Alright, let's go!” he says, the stage cracking beneath his lead foot as his weight shifts forward, and he explodes towards you. Covering the distance in a split-second, starting with a heavy right hand. He's fast, and even holding back he's still stronger than you are currently. But you plant your feet, and instead of blocking his strike, use your Djem So to deflect his fist out just slightly over your left shoulder as you twist. Goku's eyes widen in surprise as you put your full weight behind your right counter, fist slamming into his sternum and launching him back.“HRRAAA!” you roar as your fist lands true, knocking him into a backflip, sliding to a stop as you leap towards him. Goku plants his feet, looking up to see your charge as you draw your right back in a mirror of his strike. He smirks, drawing his own right back, ready to meet you fist-to-fist. But you don't take the challenge, instead feinting with the right into a clockwise Su Ma spin around his punch. Twisting and throwing instead a right elbow at his head, but he's ready. Pulling his arm back, meeting you elbow to elbow. “Tch!”“Heh, nice moves.” he says, and you shove off one another. Launching you backwards, landing in a slide as you retake your fighting stance as Goku launches himself back towards you. You throw out a left jab as he closes in followed by a right cross, Goku slipping the jab and blocking your fist with his left forearm then throwing a right of his own that you block with your right forearm before going for a right side kick, Goku raising a leg and blocking the kick with it, knocked sliding back by the force of your blow before retaking his stance. “You're a lot better than I was expecting. This is gonna be fun!”“You're pretty good yourself.” you reply, retaking your own stance with a smirk.“How about we kick it up a notch?” he asks, suddenly dashing forward. And suddenly freezes in air, leaving an Afterimage behind. In a second, more than a dozen Goku's are shimmering in the air around you, but you don't even bother looking at them. Instead you close your eyes, and try to focus on his energy. However, the moment your eyes shut, your body moves. So you immediately leap back and away, the blast of energy he was charging up on the underside of his boot narrowly missing you before he rolls and flips up out of the hole, landing on the other side as you touch down. But this time he presses the attack, dashing in with a wide left hand. You step into the punch, bracing yourself as you catch his attack, forearm to forearm and deflect it out past your head. Stepping into the blow with a left straight, turning your hips as you deliver the punishing counter. Stopping his return assault cold as you tee off on him. Landing well over a dozen heavy blows to his head and chest, left cross, right uppercut, left hammerfist into a right elbow into left shovel hook to the ribs. Landing a punishing barrage of blows before he recomposes himself, and gets his arms up defensively.“Hrrraaa! Haaaa! Hryaa!” you growl as you keep up the pressure, battering his guard. Your style, something he's unfamiliar with is something he's not fully prepared to guard. Each blow tearing his guard back and forth, one way then another as your power shots rock his defense. But as you put on the pressure he adapts, quickly changing his guarding to stop getting torn apart by your blows, but meeting their force and stopping them each time. Not letting you build momentum, to keep up your attack he starts throwing his own counter shots in as well. The first nearly catches you, catching you completely off guard. The only reason his pull counter doesn't take your head off is a last-second lean, narrowly avoiding his blow. It only grazing you, as you retaliate with a blow he blocks as well. The barrier between Super Saiyan and Berserker nonexistent. Interesting, even Broly's Super Saiyan still had yellow hair.” he says, then dashes in. You meet his charge head-on this time, fist against fist. You duck under it, retaliating with a left uppercut that he back-flips away from, landing on his hands then flipping back again over onto his hands. And before he pulls back you fire a short uppercut under his outstretched arm to his own ribs. Knocking him back as he doubles over himself, clutching his side. “Kuh!”“Is that all you've got?” you ask, smirking as you don't bother following up with your attack. Instead, you gesture for him to come back at you. To see if he can find a way through your defenses, through your armored ki. And you see his eyes widen in shock, jaw dropping slightly at the taunt he clearly wasn't expecting.“Ah-! H-Hey! I'll show you!” he exclaims, divine aura blazing as he charges in, landing a powerful flying right to your chest. But his blow doesn't so much as budge you, Goku looking up at you in surprise. Watching yourself, guard raised high only for him to teleport with Instant Transmission right under you, firing the beam point-blank. Then the flash of Foresight ends, and you don't lower your guard. Instead you dig deep, drawing out power to match his Blue form's strength with a roar as he teleports right in front of you.“HRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, emerald aura blazing wildly as your power spikes. Power surging higher as he thrusts both arms through the storm of energy your transformation unleashes.“HAAAAAAAAA!” he roars, your emerald and his azure divine energies clashing. His attack detonating against your energy, kicking up a massive cloud of smoke and dust as the arena shatters beneath you. Sending a shock wave out, catching his jaw and sending him tumbling until he crashes into the barrier. As he tumbled you chased him down, and as he bounces off the barrier you're right there. Seeing the sudden shock in his eyes as you land a devastating right straight to his jaw. Snapping his head back, knocking him back into and bouncing off the barrier once more. “HAAAAAAA!!”As Goku's bounced off the barrier once more you spin, catching him with a left lariat to the neck. You have the size and power advantage like this over him, but he clearly has just enough speed to offset your advantages. Just fast enough to dodge your attacks, but not enough to land a blow himself. The two of you, at least like this, are seemingly evenly matched.But what do you do? Your relentless assault turning every one of his strikes against you into either a Djem So counter, or a Su Ma dodge and counter, coming at him from a different angle. Opening your eyes, you can see the frustration in his eyes as he can't predict which you'll do. Landing one of your heavy shots for every few dozen you throw, while he only lands one for every three or four of your own that hit, you're in the lead. Even using the Demon Seal was just to level the playing field with exceptionally powerful beings he couldn't actually compete against on his own. And even look at Karn's first wish with Divine Dragon Force, that was a "No other options" decision. LER is a threat he CANNOT beat on his own, with his normal powers and abilities. Kind of shaped how he views the Wish ability moving forward, as a tool of last resort when the chips are down and there's no other options. As much for Karn as it did for you all the players.

Beyond it being neat from a lore perspective, it's incredibly satisfying to see the broader results of our actions the last 20+ years in-character. Not to mention given Karn's responsibilities, self imposed or otherwise, it often leads to making some of the harder and more consequential choices in the quest.>Or what you think are more underappreciated moments/arcs/etc from the story?Chilli's emotional and narrative arc. This is probably me being biased, but it's hard to read about somebody being forced to reconcile his conflicting feelings about his father from such a young age and how that colors him as an adult and not get a little misty eyed. The drama between our twins also stands stands out, as it's something a lot of Shonen media wouldn't even consider happening, much less actually explore. Even though they're on much better terms now, I imagine they all still have some lingering feelings in regards to that.>Something that caught you by surprise, that you genuinely have enjoyed with SCQ.The whole media mash-up setting. I've said it before, but more often than not that sort of thing reeks of the same powerscaling mashing-action-figures-together bullshit that dominates online fandoms now. However, I think you manage to pull it off because you're chiefly concerned with writing STORIES where these characters interact or even just do their own thing in this new combined setting. I think that alone breathes so much life into what could just as easily be another example of trite and amateurish fanfiction that's become almost synonymous with Dragon Ball these days.>And who do you feel deserves more spotlight? That bad blood spilling over is clearly a weak point in regards to the peace we fought so hard to establish and maintain, hence why bad actors keep fucking targeting it. I'm also keen to see more of the Covenant remnants (no not those ones) as I mentioned earlier in the thread, what's left of Sangheilios and the Jiralhanae refugees in particular. Sidenote, we need to find our gravity hammer and see about upgrading it. It's too useful not to.
I have two ideas for the wish.First, we could wish for a Hyperbolic Time Chamber WITHOUT the accelerated time effect, just the insane environmental training conditions. It is my hope that by forgoing the 1 year in=1day outside we can lift the usage restrictions. Then again, Bulma in canon apparently helped reconstruct the Time Chamber, which might've been the reason Vegeta managed to enter it a third time, so we could probably also just wish to remove the limit?Second, similar to Guru recommending us to seek Pybara, we could probably wish for a new master to learn under, maybe someone who could teach Jiren's Instinctive Efficient Energy Control? According to Vegeta in Super Hero, it seems the difference in power level between Goku, Vegeta, Frieza and Jiren during the ToP wasn't that big, Jiren was simply on another level of casual and instinctive energy control. Remember Goku vs the Ginyu Force? Goku only using the minimum necessary amount of power at the last moment was kind of like that, but it wasn't instinctive. Goku's Relaxed Super Saiyan was also kind of like that.... Honestly, I feel like Goku should've been the one to realize this about Jiren's strength, he's the one who pioneered similar skills in Z.

It's nice to triumph over tricky enemies that our powerlevel alone won't guarantee the win. In general, the most recent moment is Chaya being able to show off the fruits of her training in the Tournament of Power and level up to the big boys table. I used to be worried that Chaya and Future Chaya would end up too similar or worse, have the present Chaya end up irrelevant. I'm very glad she didn't turn into a fusion merchant like Kid Trunks (no offense, Tatsu & Tomi).>Or what you think are more underappreciated moments/arcs/etc from the story?I'm glad you've addressed Meloka's lack of direction when it comes to greater strength. It's been in the background but she seems to struggle with keeping up to Karn. And her greatest motivation for keeping her strength up is to stand side by side with her husband and protect her family, so I'm sure it hurts her heart seeing him and the older children soar the sky while she's the runt still struggling to take off. They're more able to protect themselves than she can protect them and I'm sure that really bites. The sidekick syndrome is real, but she'll need a thorough examination of who she is to push through to the next level. The path of Gods is about change, after all.
