominator, sure, but what I wouldn't give to see characters move with weight and normal camera work these days.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 260 Intermission-

AGE 759, PLANET RENSACOR

“Come on, is that all you've got?” you ask, your reforged sword Blue Flame clashing with Tapion's blade as the ancient Konatsian goes on the attack. Swinging his blade in unfamiliar combinations, keeping you on the defensive. Matching his two-handed strikes with your one handed blade, your power matching his own easily. Letting him press the advantage without retaliating, seeing how he fights. “Show me what you can really do!”
“Hmph. HRRAAAA!” he roars, channeling his energy into his blade as he suddenly springs back. Leaping away from you, slashing the air. Sending slashing blades of his energy streaking from the sword directly at you.

“WOOOAAAAH!!” your daughter Meloka Wolbach shouts in excitement as you plant your feet, meeting each slash with a magical slash of your own from your blade. Ki and magic colliding and detonating against one another, lighting up the sky. “That was amazing, do it again!”
“Do it again!” Kazuburo, your youngest son shouts, copying his sister but also clearly enjoying the show. Your family all atop your home, watching the sparring match between you and the newest member of your alliance through his paces. Putting Tapion through his paces, seeing what the legendary hero can actually do. “Again, again!”

You are Chilli. Father of Meloka Wolbach and Kazuburo, husband to Megumin, Crystal Sage, Super Saiyan, champion of Planet Rensacor, son of Karn, and currently pleasantly surprised with his level of skill and power. He's not strong enough to measure up to you, with Super Saiyan alone you have more than enough power to overwhelm him completely. But on this planet? His power should me more than enough for anything that comes around. And, almost as if on cue, a familiar presence reaches out, its mind touching your own.

“My Champion. A god approaches.” Planet Rensacor's avatar thinks directly into your mind. Not shouting, as it had when you'd first created the planet a body. But as you feel your planet's avatar reach out, the body you'd made it simply appears behind you, its back to yours. “One not of this world.”

Immediately you're worried it's trouble, holding up a hand to Tapion. Who stops instantly, and you can see in that split-second he's recognized there's trouble, and is ready to help. You turn, but don't see anything or anyone. So, through your length to the planet, reach out. Tapping into Rensacor's own awareness, your mind filled instantly with the energy of EVERYONE. From the smallest blade of grass to the largest dragon, from the weakest insect to your own extended family's strength, you can sense every being on your world. Including the god walking up towards your home, towards you specifically even though they're using some sort of power to mask their awareness.

“That's close enough.” you call out to the seemingly-empty air where the deity approaches from. “Why don't you state your name and your business?”
“Impressive. No, you're even more impressive than the rumors suggest.” an ethereal voice calls before the invisibility drops, and you see a white-robed figure standing near the crest of the hill. Hiding their face behind some sort of porcelain-seeming mask, also white. “Yes, you might be the one. The one who can do it.”
“Do what? Speak plainly.” you order, leveling your sword at him. “State your name and business.”

“Of course, Lord Chilli. Forgive me, I have been searching so long...” the being says, bowing at the waist in a reverent, almost mocking gesture. “I am called Loptr. And I have searched long and wide for one with the latent potential. The one who can wield the power of the ancient Runes, and set the realms right.”

At this the stranger draws something from his robes, holding up a small, unevenly-shaped crystal. One that, thanks to your bond with Rensacor and your Champion power flowing through you, is radiating with intense divine energy. Far more so than the being in possession of it, whose own divine aura pales in comparison. But, instead of going to you, the crystal suddenly flies from his hand. Going not to you, but launching itself at your daughter!

“Duck!” you shout, exploding off the ground, moving to intercept the small crystal, with its razor-sharp point heading straight for your daughter. Getting between it and your child, the crystal suddenly phases THROUGH you, continuing to fly right at her! “DAMMIT! TA-!”
“NO!” the masked man shouts, leaping up and grabbing your arm before you can fire your attack at the crystal. “It will not harm her! Look!”

And, sure enough, as you watch the crystal flies right up to her. Stopping at her outstretched hands, hovering there between them.

“The Rune has chosen.” the deity says, his voice sounding conflicted. Clearly wanting you to have this power, not a child. “Perhaps it sees something in her?”
“Woah...” Meloka Wolbach says, holding the crystal between her hands, it hovering there, spinning slightly. “It's pretty.”

She then looks up to you, you and the masked figure both.

“What... What do I DO with it?” she asks, clearly unsure. But the masked being doesn't hesitate, flying over towards your daughter. You do so as well, still clearly not trusting this masked being.
“I shall show you.” they say, reaching back behind them and opening a portal. Flying back into it, into some sort of cave with the sound of running water inside. “Please, come with me.”

“Dad?” Meloka Wolbach asks you, looking from the crystal, to the portal, to you. Clearly wanting to go, but also nervous.
“Right behind you.” you tell her, flying up to your wife and gently kissing her. “We'll-”
“Me too!” Kazuburo suddenly says, flying up side-by-side to his sister. “I wanna go too!”
“Dad, can Kazuburo come too?” your daughter asks, turning to you. Both children looking to you with wide, expectant eyes. “Momma, come too!”

“All right, we'll all go.” you say to them, sending a quick telepathic message to Tapion, telling him to head down to the village and speak to Yuiyui. Then you reach out to Ainz and Rimuru, letting them both know what's going on as well and to be ready in case this is another trap of some sort. Then, your home secure, the four of you go through the portal as well. Stepping into the cave, the small area dominated by a large, ornate fountain. With some sort of horned beast as it's central fixture, the water flowing from its hands down into the pool.

“Welcome, to the divine fountain.” the masked man Loptr says, again bowing graciously. Turning to Meloka Wolbach, kneeling before her. “The Rune has chosen you. Do you wish to accept this quest?”
“Quest?” she asks, eyes widening. “What quest?”
“The quest to reunite the Nine Runes.” the masked deity says, gesturing to the crystal still floating between your daughter's hands. “The Rune has chosen you to undertake this quest, but it is ultimately your choice. Do you wish to learn to wield the power of the divine runes?”

“Yes! Teach me!” your daughter shouts, clearly eager. And while you can't see it, you can almost FEEL a smug grin on that deity's face under the white mask. “I want to know!”
“Very well. I shall teach you how to use this power. But how you use this strength, this power is up to you.” the being says, leveling his hands towards your daughter's Rune crystal. And as it begins to glow, you've got a feeling things aren't as straightforward as this masked being is making them out to be. But you'll play along, for now, let this deity empower your daughter. But you'll be keeping a close eye on her, and him too. And if this is some sort of trick, if this deity's using you for something nefarious, you'll crush him yourself.

Looks like Chilli's whole family's going on a trip! Seems like they'll be unreachable for the near future, and won't be able to be called upon for the battle with Granolah. I guess only time will tell.

he wanted CHILLI to do this, not his daughter. Her being chosen is something he clearly hadn't anticipated happening. And the invisibility was some sort of test, which Chilli passed with ease. Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After confronting The End side-by-side with none other than Ace and using Divine Dragon Force to unlock his true power, thanks to help from the Time Patrol Karn and Ace escaped The End, narrowly. Where Chronoa explained that Ace is potential given form, that DDF awakened him to his latent truth. And Divine Dragon Force reveals that it has recovered the power and memories it had to shed to escape The End, to rejoin reality as Chronoa recreated it and found you. And as we rejoin Karn, you've had an idea.

“Chronoa. I just had an idea.” you tell her, the tiny god meeting your gaze. “The End isn't a being, but a collection of what it's stolen. Do you think-?
“If you're about to suggest Forced Spirit Fission, no. It won't work.” she answers, shaking her head. “You have to be able to damage something, to use that technique.”
“Maybe not Forced Spirit Fission itself, but surely there's a way to improve the technique?” you press on, the idea taking root. “With all of your godly powers, surely there's a way to improve upon this technique. To push its limits and really start splitting The End from everything it's devoured. With all of you working together, and whoever else you can think to add to this, I'm sure it's possible to develop a version of this technique that will work.”

“It is worth consideration. I shall look into this first, myself.” Mechikabura replies, before Chronoa can interject again. “And if the idea shows promise, I'll put more effort into the technique. However, in the meantime. If you're ready, I can return you to your timeline the moment you left. Or, if you'd prefer, you can rest and recover here in Conton City before going back. What do you say?”

Well? Do you accept his offer?

“Appreciate the offer. Think I'll head out, see the city a bit before I head back.” you reply to him. “Will be good to see that the people living here have rebuilt, after what happened.”
“Ace, Chaya, you two take a break too.” Future Trunks tells them. “You've been working for fourteen hours straight on stopping these incursions, you both need a breather. Take a bit, show Karn around.”
“I can still-!” Future Chaya's about to start, but stops as Ace gently squeezes her hand. She looks down to him in her lap, expression softening before looking back up to Trunks. “Okay. Break, yeah. C'mon, up you go.”

She then helps Ace up to his feet, the Patroller swaying on his feet a moment before regaining his balance. Giving her a small smile, then the three of you head towards the door.

“And Karn. Try not to get into any fights this time.” Chronoa says, her tone slightly worried. To which you turn back to her, smirking slightly.
“I won't start any fights. But I can't promise someone won't recognize me and try to have their revenge.” you tell her honestly. “But I'll take it away from the city this time.”

Your answer clearly annoys her, as she crosses her arms. But she also doesn't contest your answer, you, Future Chaya and Ace walking together to the free-standing archway portal. The one that connects this place where the Time Scrolls are kept to the rest of the Time Patrol city. And as you step through, walking through the strange sensation of wrongness through that portal, you find yourself standing on a large platform overlooking a plaza, a city in the near distance. But what really gets you isnot what you see, but what you can sense. Hundreds of beings going about their day, most at least as powerful as your twins, many stronger than even your Chaya. Dozens stronger than you, even at your strongest. Seems that this place, the people who called this city home have gotten significantly stronger than the last time you were here.

“C'mon, I know a great spot to get lunch.” Future Chaya says, lifting up into the air. Ace follows suit, but as you try and follow you feel something. As if the air itself is resisting you, trying to keep you grounded.
“What the hell?” you mutter, clenching your fists and forcing yourself into the air, air that feels nearly too thick and heavy to fly through. “Why is it so hard to fly here?”
“Hard to...?” Future Chaya starts, confused.

“You don't have a flying license.” Ace says to you, you turning to him in confusion. “All Time Patrollers, once they've reached the milestone of defeating Freeza, earn their flying license. Within the area of Conton City, flying is restricted.”
“I see.” you reply, managing to keep in the air with the two of them. Following them, fighting through the resistant air as you follow your alternate timeline daughter and the living embodiment of potential. They lead you the short flight to where the city meets the plaza, dropping out of the air. You follow suit, landing hard. Dropping to a knee, struggling a second to reclaim your breath before rising up to your feet. Where you see two familiar faces emerging from the nearby building.

“-old you, it's nowhere near as good as-” the kid with the purple hair who reminds you of something says to a kid who looks like Bardock's son Kakarot. Both freezing when they see you, as if they recognize you. “Oh shit!”
“It's him!” the tiny Kakarot says, both boys leaping back, and starting a very familiar dance. “Fuuuu! Sion! HAA!!”

The two boys merge in a flash of blinding light, and as it fades, a fused fighter stands before you. But not just any fighter, this one's already ascended to Super Saiyan 3.

“The Grim Reaper of Justice, Gotenks is here!” they declare, pointing a hand at you. “I haven't forgotten you, Karn! You're gonna pay for what you did to our home!”

Well? How do you reply to this sudden challenge?
>Tell the fusion if they want to go another round, you'll meet them in the arena again, just like last time. And this time the fight won't end until one of you wins
> Hold up your hands, tell them you're not here to fight anybody and just got finished with an important mission

Staring down the fusion, their power isn't insignificant. At Super Saiyan Three, your power is roughly a quarter of the fusion's own. But then an idea hits. You wonder if your Forced Spirit Fission, like you were telling the deities to use against The End, maybe you can make a case for it here and now? That decided, you focus, raising your hand palm-out towards the fusion.

“Oh-ho! You're really gonna take US on? And not even gonna transform first?” they ask, crossing their arms. “This is gonna be too easy!”
“Daddy, what are you doi-?” Future Chaya asks, but before she can finish, you unleash your power.
“HRMPH!” you exhale, activating your technique. Your energy slamming invisibly into Gotenks, the power trying to split apart the fusion. You can feel it, the bonds holding the fusion together weakening. But it doesn't crack, Gotenks doesn't split back into his two original beings. But they feel what you're doing, and immediately launch themselves on the offensive. Blurring at you with a wild, heavy right punch aimed square at your face. They're fast, far faster than you. And you take the punch right to the jaw. The powerful punch sending you flying backwards, launching you all the way back out of the city, flipping back and landing on your feet in the plaza. Sliding back until your heels hit the central fountain. “Tch!”

“Hey, what the hell was that?!” Gotenks asks, flying over and landing in front of you, aura blazing. Lightning crackling around them. “What did you do to me?”
“DAD!?” Future Chaya shouts, flying over and landing, transformed once more. Back in her Apex form, looking furious. “What the hell-?!”
“Easy, Chaya. It's okay.” you tell her, holding a hand up to her. Gotenks looking intimidated as he clearly recognizes Future Chaya. “As for what I did to you, it's called Forced Spirit Fission. It's a technique meant to counter fusions, or to free people absorbed by someone like the Majins do.”

“Woah! You can free people absorbed by Majins? That would have been perfect against Majin Buu!” Gotenks exclaims, clearly excited. “You gotta teach me how to do that!”
“Sorry, but I can't. There's a lot you gotta learn first.” you tell him, the child “Awwwww!”ing as you tell him this. So, you decide to give him a place to start. “Do you know the Yardratians?”

“Huh? Yardratians? Oh, you mean the ones who taught Goten's dad how to use Instant Transmission?” the fusion asks, eyes lighting up. “Wait, is that one of THEIR techniques?”
“Yeah. Forced Spirit Fission's their strongest technique, the one you can learn by mastering their teachings.” you tell the fusion, who's bouncing up and down excitedly. And before you've finished talking they're already taking off, dashing through the air.
“I'm gonna go find the Yardratians! Later!” Gotenks shouts, and in seconds he's gone. Clearly off to go start learning this technique himself.

“Well, that was certainly something.” Ace says, the three of you then turning as you sense another powerlevel approaching.

“Sending him to find the Yardrats. He'll be back in half an hour.” the man walking up says, and his appearance is... Confusing. His hair's virtually identical to your own, but wearing glasses on his face. Wearing a dark jacket over a lighter, collared sleeved shirt, the sleeves rolled up to just past his elbows But wearing a more traditional pair of fighting pants and sash belt, ending in shoes and gloves made of some kind of leather. “The boys don't have the patience for that kind of learning, won't until they're older.”

“Gohan.” Ace says, the two sharing a small nod. The man answering Ace with his own name before the man turns his focus back on you.
“Ace. So, you're him. Karn. Not gonna lie, was expecting you to be taller.” he says, you raising a brow at this. “From the way Trunks used to talk after your battles with him, you'd think you were twenty feet tall and unstoppable.”
“Heh, well I did get the better of him quite often.” you reply with a chuckle, offering your hand. “Yeah, I'm Karn. So, who're you, Gohan?”

“That's... A difficult question.” the man replies, taking your hand and shaking once. Specifically your hand, so you know he's not a Saiyan. Or at least not one raised among Saiyans. “Right now, I'm the Headmaster of the Time Patrol school here, teaching the next generations of Time Patrollers how to do battle. I've had to revamp my curriculum, after the stunt you and Mechikabura pulled. Saw a lot of my teachings were-”
“Ineffective? Impotent? Counterproductive?” Future Chaya offers, trying to seem helpful as she takes digs at the man with a teasing grin.
“I was teaching them how to be good fighters. But I wasn't teaching them how to WIN.” Gohan says to you, meeting your gaze. “I watched back your fights here, and elsewhere. And was granted access to your Time Scroll, for a time. To see how you trained, and between you training your fellow Saiyans and some of your battles with Trunks especially, it has caused me to reevaluate how Time Patrollers are trained. And they're now taught to win.”

“An important distinction. Anyone can fight, can throw power around. But what matters most is winning. To protect what's important to you.” you say, Gohan nodding along.
“Precisely. Since you're here with Ace and Chaya, I'm assuming you're not here to tear the place up again. If you want, I could show you? Get your opinion on how the Time Patrollers of tomorrow are being taught?”

You think it over for a few seconds, quickly deciding that this could be the best use of your time here. Seeing how they train their fighters, what they're ready to fight, and possibly even taking up something you could bring back and teach your own people? How could you pass this up?

“Sure. I'd like that.” you reply to him, nodding once.
“You have fun Dad, Ace an' I are going to go eat.” Future Chaya says with a grin. “When you're done, come find me, okay? I want to say bye before you head back.”
“Of course, kiddo.” you say, reaching out and ruffling her Apex Saiyan crimson hair a moment. She powers down, then walking away hand-in-hand with Ace. A moment of silence hangs as Gohan watches this, then turns back to you. Reevaluating you in his eyes.

“So, we've actually got something I think you'll enjoy, going on at the school today.” Gohan tells you, and instead of flying starts walking towards the city. Clearly aware you'd have difficulty flying in Conton City, with the flying restriction. “Today is their Evaluation Day.”
“Evaluation Day?” you ask him, raising a brow. “Evaluating what?”
“Their progress.” he says, leading you down a central street, waving occasionally at passerby who wave to him, the large building he's leading you to looming large. “Today they will put their skills to the test against one another, in matchups picked by their teachers. You're welcome to come sit in and watch, tell me what you think?”

Well? Are you in?
>Sure, you're curious how the Time Patrollers in training will fight one another
>Ask what else is going on, while some are being evaluated in sparring matches against each other. You can see sparring back home, you're curious what else they've got going on here

While I'm curious as to their specific training methodology, I think this might be the most useful for us in the long term. If he really meant what he said earlier about training them right, we gotta make sure they're actually being pressure tested and not just regurgitating set forms and techniques in canned scenarios like a lot of Dojos like to do.

“Sure, you've got me curious.” you answer him, nodding once. “I have wondered how Time Patrollers are trained, and how they fight one another.”
“Then let's not waste any time.” he says, grabbing your arm as his own aura suddenly surges up pale around him. Powerlevel increasing hundreds of times as he takes off. Flying over the massive building, over to a massive stadium behind it. One that looks suspiciously like the arena you'd built in your own city, just on a far larger scale for the audience and a smaller fighting area instead. Gohan flying the both of you to an area nearest the stage, landing besides several other beings, including a Namekian. One that, while much older, you definitely recognize.

“Piccolo?” you ask, the Namekian turning to you with wide, surprised eyes.
“Hold on. You know me?” he asks, shocked. Controlling his expression after a moment, schooling his features back to neutral. “So, I guess you finally made it to Earth in your timeline then, Karn?”
“Yeah. But I gotta say, you're a lot stronger than that version of you.” you reply, then turn your focus to the fight. Where a humanoid is battling one of Freeza's kind. Both swinging at one another then leaving afterimages behind, each one a half-second too slow to catch the other in this exchange. Both fighters seemingly vanishing one right after the other for several seconds, until the one of Freeza's kind lands a powerful kick to the humanoid's back, sending him flying.

“KAIO-KEN!” the Freeza race shouts, the crimson aura blazing up as he draws his hands back to his right side, power more than doubling as he puts everything into this next attack. “KAMEHAMEHAAA!!”

Firing a massive, overwhelming beam at the flying body of the humanoid, still seemingly-stunned by the blow.

“Come on Kael! Get outta the way!” one of the other teachers, a yellow Majin wearing armor similar to Ginyu's own, but with a stylized version of her face instead of his logo on the belt. “Move!”
“Take him down, Glacia! Finish him!” another calls, but your don't see the speaker. Your eyes focused on the fight, and at the last moment the man Kael recovers. Throwing his arms wide, aura blazing golden as he transforms.
“SHYAAAAA!!” he bellows, going Super. His power spiking, aura blasting away the blue beam. Immediately Glacia ends the attack and the Kaio-Ken powerup, instead throwing their arms wide as their own golden aura begins blazing.

“You want to power up? Then I'll quit holding back!” Glacia responds, ascending to their Golden form. The Saiyan Kael takes his fighting stance, but with the Golden form up against him, you can feel just how outmatched he is. Glacia surges forward, faster than the young Saiyan can react and slams a devastating right uppercut square into his guts.
“Guuuuh-!” he wheezes, doubling over Glacia's fist. But the distant kin of Freeza doesn't stop at just one blow, following up with a left cross to the jaw that sends him flying. Only to dash past him, appearing where he'll be and lacing their fingers together in a double axe handle, slamming Kael down into the stage far below.

“I'm ending this! Now!” Glacia declares, flying up higher and raising a single finger. Creating not one, but THREE of Cooler's Supernova blasts overhead. Throwing their finger forward, sending the first orb down first, followed by the other two. The three massive orbs combining, exploding in a massive blast of power. One that causes a mostly-transparent rainbow barrier to appear, absorbing the shock waves. Protecting the audience from the battle raging inside the ring. You watch as the smoke slowly clears, the other fighter having survived that blast. Slowly pushing themselves back up to their feet, despite being knocked down to their base form, their power having dropped significantly. Barely having enough strength to stand.

“This fight's over.” Gohan says, going to stand up and declare the match over.

But what do you do?
>Tell Gohan to wait, this Kael's clearly not done yet. He's still standing, he's not given up yet
>Let him call the match without interference, but make a note of this and keep quietly watching
>You're curious if you can aid him, reach out and share some of your Berserker Soul's power with him. See if he can power up with the Berserker Soul's fury, or if it will simply control him

“GLACIA! GO! Finish this before they recover!” you roar, the Freeza race fighter who'd been hovering and panting, trying to catch their breath freezes. Goes completely still before turning to you, eyes wide. Then, after a moment the shock fades, understanding dawning and they nod. Energy blazing as they clench their fists, gather everything they've got left and dive straight down towards their still-standing foe like a blazing meteor. Their foe, Kael, also seemingly wakes up from your shout, looking towards you. Taking their eye off their opponent, and turning back to them far too late. Eyes wide, realizing what's about to happen.

“Shit! Final Shi-!” he shouts, drawing his right hand back, trying to gather his energy. But before he can gather enough to fire, Glacia slams into Kael's chest. Smashing him down into the ground, kicking up a massive cloud of dust. And as it clears, you see Kael clearly knocked out in the crater, Glacia standing with one foot on his chest, fist raised to the air. No longer in his golden form, chest heaving and clearly spent, but victorious. The crowd roars, cheering on Freeza's distant relative's victory. And a man in a black suit, wait, you recognize him. That's the guy from Earth, the one who said he was an announcer for their fighting tournament, is also announcing here.

“The winner is Glacia!” he declares into his mic, the crowd cheering. Glacia lowering his fist, sagging in exhaustion as he steps off his fallen comrade, lifting him up onto his shoulder then carrying him from the stage. And as both fighters walk through the far arch, the stage starts reverting back to its undamaged state. “Aaaaand now, for the next match, we have our own hometown human hero, Cynthia! And her opponent, the Namekian powerhouse Piyano!”

From the arch the other two disappeared down, emerge two more fighters. A slim blonde woman with a long black coat and longer hair and a tall, broad-shouldered Namekian. The human's lithe form doesn't look powerful compared to the massive Namekian, but from what you can sense her power dwarfs his own substantially. However, as the two make their way to the center of the ring, the Namekian Piccolo turns back to you.

“Tell me, who do you think has the advantage here?” he asks you, raising a brow slightly. “Which fighter do you think's going to win?”

“Hrmm...” you reply, not answering immediately. Looking both fighters over, trying to see what you can figure out about them both while the crowd clearly favors Cynthia, chanting her name. Looking them over carefully, the fighter Cynthia is a mystery to you. She appears completely at ease, relaxed, and ready for the challenge ahead. Her power's significant, and not just what she's got on display. She's keeping most of her power held back, clearly familiar with his power and not going all-out. But the Namekian, Piyano... While he seems nervous, as you sense his power, you realize he's also holding back. Not to the same extent as Cynthia, who is radiating confidence that she'll win this fight, but the gap isn't as wide as it first appears. But, as you focus on him more, you realize something. Looking at his eyes, you can see he's not afraid! You don't see the fear of defeat, of loss and embarrassment you'd expect. No, he's nervous, but also that nervousness is an act! He's got a plan, and part of that relies on his foe underestimating him. “Piyano.”

“Oh? What makes you think that?” Piccolo asks as you don't take your eyes off Piyano and Cynthia.
“He's got a plan.” you reply, seeing the way he's trying to look like someone nervous but trying not to be. “He's lulling her into a false sense of security, and whatever he's planning, he needs her to underestimate him.”
“Hmph. Observant.” he replies as the announcer declares the beginning of the match. Piyano immediately taking his own fighting stance, defensive and ready for his foe to try and rush him immediately. But Cynthia doesn't go on the offensive, standing her ground and talking first, not opening with her power.

“You can give up, Piyano. There's no shame in surrendering a battle you cannot win.” Cynthia tells him, not even taking a fighting stance. Looking completely confident, relaxed and unhurried.
“I won't give up!” the larger Namekian shouts, exploding off the ground forward towards her. Closing the distance, drawing his right back as he charges. To which she smirks, planting her feet more firmly, but not raising her power to full. Then, right as he closes in, suddenly Piyano transforms! In a flash of power he ascends, turning orange and instantly growing noticeably larger and broader as his power skyrockets!
“Wh-!?” is all Cynthia has time to say before his massive fist slams into her face. The titanic blow sends her flying back, smashing into the barrier separating the audience from the fighters so hard she bounces off it. Gasping in shock, only for Piyano to close the distance and slam his knee into her guts, then a vicious elbow to the back of the head. Sending her crashing down to the arena floor, unmoving. Seemingly out cold, to the entire stadium's shock.

The entire arena looks on, stunned at what they all just witnessed. From the calls of the crowd earlier, you knew she was heavily favored to win. But did Piyano just pull off an upset victory?

“I-It would seem that Cynthia is unable to continue. Which means that Piy-Huh?” the announcer shouts then stops, everyone watching as Cynthia stands up! Dusting herself off as if nothing happened, then turning to face Piyano directly.
“Well now, this is a surprise.” she says with a smile, her own dark purple aura flaring up around her. But as it does, you feel a familiar sensation. Something about her energy feels familiar, but you can't quite place it. “I didn't think you had unlocked the Orange form yet. Looks like you've been training really hard, Piyano. So, to honor your hard work to get ready to face me, I'll face you with everything I've got! Now, come forth! DRAGON QUEEN!”

And at her declaration the familiar energy coalesces, and the Time Patroller Cynthia summons forth her Stand.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lpc49inHy8o

“HRYOOOOOH!” the dark blue draconic creature with its red belly and an upside down golden star on its nose bellows, spreading its winged arms with a cry. And from the way the crowd reacts, it seems they can all see her Stand too, and not just you.
“Good guess.” Piccolo says, a hint of smugness to his tone. “Now, you'll see why Cynthia is the number one of her class, the current strongest student in the entire Time Patrol academy.”

“And there it is folks, Cynthia's revealed her trump card, her Stand DRAGON QUEEN!” the announcer shouts, confirming your suspicions. “Despite an explosive start from Piyano, his attempt doesn't seem to have phased Cynthia at all! Does this spell the end for him, or does he have more tricks up his sleeve?”
“There it is.” he replies, taking his fighting stance still in the air, not backing down. “Now the real battle begins.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ql-TllQkoqM

“Indeed.” she declares, leveling her hand at the Namekian. Who, despite his power now vastly surpassing her full strength, isn't acting like he has the advantage. Which, he may not, as you have no idea what her Stand is capable of. “Dragon Queen! Let's go!”
“HRYOOOOOH!!” it roars, opening its mouth and bellowing forth a column of flame at the Orange Namekian. Who dashes aside to his left, dodging the fire only for the Stand to follow his escape with the flames. Chasing him around the arena near the barrier, the audience cheering harder at the display.

“Fire breath can't be it. This thing's got to have far more intense powers than that.” you mutter, to which Piccolo beside you chuckles.
“Watch and see. Her Dragon Queen is quite the force of nature.” he says, you turning back to the fight. Orange Piyano keeping his distance as he gathers his ki in his hands, then starts firing blasts of energy down towards Cynthia and her Dragon Queen before charging down himself. “Or, rather, all of them.”
“All?” you question, not looking away from the fight as the dragon ends the blast at him and blasts the ki attacks then stomps the ground, shattering the arena itself and dislodging two massive slabs. Sending both huge chunks of rock rocketing up towards the approaching Namekian. However, as it does, you can feel something strange. You can feel the power of a Stand infused in those slabs of rock, somehow. And Piyano doesn't even try and smash through them, instead weaving between them, trying to get closer into melee range.

“Now, Dragon Queen! Rend the air!” Cynthia declares, and the dragon's entire wing begins glowing with power. Swinging its wing like a blade, the slash cutting through the air and reaching Piyano far faster than you'd expected it to. He tries to dodge, but is too slow, the blade of wind slashing his right arm clean off!
“GYAAAAAH!” Piyano shouts in pain, but to his credit he doesn't slow. Swinging his left at Cynthia, arm stretching as he launches his punch at her. But her Stand's just as fast as he is, biting down on his fist and tearing his hand off at the wrist. “Tch! Got you!”
“What?” she says as, to everyone's surprise his hand regenerates almost instantly, energy gathered at the tip of his finger. Firing a Death Beam directly at Cynthia's face as her Stand's still turning from its bite. Cynthia leans her head aside, letting the beam narrowly pass over her shoulder harmlessly. “Clever. But not good enough!”

“HRYOOOOOH!!” Dragon Queen roars, turning and point-blank bathing Piyano in its flames. Blasting the Namekian back across the stage, then ending the burst of fire breath. Instead drawing its head back, gathering a massive ball of fire at it's mouth then shooting it. The large ball of fire rocketing down, with five trailing streams of flame coming from it. The one-armed Piyano, though, isn't out of this yet. Clutching his bleeding stump, leaps up into the air. Dodging the fiery explosion that obliterates a chunk of the arena where he'd fallen. If that had landed, you've no doubt this fight would be over.
“Khh! HRRRYAAAAA!” Piyano roars, regrowing his lost arm. You feel his powerlevel spike downwards, taking a noticeable dip to regenerate himself. Leaving him panting in the air, while Cynthia stands confidently center stage, looking completely fresh still. “Haaah, haaaaah, haaah.”

“So. You still think he can win this?” Piccolo asks you, not taking his gaze from the fighters either. Studying them both, as Gohan mutters to himself. Glancing over, you see he's got some sort of datapad pulled up, looking between it and the fighters as he takes notes.

Well? How do you respond?
>You think it's still possible for him to win, he's shown he's clever and has the power advantage. If he can find a way past Dragon Queen, he stands a chance
>You're starting to think Cynthia won't lose to him, unless she underestimates him again. She nearly lost her head once, after all
>Telepathically reach out to Cynthia, tell her that she needs to stop playing around and take this seriously or she could lose this
>Telepathically reach out to Piyano, tell him that he needs to keep his distance and use ranged attacks, to set up an attack she doesn't see coming and take her by surprise to win

I think Piyano has the right idea, leveraging his unique abilities to land shots Cynthia can't see coming. The issue now is making any headway while she has her guard up, especially before he gasses out.

“It's still possible for him to win.” you reply as Piyano hovers in the air, looking down at the calm, collected Cynthia and her Stand. “He's shown he's clever, and still has the advantage in power. If he can find a way past her Stand Dragon Queen, he stands a chance.”
“Hmmm. You're not wrong. The question is, if.” Piccolo replies, watching to see what the Namekian will do. But as Piyano doesn't take the initiative, Cynthia does.
“Why do you hesitate?” she asks, kicking off the ground up towards him. Her Stand flying at her back, then dashing past her towards him. Wings glowing with that same energy, ready to rend the air once more. So Piyano moves, dashing to his left. Which is what Cynthia'd been waiting for, his focus off her she dashes in, landing a flying right turning kick to the side of his head. Snapping his head aside and sending him straight towards her Stand, who swings its slash once more. But this time, Piyano does an unexpected maneuver to dodge.

“HRRAAAA!” he shouts, crossing his arms. And uses the MULTIFORM to split himself in two, the slash through the air passing between both halves of himself harmlessly.
“What?” Cynthia exclaims, narrowly dodging her own attack. Only for both halves of Piyano, unable to damage her Stand, both rush straight towards her instead. Swinging opposite fists at her head, forcing her to raise both arms to guard against the blow. Even with each half of the Namekian only half power, it's still more than enough to send her flying despite her guard. Smashing back down to the shattered ring as her Stand vanishes from the air, reappearing standing over her as both halves of Piyano remerge.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6120QOlsfU

“Kuh. D-Dragon Queen! Defend!” she says as she's pushing herself back up shakily to her feet. And without hesitation her Stand raises a foot and slams it down, shattering the ring completely.
“HRYOOOOOOOH!!” it bellows, kicking up a windstorm. Which grabs the shattered pieces of the ring, kicking up a sandstorm that fills the entire area within the barriers of the arena near-instantly. The two of them seemingly vanishing inside the storm of wind and earth. Even her ki signature vanishes entirely as your jaw drops.
“What?!” you exclaim, redoubling your focus. But, try as you might, you can't sense her or her Stand anywhere! “What the hell?”

“That blow must have landed harder than I thought, for her to pull out this move already.” Gohan says, you turning to him. And, as if sensing your gaze turns, then explains. “This is her big move, Sand Veil. Why she's confident enough to stand toe-to-toe with anyone, no matter the power gap. Her Stand allows it and herself to become virtually completely undetectable within a sandstorm.”
“Which means Piyano'll have to expend more energy with an Explosive Wave or powerful blast to clear it.” you mutter, Gohan nodding along.

“Exactly. And she knows this as well, which is why-” he starts, and from within the sandstorm you see Piyano crossing his arms, gathering his power. Clearly preparing to blow the sandstorm away, only for there to suddenly be a flash of his blood arcing through the air as both his legs are cut off at the knees. Clearly trying to break his concentration, to prevent him from unleashing his blast.
“GYAAAAAH!” he cries out in pain, falling out of the air as you feel his gathered power wane, but you immediately realize this is a bluff. He's not in as much pain as he's letting on, and not losing his energy as if his concentration was truly broken. You've heard a lot of agonized screams in your time, this one's not real. He's drawing her in, letting her think her attack stopped him, waiting for his moment. And as you watch, there! It's faint, like a shadow, but you see her Stand in the air, moving back down towards him to slash him again. He doesn't see it coming, Dragon Queen taking his right arm this time as he screams again. But then he crashes down, landing near where Cynthia was when this started. And then Piyano, having been waiting for this moment, unleashes his full power. “HRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

KABOOOOOOOOOM

His massive blast slams into the barriers simultaneously, obliterating the sandstorm entirely as the sudden attack catches Cynthia off-guard as well. Having thought his concentration broken, she wasn't ready for the blast and takes it full to the face with a cry. And as the blast ends, the light fading and smoke clearing, you see the aftermath. Piyano, in the middle of a massive crater, chest heaving as he struggles to re-catch his breath. Meanwhile Cynthia's down, coat in tatters and her Stand nowhere to be seen. With a groan Piyano regrows his legs, then his arm, pushing himself back up to his feet. Chest heaving as his body seemingly shrinks, losing his orange hue and returning to his darker blue-green. But Cynthia doesn't get up, the entire arena silent but for his panting breaths for several seconds.

“ONE! TWO! THREE!” the announcer shouts into his microphone, counting her down. “FOUR! FIVE!”
“No need for a count. She's out.” you say, but to your surprise, see her body start to tremble. Pushing herself up, rising up to her feet once more! No way, a blast like that, she's lucky to be alive, much less still fighting. But she still rises, managing to stand on her own two feet as the count reaches-

“NINE! But she's done it! Cynthia's back on her feet!” the announcer declares, the crowd cheering louder than ever. But you can see it. She's got nothing left, she's standing only through willpower now. One more hit will put her down for good, and she clearly knows it. But, as you look from her to Piyano, you see the absolute shock and disbelief on his face that she managed to get up at all. Clearly thinking his attack didn't work, that she has to be unstoppable. The doubt and fear creeping in, that he can't do this. Even though he's right on the cusp of victory, his foe's playing her last card. And it's working, he's clearly scared. Trembling before her, as she just won't go down.

“You fought well, Piyano. Stand proud. But this match is over.” she says to him, her voice perfectly level, controlled as one hand holds her side, resting her chin on the other. Despite having nothing left, being unable to continue actually fighting, she's relying on her intimidation to win this. And it could very well work.

But what do you do? Do you interfere? Or let this play out?
>Shout to Piyano she's bluffing, to finish this now
>Telepathically reach out to Piyano, tell him not to fall for her bluff and to take his hard-won victory

You can see it, he's going to surrender. He thinks his greatest shot failed, and now he's got nothing left. Not seeing the tremble in her body she's using everything she's got left to hide, his mind off of victory. And you can't have that.

“Piyano! What are you doing?” you think to him, shouting directly in his mind. “Don't let her recover, you can win this!”
“What? Who-?” he starts, but you interrupt him.
“Focus on the fight! Look at her!” you reply over his objections. “She's giving everything she's got to STAND! One more hit, that's all you need! She doesn't have the strength to get up again! One more hit, take her down and WIN!”

“Right!” he replies, clenching his fists. You can see the change in his body language the moment your words reach him, snap him out of his losing mentality and refocus him on all that matters: winning.
“I won't lose!” he shouts, bringing his right hand up to his forehead. Lightning crackling as he begins charging, putting everything he's got into one last attack. Cynthia, however, has no intentions of taking such an attack. She knows she can't run, can't evade it. And she can't regenerate like a Namekian. So, she sighs out, looking down at her feet a moment then back up to Piyano's face.
“I give up. You win.” she says, the entire stadium going silent. Piyano loses focus on the attack, the energy dissipating near-instantly. She then turns to the announcer, repeating herself. “I forfeit the match.”

Silence hangs, everyone staring, unmoving. Then the announcer's the first to recover, shouting loudly.

“In a surprising upset, Cynthia has forfeited the match! The winner is Piyano!” he declares, and the audience cheers. But as they do, you can feel the ripple of confusion through them, not understanding that Cynthia's actually unable to continue. Until she drops to a knee, Piyano trying to rush over. Taking one step only to trip, falling over as well. Immediately, from the archway a pair of beings rush in, administering beans to each of them. Restoring their strengths, letting both fighters stand. Cynthia walks over to Piyano, offering her hand.
“Well fought. I look forward to battling you again.” she says, the two shaking hands before walking away, back out of the arch side-by-side as the crowd continues to cheer, the arena quickly repairing itself once more. But as it does, you see Piccolo looking sideways at you, judgmentally.

“What an explosive match! And now, on to our next match!” the announcer continues, you turning to face him.
“What?” you ask him, raising a brow.
“You interfered.” he says, Gohan turning to you both, letting out a confused “Huh?” as he looks between you both.
“I didn't do anything. All I did was tell him the truth.” you reply, Piccolo letting out a “Hmph.” But he doesn't say anything else, turning back to the stage.

“You interfered? So, you do know telepathy.” Gohan says, his tone less worried and more curious. “What did you tell him?”
“Only the truth. That she was giving everything she had left just to stand, if he hit her one more time.” you tell him, watching a deep purple Majin woman walking out, bouncing out along with a short humanoid woman. But, as you're looking their way, something catches your attention from the corner of your eye. Turning your head, you see a silhouette hovering far in the air, watching the arena from a distance. You focus on Fu's distant energy, then reach out telepathically. Immediately connecting to his mind.

“Fu. What are you doing here?” you think to him, feeling Fu's immediate surprise. You see him turn, looking down over the crowd before seeing you.
“Karn? When-? How are you here?” he asks, you feeling a hint of panic in his tone.
“Helped Mechikabura with a problem, it's settled now.” you tell him, feeling his curiosity bloom. But he doesn't ask about that, you can almost feel him compartmentalizing it. “What are you doing?”

“Watching the fights, obviously. Scouting talent for future projects.” he says cheerily, excitedly. As if even the thought of what's going on excites him. “Cynthia's power's quite something, I thought for sure she was going to win. I have to talk to Piyano later too, see how he figured out she was bluffing. But that ice cold poker face she had, even I nearly believed it! She's certainly going to be one to watch.”
“Yeah, no need to ask Piyano. I told him.” you say, Fu's expression turning confused, then strangely blank.
“You told him?” he asks, voice losing its warmth. “You mean that was you seeing through her bluff, not him?”

“He saw it too, when I pointed it out. He was so wrapped up in his own head, he couldn't see what was right in front of his face.” you tell him, Fu looking at you blankly. So, you continue. “They're still learning. And what better way to learn than from someone with a lot more experience than you? That's a lesson he'll never forget.”
“You interfered with the fight now. So LATER, he won't fall for that kind of bluff again.” Fu says, as if trying to verbally walk through your reasoning. Expression softening as he considers it. “Taking away from the outcome now, to make him a better fighter later. I see...”

Silence hangs between you both through the link as you can feel him considering your words. As if he'd never considered your approach before, and is now reevaluating several things he'd taken for granted.

“You've given me... Quite a lot to consider, Karn.” Fu replies, you feeling a new determination rising in him. “Sometimes, the weak and young must be guided correctly, if we want them to reach their fullest potential. I'll take it to heart, Karn.”

And without another word, he's gone.

You stare at where he disappeared from, then turn your focus back to the arena for the fight. However, just as you do, realize a third being's suddenly appeared. Wearing an orange gi, looking like a scar-less version of Bardock.

“Dad? What are you doing here?” Gohan asks, both fighters looking up at Kakarot like he's some sort of mythical figure.
“Eehehehe. Well, I sensed a certain someone's here, and I came for the rematch.” he says, punching his palm. Turning his focus from his son to you. “And there you are, Karn. Let's go, you and me! Right now!”

You can feel the entire audience turn, all looking at you. Whispers pick up, everyone realizing who's in their midst. If you were an unknown before, after what you did to Conton City, everyone knows your name by now.

“Hmph. Well, looks like you've been called out.” Piccolo says quietly with a chuckle. “So, you gonna turn him down? Or get out there and show our students how it's done?”
“You son of a bitch.” you say quietly, smirking as you stand. Knowing without a doubt he's behind this guy showing up and challenging you. “Alright, I'll take you on.”
“Here. Before you go.” Gohan says, taking a small green bean out of his pocket, tossing it to you. Bringing your right hand to your forehead as you catch it with your left, you teleport directly in front of Kakarot, leaving the stands behind and bypassing the barrier. Bringing the bean to your mouth and eating it, feeling your power surging back. Your strength returns instantly, restoring your power and strength to full.

“Let's do this.” you tell him, the two of you sizing one another up. The crowd's cheers turn explosive, cheering louder for this fight than any you've heard yet. The two other fighters scramble away, rushing back out of the arena to find seats to watch this fight go down. And your fellow Saiyan starts stretching, bouncing on his toes and rolling his neck and shoulders. Completely relaxed, loosening up as he gets ready to face you once more. As he does, you realize this is the first time you've fought him where it wasn't a fight to the death. And, more importantly, realize you're actually looking forward to a fight with nothing on the line. No lives on the line, not your home or people, or others. Just two Saiyans about to throw down just to see who's better. You can feel your blood pumping, ready to go. You're going to actually enjoy this.

Good session GD. Getting to see how our newfound allies are getting along is always a treat, plus I always relish the chance to play Coach Karn. As for Goku...I'm sure he'd be willing to take this to the death if he's anything like his canon counterpart. Pic extremely related.
On that note, I'm willing to oblige him. Given what we know is on our plate, there's really no room for half-measures as far as our training goes. Gotta risk it for the biscuit.

>“Ace. So, you're him. Karn. Not gonna lie, was expecting you to be taller.” he says, you raising a brow at this.
Lol
> “Ineffective? Impotent? Counterproductive?” Future Chaya offers, trying to seem helpful as she takes digs at the man with a teasing grin.
Also lol.

>Ready to see what this human Stand wielder can really do?
I’m curious why everyone can see the Dragon Queen? Is she visible to all people normally? Or is it because the barrier around the arena allows audience to see what is visible only to Stand users and people who see a lot more than everyone else?
>>6410396
>Even her ki signature vanishes entirely as your jaw drops.
Very nice.
>6410484
>“You've given me... Quite a lot to consider, Karn.” Fu replies, you feeling a new determination rising in him. “Sometimes, the weak and young must be guided correctly, if we want them to reach their fullest potential. I'll take it to heart, Karn.”
Could this short conversation have a big consequences in the future? Events would go very differently if Karn and Fu did not talk here today?

>Turning his focus from his son to you. “And there you are, Karn. Let's go, you and me! Right now!”
Wow. It’s Goku. This is very exciting and awesome. Honestly such fight might be a perfect form of training before the battle with Granolah.
>Bringing the bean to your mouth and eating it, feeling your power surging back. Your strength returns instantly, restoring your power and strength to full.
Does it also replenishes the energy of Divine Dragon Force? I’m asking, because I’m curious if thanks to this, it would be ready for the time when Karn needs to fight Granolah. Just in case. I don’t want to use DDF for everything. Only use it when it’s really necessary. Though it is good to have it ready, just in case some insane trouble shows up. And obviously I don’t want to use it against Goku today.
>>6410486
>And that's it for this weekend, everyone enjoy this one?
Yes. Lots of fun. Watching the arena, seeing the city and more. It was all very interesting.
>Ready to battle none other than Goku himself?
I can’t wait. It will be great.
>How far do you think he's going to be willing to go,
I don’t know, but he is known for being able to unexpectedly surpass his limits, reach new heights when he seems to be in a seemingly losing situation(like Karn).. This fight might be of very high quality.
>and how far will you go to against him?
I do not want to use Divine Dragon Force against him.
>And once this battle's done, ready to return to your home and get back to preparing for Granolah?
Maybe. Possibly.
>Do you think this is the last interruption in your training, or do you think someone else'll be showing up to New Salda before the day of your fight with the last Cerelean?
I don’t know. Every time I think “okay, now it’s time train” something happens. I guess you can’t be sure during this arc.
> All this and more, next time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest!
Good.
>>6410583
>Might let you know WHICH Goku's stepped into the ring.
It’s the Ultra Instinct Goku. I’m like 99% convinced it is him.

Not currently.
Whaaaaaaat? Noooooo. Not the mysterious masked wizard offering power in exchange for a favor.
A very good question. OOC knowledge, but no. The Runes aren't inherently corruptive.
Perhaps. But what IS known, is once they're all gathered, the Extra stage opens. And who knows what lies beyond the gate there?
Yes and no. He gets along with Nail, who is trying to reach Piccolo's level of power.
DDF's reveals eventually will be quite interesting.
Yes, kind of. It's complicated where/when/how the Time Nest exists.
You have Tomitsu, and the younger twins have been working on learning it as well. And a certain someone may or may not have an emergency protocol called Fuse with Karn RIGHT FUCKING NOW EVERYTHING'S ON FIRE AND ABOUT TO BE DESTROYED!
The "I heard you were bigger" comments from Time Patrol to base form Karn, and Future Chaya's criticisms of the TP's training methods were fun.
Now THAT is an insightful question. However, the answer wouldn't be in seeing through the barrier, as Piyano clearly could see it coming in their battle.
Being able to disappear like that is a monstrously powerful ability. Especially when you can't sense someone who has ki charging up a big attack to take you down. Imagine how differently say Cell vs Vegeta would go if Cell couldn't sense Vegeta or his attack, or where it was coming from until the instant he fired it?
Absolutely. Up until here, Fu mainly liked setting up interesting fights between characters. He hasn't considered directly trying to make them BETTER before.
>>6410815
This isn't just ANY Goku. But you'll see soon enough.
No. DDF isn't able to join this fight, it's exhausted, overwhelmed by all the memories it's retained, and is trying to come to terms with everything. As well as recover from fighting The End directly.
Glad you enjoyed. Always fun to take a bit of time to explore and not fight for everything valued.
It could certainly be a fight of all time. Especially when you consider their last fight was on Chilli's planet, where UI was a HUGE problem.
Using DDF, if it can even be summoned, would no longer be fighting but either attempting murder or using LER's power to straight force him to surrender. Good luck trying to overcome Goku's desire to fight to make him surrender.
There's a lot going on, that's for sure.
>Ultra Instinct Goku
Which one? Because the particular Goku you're fighting, well... Let's just say he's already faced one of the biggest threats you've ever encountered of your timeline and actually killed him, and battled one you've not yet faced.
>>
>>6410985
>This isn't just ANY Goku. But you'll see soon enough.
I assumed it's the Goku we fought before when we stuffed him and UE Vegeta. It's not...it's not THE Goku, right?
>>
>>6410985
>And a certain someone may or may not have an emergency protocol called Fuse with Karn RIGHT FUCKING NOW EVERYTHING'S ON FIRE AND ABOUT TO BE DESTROYED!
I would suspect it could be Vegeta, but he does not have any means to do fusion. He can’t do Fusion Dance. Right? Or is it super easy, just watch Tomi and Tatsu do it once, and you can do it too.
In movie Goku and Vegeta needed some time to practice to pull it off against Broly. Trunks and Goten failed on first and second attempt which resulted in fat and skinny Gotenks.
It is more likely someone with access to Potara earrings. It could be Kars, but maybe it could be Freeza.
>You have Tomitsu, and the younger twins have been working on learning it as well.
So if Tatsu and Tomi become Tomitsu by Fusion Dance, then through Potara Earings they maybe would become Tatsumi. I wonder if it would be an interesting experience for them. You know if the person and personality created from Potara Fusion would be different than Tomitsu. They are so used to Tomitsu. It could be something new to them, to be different fusion than Tomitsu. I wonder what they would think about this experience.
>However, the answer wouldn't be in seeing through the barrier, as Piyano clearly could see it coming in their battle.
So it is a visible Stand. I was also thinking if all patrollers are trained in being able to perceive Stands.
>>6410985
>Which one? Because the particular Goku you're fighting, well... Let's just say he's already faced one of the biggest threats you've ever encountered of your timeline and actually killed him, and battled one you've not yet faced.
Could it be the one? Goku the protagonist of Dragon Ball? The one we watch in anime?
>>
>>6410985
Mechikabura fusing with Karn would go so insanely fucking hard.
Dark Demon Berserker Overgod: Karbura.
>>
>>6411996
there's the issue of the incredible powerlevel disparity, and considering the additions to the Beserker family tree in SCQ I don't know if it'd play nice with Potara
>>
>>6412027
>not just doing the fusion dance
>then using mechi's half to use time magic to stop the fusion from ending prematurely
>>
>>6412035
>the fusion dance
stopping you right there, its REQUIRED that the 2 fighters are synced in strength and coordination to do this correctly. We're still a flea compared to Mechi's full power, and him having to nerf himself that hard to fuse with us is massively inefficient. and while I doubt that Mechi's the type to sneeze at something as potent as fusion, I DO NOT believe he's ever done the dance in his entire life. But do you know who WOULD be an unorthodox,, yet sensible fusion partner who's likely to have that technique in his back pocket and has enough faith in Karn's ability to consider that kind of emergency protocol? Kars. And I know I doubted Potara but I completely forgot that Kefla operated just fine
>>
>>6412074
Oh ye of little faith. We'll grow stronger yet. We'll have gains yet. We'll become HUGE yet.

>fusing with kars
Look I know we hang out in front of dudes with our dick out a lot but we're not actually gay.
>>
>>6410989
You'll see.
>>6411316
Not King Vegeta, and emergency is not the time to try a Fusion Dance.
A very interesting question. Would even Tomitsu exist within this fusion, or would it be a surreal experience for everyone involved?
It is visible, and no it isn't something that can be trained. Hers is just very visible, as on the flipside even other Stands cannot track it during its Sand Veil. MAYBE Star Platinum could find it in stopped time, but that's a big maybe.
>>6411996
That is terrifying, conceptually.
>>6412027
Not for long. But perhaps just long enough?
>>6412035
Mechikabura wouldn't dare demean himself in such a way.
>>6412074
Yes, for Karn and Mechikabura to fuse would require Potara. Or, there's always another method, but that one's far more risky.
>>6412094
Karn is already huge, noticeably bigger than Mechikabura at full power who's only a little taller than Vegito which would be needed to get close to his power even suppressed. Fusion dance with Mechi is basically impossible.
Karn has done a lot worse than touch tips to save his family, people and world. Even tapped into the Abyssal Manus soul for power before, as poorly as that nearly went.
>>
>>6412098
>Mechikabura wouldn't dare demean himself in such a way.
And that's why he'll never be the winner he thinks he is. Take a page of Jack Hanma's book. Show your asshole if it means winning. Best character in Baki by the way. Not really but I am contractually obligated to say that.

>but that one's far more risky.
Well I wish it wasn't.

>Karn is already huge
The quest for HUGE never truly ends. Besides, can't Mechi just do some gigantification shit? It's not that hard to learn how to embiggen yourself. Seems like every Namekian can do it. As well as any two-bit wizard.

>Karn has done a lot worse than touch tips to save his family
We'd never hear the end of it from weird fangirls and boys on SpaceChan though. Get fucking fanmail through the SpacePostOffice hand drawn and weird. Sonichu ass fans.

>>6412101
He is a very proud ancient demon. Not nearly as ancient as Chronoa, but still old.
As for Jack, if that meant he actually GOT wins, it would be more impressive. But doing everything in your power and still getting humiliated ain't it.
Risky as in you might not be able to return to being yourself.
True. And he does have magic, but that's not real big, that's fake big like Namekians. Just getting bigger and not stronger to go with it.
You say that like it wouldn't spark a trillion fanfics from a certain female crowd and not just the unhinged CCs of the universe.
>>
>>6412784
>As for Jack, if that meant he actually GOT wins, it would be more impressive. But doing everything in your power and still getting humiliated ain't it.
Fuck it I'm not even gonna explain, just go read Baki.
>>
Less than 24 hours to go until the fight with John Dragonball begins, are you ready?

>>6412801
I don't even have time right now to do intermissions/epilogues most weeks, much less start a new series.
>>
Considering what Towa said when we told her about Granolah... Are gonna get a chance to wish for something for Karn?

I know you said once that nothing was stopping us from doing so before but initiative, but it would be cool if you incentivized the readers to come up with their own wish rather than have story, characters or even you directly give the wishes.

For example, could we wish for a skill? A technique? What about a mutation? Or even straight knowledge beamed into Karn's brain.

Nothing too crazy, wouldn't want to have to sacrifice years of Karn's lifespan like Granolah did.
>>
>>6413046
the problem with that is most of the players already know dragon ball inside and out and we could metagame for shit that wouldn't really make sense unless we were beaming the wish into Karn's mind in-universe. Even then I don't want someone to wish for something lame like immortality
>>
>>6413046
Would Karn make a wish for himself? Or would his wish be for his family?
>>6413051
Also true. A fine line between metagaming/minmaxing and playing IC with loads of OOC knowledge.
>>
>>6413051
I mean, obviously we can't use knowledge or logic Karn doesn't himself have, but I think that at this point of the quest, Karn is pretty knowledgeable about what can be found and is possible in this reality.

So, no metagaming, but we have options still. Granolah's own toolkit could serve as inspiration for a wish. There are more options in terms of skills, techniques and mutations we could wish for.

Henshin Breaker if we want for something more situational, it required a ritual of some kind anyway, so we couldn't just learn it without the wish anyway.
>>6413073
And GD, are you trying to say that you already have a plan for the wish? Something that Karn and his family can't get by themselves?
>>
>>6413185
wishing for power is for pussies, we'll learn the Henshin Breaker our damn self
>>
>>6413185
That's what I do enjoy about how anons' choices have shaped Karn. He does whatever he needs to in the moment to win, but doesn't abuse gimmicks or tricks to cheat himself to being stronger. Once he unlocked DDF's Wish, if Karn used wishes for power would have copied the majin Time Patroller's insane regeneration, or that his basic Super Saiyan power boosted him as much as Freeza's Golden form. Karn doesn't use wishes to "cheat" himself out of getting stronger with training and battle.
What I am saying is, with Karn being who he is, if granted a wish he would wish for something for his family, not himself.
>>6413194
Not something you can learn, so far only one being's copied it without the needed rituals. But now we know why he can pull off such crazy move-stealing bullshit.
>>
>>6412994
>Less than 24 hours to go until the fight with John Dragonball begins, are you ready?
100% ready.
>>6413046
>For example, could we wish for a skill? A technique? What about a mutation? Or even straight knowledge beamed into Karn's brain.
Very tempting.
>>
>>6412098
>A very interesting question. Would even Tomitsu exist within this fusion, or would it be a surreal experience for everyone involved?
Or perhaps Tomitsu would become Tatsumi (a different personality) under the influence of Potara Fusion. It would be surreal experience. After the end of fusion Tatsu, Tomi and Tomitsu would remember being Tatsumi. It would a strange memory for them.
>>
>>6413342
Stupid question but I gotta get it out before the session starts.
If Tatsu and Tomi each had their own Stand, would Tomitsu get two Stands or would they get their own unique Stand?
Is Tomitsu a Stand?

>If Tatsu and Tomi each had their own Stand, would Tomitsu get two Stands or would they get their own unique Stand?
Interesting question. If Okira and Caulifa used Potara Earings would their Stands merge too?

Okira’s Stand: 「Imagine Dragon」
Caulifla’s Stand: 「Divine Triumph Requiem」
Would this result in:
> 「Imagine Divine Dragon Triumph Requiem」?
That’s a long name. Maybe the name could be shorter for the merged Stand like 「Imagine Dragon Triumph」 or something similar.

Soon

Are you sure?
>>6413459
Would definitely be an experience.
>>6413469
>>6413520
Two beings with Stands merging would yes merge the Stands, but the resulting fusion wouldn't necessarily be derivative of either. Not in powers or appearance, but create an entirely NEW Stand.

>Are you sure?
y-yes

It's TIME!
>>6413586

>>6413342
I see, Karn will only accept non-innate power ups if he HAS to.

So, the Time Stop Immunity, the Saiyan God Ritual, and wishing for LER's Fate Manipulation were exceptions.

And seeing as you didn't share any potential family wishes, I would like to make a suggestion if you don't mind: let's wish for enhanced learning for the whole family, not actively granting it to every new family member addition though, I feel like the wish would fail if we asked for it to extend to our whole bloodline.

That way, family members like Chilli and Broly can more easily progress in their efforts for mastery, and those like Meloka Wolbach will have an easier time learning stupid advanced subjects. What do you think?
