Welcome to QUEST ART GENERAL, a quest for showcasing the art of your quest and its characters! Players of all skill levels are welcome!Quest mechanics:1. Don't be a spamshit. Multiple posts are fine but keep it below Souv level.2: You are free to draw/post work of others' characters, but no begging.3. Keep it SFW. This is a blue board. If you feel the need for otherwise, link it in the thread so it doesn't get nuked.4. No dramafagging/vendettafagging, or blatant shitting on others' art. Again, this is a quest to draw and vibe about art, /qst/ OCs, and their respective lore.5. If someone does give you fanart of your quest/character, be sure to thank that anon for their hard work as soon as you can, it's just common courtesy :)Drawing Resources:https://pastebin.com/DbyjxmfdLOOMIS:> https://alexhays.com/loomis/Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain (user recommended):> https://www.drawright.com/Animation resources:> http://www.theanimatorssurvivalkit.com/Iterative Drawing - The Fastest Way to Improve:> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0ufz75UvHsHow to Draw Interesting Poses:> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1nxf5KQ2JsAnatomy Quick Tips: Hands:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzl3eaxAJpoPainting like a Sculptor:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zC3OxonJcXQBasic Drawing for Digital Painters (Shape Control):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyu-bbWkGTUHow to Draw Hair:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHewz3JbKrQUser-recommended art channels:https://www.youtube.com/@Sycrahttps://www.youtube.com/@sinixdesignDisclaimer: I have not updated the pastebin/resources in a long, long, loooooooooong time, but, if anyone has anything they'd consider helpful/worthwhile, feel free to suggest it.
Workshopping character designs
This is my favorite. Quest is Meguca Royale
Good to see these threads again, I'm not even an QM but it's good to see /qst/ art where /qst/ can see it instead of some closed discord that demands you hand over your biometric data.
>>6414463Left guy looks baller as hell, and I like the troll(?) in the middle too. Are the three of them friends?
I know it's self-fellating to be the OP and make posts but it's free real estate.
Based art thread! Doing cell shaded stuff in vanguard is way easier than the animations/etc I did for previous quests.
Painting of an owl! New thread goes live tonight as soon as I get home
>>6414490Three possible designs for the same character. Trying to get a nonhuman outsider savage look (Conan) without being pure monster or unlikable to draw.
Requesting blue space monkey gang bang
Commission I had done for Pokemon Trainer Quest.Hopefully, when I get some more money, I can get some more pieces commissioned.
>>6414539>trying to draw a conan-like charactermaybe start by not making them all look like stringbeans
>>6414435Made this for a discord 'contest', but I figured why not let /qst/ try?Basically, the current theme is to draw your QOC in a school or boy/girl scout uniform, and the one with the most replies to the picture gets crowned winner... and gets to choose the theme for the next Combat Zone.
>>6414552
This is Magda Pickett, she was raised in a Christian prepper-cult, and when the end of the world came, they adjusted poorly and have since become a dangerous band of fanatical marauders, with motivations and beliefs that are still mostly a mystery though the current 'episode' will be elucidating their whole deal pretty soon. This was the first piece of art of one of my characters I've had posted by a player in one of my quests - which, btw, thank you so much Indonesian Gentleman, they said it was commissioned from you and I recognized the style! It's really fantastic! Do you guys remember the first time someone had art made of one of your characters, or did their own take on one and posted it? Can I see? Or if you have illustrated another QM's character(s) in your own style, what made you want to? Do you still have them to post? Let's be nostalgic.
Wish I could draw
>>6414681What would you draw?
>>6414699My favourite characters putting yours in a headlock, probably
Only tangentially related to this image, but I got home and finally put that second thread up. Drawing's of Ophelia, one of the PCs in my quest.
>>6414681Drawing is a common human expression, cavemen did it. You can draw and you can take as long as you want until you like it
Art of Ophelia>>6414523OH shit-- you're doing studies now!!!I look forward to your gains.>>6414506I love these robots they look so badass>>6414465Very blessed that you have plenty of talented artists in your thread>>6414679I like this rendition of Magda and the attention to detail.>>6414702AHAHAHAHA I recognize this character AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHALovely work and thanks again!!!
Oh shit, the QAG's back! I might actually contribute this time--it's been so long! >>6414463I like the leftmost guy the most. Guy looks like he doesn't take any flack from anybody.>>6414501Holy crap, is this on an actual canvas, or is it digital still?>>6414604Love the deets on the background here, anon, and the jacket looks bitchin too!>>6414645I might try this out, actually! Decent practice at the very least...>>6414679Yea IG's kind of an institution. Truly a wizard. As for some of my first fanart, I think it was a drawing in Bones Quest. I was already pretty gobstruck when someone decided to draw me something, but once I realized who made it I kinda freaked out... picrel.>>6414702The skirmishes have been crazy great for art. Glad people are willing and able to throw some stuff together!
>>6414829Also in the spirit of arting here's something I drew for Low Rung
>TEAM COOL GRUNT would like to battle!Totally not the villains! They are hiring. Must meet the following requirements:>be male>be cool>and a nice pompadour! At Boguemon:D Quest. Also accepting monsters design.>>6414702>>6414825Spelldivers is awesome.
>>6414523Your bird study motivated me to do a bird study>>6414829It was made in digital, but I used a canvas overlay and lots of texture brushes to make it look like it was traditional artwork. I should try doing some of these more-realistic portraits again...>that artGetting fanart is BASED, but I like this one a lot for the amount of soul it has.>>6414830You're getting better at art, and it shows!!! Whatever you're doing, keep it up!!!
>>6414829AGHHH JUMPSCARE HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO MEAnyway... I've still been drawing for Drowned Quest Redux! Largely in the form of either moderately lewd comics (not posting here) or art for the ongoing repost on Royal Road. Here's the cover for Volume 3 (= Threads 10 - 15)!
>>6414829Kitfox Crimson does excellent work, would 100% recommend commissioning him. He's Australian as well, so the exchange rate is very favorable a lot of the time.
>>6414648NOOOO this is too accurate, I seethe uncontrollably argh nooo
>>6414648>>6415021my bouncy castle looks like this, you do not dare visit my special INSIDE PLACE
>>6414954At the risk of sounding sappy and overly-sentimental, yours was one of the first fanarts I ever got and it really left me feeling like I had 'made it', y'know? Fanart's magical like that. Really grateful you did that for me!>>6414954Can recommend reading on Royal Road. What a frickin journey, man.>>6414909Is it better to submit designs on /i/ or the /qst/ thread? Also is there any guidelines for monster designs, or? Seems pretty lively!>>6415001Good to know--I've been trying to draw my own shit lately, but I've commissioned some questies in the past too! Here's some jerks who haven't appeared in a quest yet that IG did for me. Really reasonable prices and very speedy, too! Definitely recommend!
>>6415230>Is it better to submit designs on /i/ or the /qst/ thread? On /i/ threads take more time to be archived and most drawanons are posting there, but you can post on /qst/ if you prefer.>Also is there any guidelines for monster designsYou are free and welcome to follow your heart! But i must admit the smaller ones are easier to show up in the comic.I can't find some threads with just tripcodes. I suppose yours is already archived? I couldnt also find Meguca Royale. But we do have a nice recommendation thread here.
>>6415312Yea, most old quests end up on the suptg archive--they have a search function and stuff on there too that you can plug QM Handles and Quest Names and stuff.
I'd like to give a big shoutout of appreciation to the prolific drawfag (aka goatpirate) who makes sketches for Monster Girl Facility, Low Rung Researcher and the skirms. It's always a pleasure to see his drawings and they greatly brighten up any thread.
>>6415331Oh shit, I'll raise a toast to that! Goatpirate's the GOAT! Love their interpretations of the Dark Quest Crew and the other doodles they do!
daughter
>>6415383Oh hey, it's the gal from the new phone quest! Eager to see where that goes
>>6415393im glad :) hopefully i do ok
>>6414501That's okay, more reason to make a new /qag/ when image limit is hit.The board could use more activity anyway.

>>6414916Awesome cassowary! Insanely impressive digital painting, genuinely looks photorealistic at first glance. Here's the more realistic cassowary colors on the Boltrunner I drew for spelldivers
aah i see you guys actually went ahead and made the thread, i´ll have to keep an eye out for cool stuff.this place will be perfect for when i finally finish the fanart for HeadQM´s quest
I'm correcting some of the neck textures on my cassowary>>6415537Did I mention I like your bird art? Your boltrunner looks extremely menacing with the lightning behind it.>looks photorealisticThanks man-- I did use a very close-up reference, but I just got back into one of my first digital studies in a long while; so I'm quite pleased with the end result!!!
>>6415580FORGOT PIC
>>6414645Here's my lil' entry. They ain't in any quest yet, but one thing's for sure: Loxxie and Roxxie are gals you steer clear of at school...
>>6415828Holy fuck
>>6415828*Looking at Loxxie and Roxxie while holding Rezalith and TT plushies under my arms* "I love you in every universe."
Made for Vanguard quest of ObserverQM some days ago, alongside others.
Reposting my Character from Spelldivers
I've been going heavily into inking lately because I read some manga made by trad artists who were really good... it is a devilish medium but still really fun :)>>6415628>>6415629I like the colored one the best. The second one has a good angle, but the first has a very soulful je ne sais quoi about it... I think it's in the composition and warm colors.>>6415828Very shoujo... I keked very hard at the textlines.>>6415923Hey!!! I've seen your art in the Vanguard thread-- keep it up!!! I really liked all the insignia patches you made as well!!!>>6415976Neat pixelart!!! I don't think I've seen a lot of your art outside the skirm threads, but hope to see more of your cool pixel art!!!
Nice to see another QAG again. Here's some old art for an idea I had of a spin-off quest for a character from one of DemBonez's quests, Vivian.
>>6415828>They ain't in any quest yet>yetKnowing spoilers I will still go right into the confession scene.
>>6415582I had to check a few times to see if this was a photo or something. Holy SHIT, anon! Looks incredible!>>6415628>>6415629Also no clue what these are for, but nicely done here too. Like what you managed to do with the second one with limited colors!>>6415840Don't do it man they're rascals through-and-through>>6415873On one hand I'm flattered but on the other hand you might wanna watch out which girls you're attracted to, my brother>>6415923Would love to see you put out more. It's been a real treat seeing what people have put out in Vanguard--the models by Observer, the character drawings, the peripherals like this... top-notch, really!>>6415976Same with this! Alaryck's looking distinct with that dithering!>>6415980What can I say, I'm a sucker for the dating sim aesthetic.>>6415985Also holy shit, this takes me back! You really made her a cutie-pie, anon. Maybe some day, right?>>6415986FOOLISHNESSIn the interest of promoting more discussion... (not that the pics aren't awesome, of course), here's a few questions for the general:>What's a general tip you'd like to share about drawing for the rest of us?>What got you into drawing/art in the first place?>What do you want to improve in?
>>6414645
>>6415980thanks fishwife, nice to see you are still on the art journey
>>6414648
>>6416050KEK
>>6416011NTA but i'm doing it, if correction be needed so be it
>>6416050kek huge L for banana boy
I'd rather not just dump older stuff here if I can help it but I never got enough dopamine from doing this.
>>6416133I quite liked it, you have a lot of great character designs. I also am really bad at drawing anything sexually suggestive or risque, drawing "appealing" characters in that way is quite a unique challenge. I don't think it belongs on /qst/ very much but as a sprinkling in a larger work it's alright and acts as a fun little "bonus".
What exactly would this thread say counts as 'art'?
>>6416173Creative spasms of histrionic personality types utilizing direct input of intent upon a medium.
>>6416177I meant more in the sense of to what extent you would consider something to be art. Is a map an art? Is a symbol graphic an art? At what point does it stop being "quest art"?
>>6416179Even though maps and icons tend to be made for a utilitarian purpose if it's made for a quest I'd still consider it a form of expression as well as communication.Though there's no need to overthink it philosophically, if somebody made it, then it's good for posting.
>>6416173You thinking of pushing the limits? Or are you just philosophising? I would say that any drawing that represents in game characters, objects or events represents quest art
>>6416184I was going to post some sketching of a map I had done in my attempts to get something of a world shape for my quest, but apparently it has too many pixels for 4chan.
>>6415980Here's the other character I was thinking of for spelldivers. Doesn't have a proper name yet.>>6416011I'm trying to do more matte colored works with dithering>>6415628>>6415629Really nice linework and texturing>>6415331goat cooks>>6415923That's a squat lad right there
>>6416196I also drew this in a 32x32
>>6416027Ayy, the prince is back!
I heard y'all like Anya.
>>6416192You could export it at a lower resolution if it'd still be legible like that!It sounds cool, I think it'd fit the art thread just fine.
>>6416050My sides!
>>6416133This goes hard
>>6415980Thanks, I will.>>6416011I have plans to make more, don't worry. At the moment, I am occupied with making other images not connected to the quest. They should be out of the way soon enough. Making them does help me refresh my mind a bit, so I can think about how to approach the drawings/scribbles on paper I made for the new images of the Vanguard quest.I am also giving myself a roadmap, as I did in past quests; the method has kept me somewhat focused. The only problem is that I want to do far more than I ever did before; I have other quests in my mind, too. Perhaps a tad too ambitious.>>6416196No lightweight indeed.I like your mage, I also did someone with a growing flower in its eye, funnily enough, in the past.
>>6415537Why does this vauge image of a bird have a threatening aura?
>>6416339The official one from the thread is somehow even scarier... He is going to fukcingg GET YOU...
>>6414435hi. im here to start a quest. came to this thread and i notice a lot of creative folks here. i'm here to test my post results; as i dont know what the coordinate options are. that said, i've created a system to overlay a system to take an image and wrap it around a plot point vibe. . i'll take a random saved image and apply an green erie tint to it. that said, i can share the git, if any are interested, when i finish improvements. here is my random image, tinted with emergency feel. qrd on the coordinates? in the post thing? also the dice, please.
>>6416602Coordinates? Read the sticky, bub, it's the top thread.
Rolled 76 + 1 (1d100 + 1)>>6416602For dice write dice+1d100 on the options field. You can switch the 100 for whatever number you want and add +1 (NOSPACES) If you want to simulate modifiers. Hope this helps a bit and you stick around. Also what do you mean with coordinates??
>>6416608>>6416605dice: i still dont get it. you rolled 76, so you rolled 2 die. what does 1 d 100 + 1 do?1 ==d ==100==+1 ==????, respectively.coordinates. when starting a thread, i see an area to inter a number. DRAW, yjrn hieght n width. may be a chanX thing. i get the colors. i think i'm so used to white text that i will stick to classic stuff: no colors; keep it simple. i'm simple folk.lets try a welcome fren tint. random image. sfw
>>64166161 for quantity D for die/dice 100 for sides+1 for modifier So he rolled a single, one, die that was 100 sided, with a +1 bonus Follow the format he described when writing a post, put it in the options field, between the name field and the text box. And again, check out the sticky thread at the top of the catalogue, it should be helpful! I don't know what area you are talking about as far as a place to enter a number; could you post a screenshot with that field/'area' highlighted or circled?
>>6416616You wouldn't happen to be the ESL anon from a while back that wanted to use AI to run a thread but then flaked really quickly, would you? >zozzgenerator I bailed on that thread when it was clear the text was AI generated, but was kinda sad that the QM just vanished - whether that was you or actually someone else entirely. All he needed to do was knuckle down on writing and using a decent translation software.
>>6416616The draw functions allow for quick, simple drawings to be made. See something like this simple animal, no colors, and easy. You can make something better if you have the time, but the draw function is always there if you want.
I can't figure out what part of my post is spam literally screw this website GGGRAAHAHHHHHHH>>6416011>>What's a general tip you'd like to share about drawing for the rest of us?Don't be afraid to try new things-- new mediums, brushes, techniques, styles. It's what keeps art fun :)>>What got you into drawing/art in the first place? My perma-hiatused quest. And, unironically, soj, who pretty much got the ball rolling for me to start doing actual, concentrated studies.I wanted to draw my characters and bring them to life as well as possible.>>What do you want to improve in?Dynamic composition/narrative storytelling/traditional mediums>>6415985Would read dive quest-- I like the design of the ship btw!!!>>6416028Yep... I don't post my art as much around here, but I'm still going-- glad to see the Prince back in action kek>>6416133This is very fluid animation>>6416196I really like the design of this guy. The flowers growing out of him are indeed a nice touch.>6416633100% tegaki is based. You can do quite a bit with it if you're handy-- just like any art medium, you have to practice with it a lot!!!
>>6416011>What's a general tip you'd like to share about drawing for the rest of us?Try to have fun! Don't get too wrapped up in comparing yourself to others. If you make it work for yourself, you won't wanna draw/paint/model/whatever else. The only way to improve is to do what you're trying to get better at, and the only thing that'll get you to do that is to actually enjoy your hobby. Improvement should ultimately be a secondary priority— having a good time comes first.>What got you into drawing/art in the first place?Ran in dnd circles in middle and highschool with art people who drew all their characters and insisted I do the same, even if my skills were... lacking at the time. I felt angst about it for a while, but I'm exceedingly grateful in retrospect to have been surrounded by cool people who helped me pick up a cool hobby. For some people, this board has and will serve a similar function, which is always nice to see >What do you want to improve in?Honestly? I'm pretty happy. I know there are many things I CAN improve in, especially when it comes to anatomy, perspective, and compelling line art, but I find myself relatively happy with where I am now and only really do studies as a fun challenge to see if I can. Ironically, I think this mindset has actually made me improve significantly faster than I did while I was actively working to get better and felt insecure about how my stuff looked. Ultimately, my takeaway from drawing for the better part of a decade has been that art is a hobby, and your primary focus should be enjoyment and fulfillment, just like video games or reading or writing or any other hobby. Getting better is nice and all, but I'd rather have fun doodling stick figures than be miserable making a masterwork.
>>6416340They're not so bad once you get to know them :)
>>6416625no, not that anon. i actually tell ai no generation of fiction or story. or even examples. i do use ai to write a bash script. for the colors to images. you wouldnt have that expired link? The hieght width thing is probable a 4chanX thing. i'll leave it alone for now.>>6416633oh. so its just draw stuff. Noted.>>6416623thanks..
Here's one I did for my character in Spelldivers (she's not normally like this).
>>6416879very nice. I don't like the bun though in the hair, and if she is wearing gloves--white--non the less, to drink red wine. Money is not the concern here. She's lonely, but hat bottle should be a Chavel Blanc. I wonder, if we can colaborate on a story that is brewing. We need pictures to show our characters' faces. Right, now, I have a pixie that appeared in the story. What the heck is a pixie? Pixie needs a face. For a weary walker in the Nevada dessert that juat survived not one but two happenings, a pixie needs to be something tangible: cast a shadow, and sometimes; the pixie dust has an unpleasant to curious odor.
Preferences on color? Which one do you think works better?
>>6417001I think your instinct was correct on the color white, it contrasts better and I think kind of implies this lifetime of living in a cave or in darkness.
>>6417003Holy instant response and hard readI agree I like the white/albino look more, I just feel like my quests have too many "white" characters and I was kinda going inbetween of the troll and lizardman look. I still cannot draw this guy to any degree of quality or to my own satisfaction, but I appreciate the feedback.
>>6417004Go with a light blue-grey, if you think you've done too much white.
>>6417005It's alright
>>6417004>>6417006I think it's cool, reminds me of an olm and other cave amphibians. If you wanted to get away from the white you could let the guy have a camouflage, like anoles maybe where he can alternate between two or three colors depending on temper and environment? Then he gets to keep the clean base look but he isn't really another 'white character'. insert 'joke about DEI being over so you can have all the white characters you like' here
>>6417001Make him a human instead
>>6417006This is the best color scheme.
>>6417006>>6417074I'm with this anon--makes him 'pop' more while still looking pale. Not bad!>>6416879We LOVE Cynthia, folks! Especially Hestri. Hestri likes her a lot. :)>>6416687I'm with you there on having fun. I never would've pushed myself to get any better at drawing without some silly drawing ideas, and half the fun of Dark Quest has been trying to expand my expression repertoire more in the absence of visible bodies and such.>>6416683This is good advice too--I'm way too comfy with just drawing in Paint.net... would be fun to try something new! Also dyzzaauum Mernard be looking CHISELED>>6416633This too. Tegaki's surprisingly robust>>6416133God that animation's CRISP
>>6414465Wow, the detail is insane in this one, and the lines are super confident while still making them look 3-dimensional.>>6414506Very consistent high-quality mechs from ObserverQM. Can scarcely fathom how he gets the lighting so clean on these.>>6414909Kek, very readable for such a small sprite.>>6415383Truly adorable.>>6415628Also truly adorable; I like the color contrast a lot.>>6415629Great use of negative space, and an interesting way to do shading.>>6415985Very clean; this could come straight out of an indie game.>>6415828(This one could come out of a different kind of indie game).>>6416196Creepy design and name (I don't like the way the tree is looking at me).
This is one of the only things I've drawn, I did it for a visual novel project I was helping a friend with. I had more fun than I thought I would doing it. It makes me want to do more but I struggle to find the time to practice or make the bigger projects I want.
>>6416898I haven't yet deigned to render Cynthia so far removed from her usual uptightness... maybe someday I will. Chavel Blanc does exude a kind of luxuriousness that fits her character well. You've got a strange way with words, sir. I would whip up a pixie for you, but it sounds like her creator already has one in the works. I do feel the itch to make some fanart, though.
>>6417159I feel this tree
>>6417001Maybe with pale green skin, like pic rel?>>6416011>>6416687>>6416683>What's a general tip you'd like to share about drawing for the rest of us?I think Hierophant is right in saying that having fun is the first priority, and trying new things is a part of that. If you find joy while making something, it not only means that what you're making is meaningful, but that you're in the optimal position to improve your craft. I also thank that being lazy with studies and practicing is actually good thing: what I mean is that the knowledge from studying references and doing research is best committed to memory when it is immediately connected to a project that you are interested in. I think then that the best approach to art is finding projects that you enjoy tackling, and which give you motivation to improve (which is something /qst/ is great for, as far as I can tell from my extremely limited experience).>What got you into drawing/art in the first place?Hard to say... wanting to get better at hard things has always been an instinct of mine, like playing piano, studying math, or playing Dark Souls. I enjoy the mental exercise, the honing of a craft, and seeing the revelation of an abstract idea brought into being.>What do you want to improve in?I sometimes take an egregious amount of time with my drawings... I'd like to learn to be more efficient, and to draw more confidently (both things that probably only come from practice).>>6417159I like the way the tree is looking at me, but it brings pity to my soul. I would absolutely accept a quest from this poor guy. I'd recommend starting with small manageable projects, or at least breaking large projects into manageable chunks, and having that be your practice. Over-ambition is a very pernicious trap.
>>6417001[need a brief synopsis of who this character is. Context? are swords special? or is it like an ar15? Is the character part of an ellie team? Does he have to be specifically non human? You seem to be going for a pepe motif here, so give pepe a better sword].Darker grean seems more masculine.
>>6414435Posting some shitty stick figure drawings I made of my quest's cast to reapply my trip. (I have no idea if this is going to post before or after my quest update but either way you get to see the "art.") They took like 20-30 minutes max and only exist to remind myself of character specifics when needed (I can see these guys 80-90% complete in my head just fine, but I always tend to forget one or two things). I want to take up drawing again, but I just don't have the patience right now. Not with myself, not with what's required of me. I appreciate all of the tips in the OP; I'm saving them for later so I can hopefully use them when(/if) I get the time and will.>>6416011>What's a general tip you'd like to share about drawing for the rest of us?Just keep going, I guess. I'm hardly an artist at this point, but I've drawn at least a few things every year since I could hold a pencil. Even if it's mostly been stick figures and super barebones sketches for the last few years, I'm not sure I'd be able to draw ANYTHING had I completely put the pencil down.>What got you into drawing/art in the first place?Inability to sit still and a horrifically wandering attention span. I drew for the sake of illustrating what I was thinking of when I was little, then found online spaces devoted to drawing and started drawing for their sake. I've yet to recover from that whole shitshow, eight years ago as it was, and wouldn't recommend it. Pay attention to your idols, not your peers.>What do you want to improve in?Everything. If I had to be specific, I'd say it's a 60/40 split between the human figure and complex buildings. I've never been very good with humans, at all, but they're unavoidable and I want to learn how to do them justice. Complex buildings somewhat fascinate me, but I'm too impatient to draw most of them. I'm also not sure they exist within a 1000 mile radius of where I live, so it's hard to really capture their majesty with nothing but photo references lol.
>>6417163if you got an ich,--with out giving away the arc of the story--Ive got something for you: Hats. I need a character that wears a hat. I have not decided on what my character looks like, but the still un-created character I have in mind--a main character of sorts-- is part of an international consipiracy, and he wears a hat. Fedora type, no trope pimp feather. He also dresses really well, in a nice high end suit with a hanlindigo blue shirt. Think polished teeth, buffed finger nails, 2k USD shoes and perfect hair. A front man of sorts. I dont know what system you are using to create, so lets start with the fedora hat. Oh here is the thread I'm talking about regarding the hats:>>6416839Write on, fren.
Trying something with composition...>>6416687I definitely agree that fun is an extremely important aspect of art-- and improvement!!! That's why I struggle getting through some of the harder art books I've tried toeing into because they're downright grueling :CYour lineart/proportions have definitely improved btw-- they look very clean!!!>>6417159I keked. Looks like that one wise tree from the meme.>>6417275Your art is really cool, and I like your character designs btw!!!Drawing humans is quite tricky, but, if you want some resources, I would recommend the drawing book by Michael Hampton, which I just remembered I put in the /qag/ pastebin in the OP a very long time ago. It was my first art book and quite easy to parse if you're a beginner, but it greatly helped with learning how to construct human form-- I promise you drawing people gets easier the more you do it!!!If you prefer videos, Stan Prokopenko/Proko also has some really good videos as well. I might put that in the OP if we have another /qag/, which we probably will with so many new and enthusiastic drawfags :)Also, asking fellow artfags for help is also good for if you need direction. There are a lot of nice anons here who will probably help you as you continue to practice.Best of luck!!!
I always liked the art that anons have contributed to the Black Company Quest 2230AD, the variations on the grizzled MC SGT 'Snake Eyes' Natalya in particular.
It's mermay, and thus I am drawing lots of mermen.
>>6417649Haven't read it much, but I dig this art! She looks like a bad sonnovabitch! Gives me Yoji Shinkawa vibes. Not bad at all.>>6418904Also gotDAMN look at those MUSCLES. Bernard's looking like some kind of Reptile collector with those PYTHONS!>>6416898Also this guy flaked or something so here's the pixie I drew. Love me some SMT so I took some inspiration from that for the design, sue me
>>6417649Which anon made this? Not an art style I recognize off the top of my head, but I think it's very high in quality.>>6418906AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAI love this character's design and vibe.>musclesYessssssss I love drawing muscles, and I've just gotten back into doing actual studies with them because I have to have characters with good-looking muscles for mermay (and in general because muscles are cool and based). I feel quite good about how the studies are coming out, so I am definitely going to draw more of them.
>>6418906>Also this guy flaked or something so here's the pixie I drewHi fren. I'm still here. Next scene is just finishing up. I've been also building the main arcs and the hooks I've created. I have an--in character--interaction on what I would like you to have Razzle do. I'll ask you in character. Have that Razzle, dazzle in character. Resistant but understanding. I like that you wrote the scene so its not deterministic to the main flow. Great writing. I can "hear" Razzle and her take no shit attitude. A perfect combination to my Hector. If I'm wrong about Razzle and stuff, correct me in character when we meet [IRL].Great art and I really look forward to having Hector interact with Razzle. Great name btw. Razzle Dazzles. So many options with that name. Razzle, Puzzler, Ruzzler, Ruzz, r Ruzzy or Razzie. Nick name or a group of pixies? Her frens, the Rascals? Great name interesting character. The interaction with Hector in character will require you to edit your image. Don't change a thing from what was behind the spoiler--yet. Sandbox is not dead. I've been plotting out arcs, and tools, hooks and subplots. It should be interesting to see what happens next.
Playing with markers that are running out of ink to turn one of my characters into a sea witch...

>>6416253I like Anya. Though I am biased. She can be divisive because of her crass candor. I get suggestions for clothes that are meme of the day or week or something on twitter a lot. Never ones that blow up for being porny though. The dress she ended up wearing in the otome was one of those, but I only found out later.
When you see this design, what does it make you think of? I'm trying to emulate a specific vibe, so I'm testing to see if I got it right.

>>6420114Eh Anya's one of those characters that's interesting to watch in a story because she drives conflict and has interesting opinions on things. This is the art thread, souv. If you're not here to post art you drew, don't bloat the thread with your spam. Illustration so I'm not a hypocrite.
Hey souv, it's nice to talk about history and all, but POST YOUR FREAKING ARTWORK IF YOU'RE GOING TO STAY IN THIS THREAD.This is an ART QUEST, so you have to post ART-- YOUR OWN ART-- if you want to keep yapping. It doesn't have to even be good art-- you just. HAVE. TO DRAW.Also see rule #1.>1. Don't be a spamshit. Multiple posts are fine but keep it below Souv level.Thank you :)
Souv if you need to post here please draw something at minimum
>>6420792BEAT ME TO THE PUNCH BUT ALSO NICE WORK>>6420557Very smooth linework and attention to detail... nice work overall.
>>6420792>>6420793Fantastic work both of you. Use of color is fantastic
>post in qag to avoid souv>he follows meFuck my life i cant make a hank hill reference
>>6420792>>6420793>>6420794well my preferred art is dioramas in my virtual tabletop, I like to hoard copy and paste (steal) photobash and re composite art concepts into virtual landscapes and things, does that count?I spent ages making this diorama for UPYR, the aftermath of the beach roadside lamborghini chase scene. I actually spent quite some time finding a wrecked lamborghini from some photo journalism news article, (also it had to be an orange lamborghini for consistency) the exact angle, then cropping out the background lol and also adding in some fire / flame decals. I like artwork to be HD sort of AAA videogame looking, I don't possess any artistic talent lol so I just shamelessly steal other artwork from people who can make art lol no attribution lol but I just think all art is repurposed anyway and if you never ever ever commercialise or charge money for it (or pretend / claim it is your own) I think it should be allowed
>>6420808>UPYR, why was there a random lamborghini supercar chase scene??If you played my UPYR game, which concluded in 2024 July and where I summoned LA wildfires entirely by coincidence lol but you may also remember, the "end boss" (??) character is a videogame designer (maybe also the Hollywood sign or DEI lol). But during the run-up to the ending, there is a random action chase sequence with supercars and a Lamborghini, >>6420808the assailants are never really explained why they are heavily militarised / assault rifle tactical operator gear etc, what their motives are for pursuing you etc Why do these military assault rifle people who look like they are from Call Of Duty start chasing you as you approach the videogame designer person, in your stolen ultra luxury lamborghini sports car? (later utterly wrecked by gunfire and explosions, along a coastal mountain beach road...)Well this might explain ithttps://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/video-game-developer-vince-zampella-crash-call-of-duty/3819576/December 22, 2025 Prolific video game designer Vince Zampella and a passenger were killed in a crash Sunday on Angeles Crest Highway in the mountains north of Los Angeles (...)The Ferrari had just exited a tunnel on the winding two-lane road when it slammed into a concrete barrier and caught fire.Zampella, co-creator of the 'Call of Duty' franchise, is a lauded figure in the video game industry and head of Respawn Entertainment. But that article explains why some of the events in my game setting transpired as they did
>>6420557Ha! No doubt *this* is the kind of quest you have in mind! For shame Sojourner, for shame.
>>6420808Souv we're trying to be polite. This is an art thread about posting art and making art, not ancillary discussions about vaguely quest related topics. If you want to talk about other stuff, go to the main qtg I don't really care but don't post it here.
>>6420822I'll take a crumb of a quest
>>6420827well let me offer some honest criticism of your art Observer QM. I think it is very impressive, in fact out of all the art I have seen on this qtg forum I think yours is some of the most high effort and it certainly meets my criterion of near AAA videogame quality scifi spaceship / mech look etc. I really enjoyed the trailers you made in the past for it, I remember the one you did with the Armoured Core VI (??) theme music I thought the trailers were even better and more exciting and enticing than say commercial game trailers like Homeworld 3 etc. However, despite browsing over your art I never really play or contribute in your games. The reason is (and I may be mistaken, in which case please correct me) I think your games don't really contain any MORAL PURPOSE. They look very cool and sci fi and videogame like but they are devoid of any thematic or moral / intellectual depth (I think most modern AAA Unreal Engine or Unity games are like this). This is not really bad in of itself if you jist want entertainment, I don't mean to be harsh, but really if I want to play a mech or spaceship game, I can already just play Homeworld or Armoured Core with better graphics etc why play a slow asynchronous text forum game etc. So really when I am looking at Art, I am seeking for something that cannot be found in a videogame (no matter the graphics quality) it is Art that conveys some moral or intellectual purpose beyond the superficial visuals (because a 3d game engine can always generate better visuals and art assets than the intangible imagination - but the game engine cannot by itself intrinsically generate humanistic experience and MORAL PURPOSE). I try to convey that in my own games and mood thematic apophenia lol future predictions >>6420819 >>6420808 of course I don't always do it well or succeed, you can also disagree with my interpretative perspectives, but I wish more game designers would try it
>>6420796>>6420836>>6420827And also I like this spaceship design of yours with the radiators, it is very cool and spacecraft realism looking. My last game, ROBONAUT: CISLUNAR SPACE, which was a hard sci-fi real world space craft / satellite institutional space agency simulator, was actually in some ways a direct counter-response to partly your ObserverQM visuals (and game formats and worldbuilding choices) but also many many space games and space opera settings I see on these image forum threads. SpaceX IPO is happening, Starlink goes "Beams On" in Iran (to use Elon Musk's phrase) and you are just doing like japanese mechs lol, come on grow up get real. Depict space like it actually is, and not like some 1980s cartoon which everyone has already seen and commercialised to death already. This is not to invalidate or detract from what you like (anime robots and spaceships will always be there for you to entertain yourself with lol) but I just feel like you cannot make Art if you don't know anything or see anything from the real world
>>6420836>The reason is (and I may be mistaken, in which case please correct me) I think your games don't really contain any MORAL PURPOSE.Again, man, this is an ART thread in the strictly visual sense. Take this to the /qtg/. You had one little paragraph here complimenting the art (on topic) and then the rest is Souvslop, including you using the phrase 'superficial visuals'. This is actually the thread where the visuals are the point of the discussion. You're derailing, just stop.
>>6420858hehe you should blame BananasQM lol he cursed this thread by summoning invocations through this image, >>6415021 I seethed too hard lol and I had to look up extra detailed wikipedia links afterwards lol. Your criticism is fair, the main purpose of slop is to make writers and artists unemployed / obsolete or lower their wages / labour bargaining power to enhance shareholder returns, as a former tech investment fund manager, literature and arts journal sponsor, any discomfiture I might possess regarding such characterisation would be quite superficial indeed hehebut thank you for your feedback and criticism, I will take the authoritative lessons you provided to me regarding the purpose of this quest art general thread to mind
>>6420881I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or snarky here, but it seems the poster that was worried about their being a lack of participation was wrong and a lot of drawfags have turned out. I am not one, and unfortunately only have the one piece of fan art I already posted, but my other posts here have been responding to explicit asks for feedback or to simply discuss the art being posted. Not long tangents about car wrecks and 'moral purpose', you've just gotten progressively more off topic. I also think it's kind of bad form to be posting any images that aren't quest-related art in a thread like this - the pictures of hats, the damascus steel, wiki screencap, even this screencap of the /qtg/ - they all push us closer to the image limit. This thread is gonna be up for like three months, and since it's for posting art people have paid for or made themselves, it will likely hit image limit before then. So, wasting image bumps on superfluous pics you took or got from Google is kinda rude, man. More than anything, a bunch of people now have asked you not to spam or do these long diatribes, it's literally the first rule of this thread! Please be a better sport and respectful neighbor.
>>6420881Sloucho is being nice and patient with you. I will not.Nobody wants you here. No one. No one finds your posts interesting, amusing, or of any value whatsoever. You are so obnoxious, in fact, that the OP of this QUEST ART GENERAL has, and had in the past few threads, made a jab in the official rules asking people not to spam this thread.I don't know if you're too much of a selfish prick or too stupid to comprehend it, but I'll say it here loud and clear since your constant (temporary, for reasons I cannot comprehend) bans from /qst/ don't seem to be doing the job:No one wants you here. No one wants your stupid replies, no one wants to read your LLM-esque schizobabble, and no one wants you in THIS THREAD IN PARTICULAR because, if you're truly as literate as you claim to be (which I doubt--copy+pasting the British Canon doesn't make you smart, sorry), you'd see the rule at the top is to share and discuss QUEST ART. Not whatever the fuck it is you've been doing for the countless years you've been shitting up this board and website as a whole with your meaningless existence.I know lucidity is a foreign concept to you, but I hope that for once the stars align and you finally understand what everyone is saying:Fuck off. We don't want you here. You add nothing to this board or anywhere else. You are a black hole that just eats away at the image limit, but doesn't actually do what the thread asks. You're inconsiderate, stupid, and extremely obnoxious for reasons that would probably baffle most behavioral scientists. Don't come back, don't add any more of your dumb little rebuttals, just leave.
Just report him and move on, this is the hundredth time you've told him to sod off and it hasn't stopped.
>>6420977Oh yea of course I report all of his shit don't worry
>>6420953well I am very sorry I have made you feel this way DemBones, but it is healthy and cathartic for you to express your feelings so frankly, thank you for thatI was merely responding to this anon, >>6420793who asked me to post my art. So I did, >>6420808>>6420819>>6420836as you know my quests and game settings are very image intensive and heavily researched, nearly all of my games exceed more than 300 art image posts and I think my art is legitimate, very serious and realism-driven, it requires effort to construct those scenes, and gather the literal gigabytes of concept imagery to fit my vision of a particular virtual tabletop aesthetic. Are you saying you don't think my game art meets your definition of Art? Surely 3d virtual tabletops, backdrops and miniatures are the basis of roleplaying games? I personally do not really understand your art, it is just not for me, but I would certainly not complain about it and I would not want all of it deletedI noticed a lot of anons in the past mentioned that I somehow clog up the image limit, I think some anons are maybe posting from high latency (poor internet access??) countries, so I apologise for that, but I really don't understand it, there is no "image scarcity" lol if a thread hits an image limit, just make another fresh one, I think the common refrain from anons is more discussion and board activity is needed anyway? I think some double standards are at play here. For example I often see a lot of very banal, mindless 1 post id comments on the qtg, I just tolerate or scroll past them, sometimes they are funny or even unexpectedly interesting, or send me off to research serendipitous curiosities. I certainly wouldn't want them deleted, their input silenced, any more than all comments are deleted in time lol anyway on an ephemeral nonpermanent text forum, and besides most of the deleted comments appear in the archives anywayI also have detected a tendency on this board towards some subgroup conformity lol. RQM left recently, as you know I did not really understand his games, his art style and dnd worldbuilding was divergent to my aesthetic taste, but RQM seemed like a friendly person and I perceived his contributions to rpg discussion and imagination generally to be positive, encouraging and thoughtful. I don't really understand why some people were so aggressive towards him. I hope you (and no-one else here on this sub thread) were not one of them. Because those malevolent intentions tend generally to rebound in life, producing unexpected consequences. I wish you all the best ^_~
>>6421012You're being willfully dense if you think flooding the ART general with random screenshots of unrelated stuff, like wikipedia and news articles, is something people want to see in the ART general. As for the whole 'image limit' thing, we don't want to have to shit out a new thread constantly because you feel like you have to post five posts in a row, all responding to each other, with random unrelated snippets from news articles from Russia or whatever you feel like doing. It's just obnoxious to see walls of text from you, because you are seemingly uncapable of writing something in less than seven paragraphs, about random bullshit.People hate you for a reason. We don't care about your masturbatory posts about moral purposes, as you scour some random wikipedia article so you can copy and paste sections from, so you can bloat your post with even more slop
>>6421023>"random screenshots" of "unrelated stuff"maybe my posts are too long and detailed, and no-one reads them lol that is fine and obviously your absolute prerogative but if you had read my explanation>>6420808 of how I construct my game diorama scenes, backdrops and miniatures NPC characters for all my virtual tabletop settings, you would see that they come from photobashing those "random news articles" and photojournalism I mentioned, I literally get my game inspiration from news sources photos >>6420819 etc and I incorporate them into gigabytes of game setting concept research, through which eventually some tiny fraction of inspirations makes it into my eventual actual gameFor the videogame "car crash" scene above, I didn't predict the future lol but I knew (from having met some industry and tech executives in the past) some of them were into fast cars racing around beach roads mountains in Los Angeles etc, so I blended those ideas and influences into my game art. I think I mentioned it before, but in my space setting for example, I used actual satellite photos, International Space Station telemetry imagery and spacecraft rendezvous proximity operation / close inspection graphics from academic papers etc (I slightly edited some of the visuals for sharpness / contrast) and incorporated them into my game Art. In the Mars exploration scenes I even went so far as to get imagery of the exact specific crater location the players chose from Nasa, for the water ice hunting / rover scenes etc. The weird "alien nodule" coral thing was a real geological curiosity identified from some past Nasa rover mission (which I thought was strangely underreported and cool / lifelike-looking) so I included itI don't want to come across as just ranting at anons doing anime and cartoony graphics lol >>6420838 (I even need escapism space mechs and plasma guns and starships often too much sometimes lol) please keep doing want you want, but I also just wish sometimes anons would also incorporate more serious real world influences and ideas in their Art too sometimes, because it can be more intriguing than just completely unanchored fictional make-believe. Give the historical realism /nonfictional news journalism Art influence inspiration thing a try, you might like it, it is really fun! That is all I mean by "moral purpose" lol
>>6421028Listen here you braindead asshole-- because I'm going to say this one more time since you are a hopeless, fetid retard who lacks any regard for anyone but himself: YOU DON'T WANT TO FOLLOW THE RULES?FUCK OFFBACK TO /QTG/ WITH YOUNO, SERIOUSLY?You didn't listen to me or the other 50 people telling you to buzz the hell off, so I'm not going to be nice when I say it again in the vain hope it gets through that putrid mass of flesh and bones you call a skull and brain. You are not only breaking the rules of this quest and the board by spamming/flooding with low-quality posts that no one but YOU gives a shit about, but you are bumping the image limit and ruining this thread for literally everyone else, you selfish, inconsiderate shitwhore. That goes for anyone else who willingly summons you to this thread. For the last time, PISS OFF, SOUV.
>>6421028You come across has a ranting, pedantic, annoying, arrogant guy and also one that doesnt want to help just one that want his vision enforced on the art of others. Why someone else need to make his or her art more realistic? What if they don't want to. What if they don't have time. What if they dont like that style. Ever thought of that ? Clearly fucking no.You are also uncapable to follow a basic set of rules and act like a snappy little retard out of the worst kindergarden i have ever seen. And you do this to anons that despite knowing YOUR ATTITUDE AND HABITS, ALWAYS treat you better and more properly than you ever shown to anyone here.Like everyone else is saying get the fuck out. And while you are at it do some self reflection, for a long while at the very least. Not about esoteric, fantasy, sci fi or political shit but your attitude and habits.
>>6421037>>6421046>low quality...?I feel you need to justify this assertion. You asked me to post my Art, and I obliged. You claimed my posts were bloated by "random articles" so I patiently explained, my Art approach partially uses graphics and nonfictional photojournalism imagery incorporated from those "random articles" that is intrinsic to my game art / virtual tabletop NPC character and worldbuilding design process. What is it that you specifically perceive about my games to be "low quality"? I notice people tend to hurl general abuse lol but they never really actually argue against my art aesthetics, design ideas / ideology or game settings themselves lol Maybe I can improve on them by incorporating accommodating or adapting your feedbackI always adopt a fairly benign tone, I don't really do hostility or abuse I just find it unproductive and demeaning really to one's own individual status, self-worth and interests to engage in such provocation lol, it rarely really gets what you want and only leads to a lot of embarrassing over-emotional fallout afterwards, it is sort of a poor signal and reflection of how you manage your own personality if you give in to outbursts. If you look at the history of this thread, I genuinely was fascinated by BananasQM new artwork for his Bronze Age / Swords and Sorcery ancient setting, I was perhaps a bit overenthusiastic in my questions and ideas but I really wanted to know about his inspirations, I have played in a few of his game settings and even contributed my own diorama Art for his cool Giant Anglerfish / ship galleon scene in Black Ocean Quest, that was a really atmospheric scenario in my opinion (even though as a dungeonmaster I could feel the bait coming lol with the luminous ominous ocean electric light lure, I stayed quiet and just let it happen lol I wanted to see what BananasQM and the players would do) https://archived.moe/qst/thread/6035566/#6059695I have also contributed my diorama art to Kaz QM postapocalyptic / solar flare quest, https://archived.moe/qst/thread/6293998/#6327674I don't usually like anime catgirls argh lol but I thought Kaz encounter setup there with the cyber streamer was excellent and his writing and some of his cool sci-fi slogans very immersive (there was one Kaz included that was something like, No Stars Whilst The Earth Starves?? I may not have remembered it exactly correctly lol but it was very catchy)My point is I genuinely do engage in game threads and offer my best well-intentioned critiques, feedback enthusiasm and ideas for games,I try my best never to be abusive or too harsh in my response lol (I am far from infallible) but so far, no-one has really reciprocated lol, I have not really understood what has agitated you to such an extent? If you have no feedback lol, that is fine, I don't want to compel anyone to forcibly enjoy my games lol, but likewise, mutually polite tolerance I feel is only fair
>>6421068I don't think your dioramas count for art as implied by OP. This thread is about drawn or modelled (in the case of Observer) work made by users, not dioramas of images you took from the internet and put together on a board which is another image from the internet (none of the images created by you). There's something to be said for e.g. an arrangement of figurines or other objects to be defined as quest art, but not just random pics on blank pedestals.I'm not gonna spend 3000 symbols capslock insulting you like some are intent on doing, but I agree that you should leave this thread. If you even will listen.
>>6421077>composited, collage diorama art is not Art?Well you have given a very polite response, kind anon, so I will spare you my monologue lol on how I used to sponsor a literary arts journal, how mixed media collage is art or I suppose you could call it bricolage lol or other pretentious art world nomenclature - in fact this was actually a theme in my UPYR game setting above, one of the items the players start with is a Heap Of Crap / random rubbish junk they found on the beach seashore lol I wanted to see if they might try and satirically roleplay some imaginative uses for it (eg pretend the item was some expensive avant garde modern art sculpture, to gain access into various facilities / game map sections eg a secluded luxury beach house). It feels like all of the hysterically abusive anons lol are violating their own rules of this /qag thread, namely 4. no drama / vendettas, and no denigrating other people's art (eg by claiming it is not even "Art", whatever that might be). I sometimes do not like some art, but I still look at it and try and imagjne what appeal it possesses for its creator and what they try to convey etc or what it might reveal about their own psyche and experiences, I mentioned in the qtg in the past how there are themes like Abject Art (4chan might just call this gore or extreme gif stuff lol) or phenomena like Naive Art (art drawn to be deliberately childlike / absent formalism, this is a thing) so I would never really just instinctively dismiss anything. There is even that Danto Institutional Theory Of Art (tautologically, all Art in an Art Museum is Art) so by that definition, all Art in an Art Thread is Art. And doesn't rule 2/ also explicitly permit work of "other characters" ie incorporation of other inspirations, essentially that which constitutes my diorama compositions? Maybe this is just straying into pedantry lolI do enjoy making these dioramas and discussing art inspirations, if any anon needs visual ideas or diorama mockups of scenes I will try my best to help and think of some ideas if I can manage it. >>6421406Do you want the short answer or the long answer?
>>6421409the in-universe one
Ok, I will try to keep it concise and not delve into the artistic reasoning. The cop out answer: there isn't any lore that says they can't. You are not going to find any sweeping statement that says "all eldar are pale skinned". This ties into the concept of "there is no wrong way to paint a miniature" that trickles into the canon lore. In fact, in the lore itself it is mentioned that eldar have the tech to change their appearance in any way they want. An example is a comb that a character runs through their hair which instantly changes their hair colour into whatever they want. Hopefully more satisfying answer: dark eldar get their energy from the psychic emotions that are released from the suffering of others. They are in a way emotion vampires. Dark eldar that don't go around torturing or haven't done so recently because they are poor or weak or whatever are described to look gaunt and goulish. However a dark eldar that is rich and can get a hold of lots of suffering look younger / beautiful / vibrant. If you look up the lady Aurelia Malys model you can see GW give her a skin tone with more warm pigments.Games workshop own inability to have a standardized vision of eldar: eldar have been around for like 40 years at this point. You can Google an eldar and get an image of a tall grey alien with a mohawk next to an image of a human with pointy years yet both will be official canon at some point or another. However what has been canon from start to finish is that eldar and dark elder ARE the same race. Anything an eldar can be, a dark eldar can be too and there are many examples of eldar with fairer completions.
Eldar, Dark Eldar...When are the Exodites gonna get some love?
>>6421642the second answer makes sense to me, with the others providing supplementary informationunder those consideration, lightly tan eldar, as in the picture, is more than fair enoughsatisfactory explanations of how a piece fits into the whole makes the piece that much better
>>6421648exodites are just eldar
>>6422143They're cool jungle eldar. Which is a surprise because wood elves are usually the lamest of all of them whanever they pop up.

Working on doing some more background stuff for multiple quests--just trying to get into the right headspace, y'know?
I remember posting various bits of this here and there. I don't think I ever got them all on a /qag/ though. I had them in some sort of dating cyoa setup with varying degrees of mental illness involved but the engagement part was far outstripped by the lore so I was unsatisfied with that. Dunno if I'll remake that bit, but it is a lot of designs so it's not like the hard part would be the thing that isn't done already.>>6425287Probably would be a bit before doing full color, active quest splits my attention and all, but maybe I'll start picking up the pace on things sooner rather than later.I could have done other characters but I've been on a kick for uniforms and I have a shortage of female characters who wear uniforms or combat gear in multiple sorts of situations. A few would have more if they didn't have plot reasons for absence.>>6426436B-but they're all the same person...Besides, she'd say that if you can't handle her at her worst, then you'd be dead anyways.>>6426882It helps the individuality when the uniform is worn to certain personal preference like with length, folding or what goes under, or has certain imperfections in fitting. It does require having the uniform itself in a whole state first though, an extra step. Most of these had uniforms beforehand to work from for example. Years of iteration on different things. For the ones that look like uniforms and/or gear that is, obviously the leopard print isn't an example of that.
Ok Qaggots... If I were to commission a piece of art as a cover for After-Bloom, how would I contact somebody? Discord? Something else? Who around here takes commissions? I am not really sure what I would even want but I am committed enough at this point to toss some money at a stronger presentation. I am thinking of doing an image of Biltmore house that is overgrown with vines, flowers, and trees. I am open to ideas from anybody with a vision though. Maybe could do the three MC's standing next to each other in a forest clearing or something.
>>6427210Can't speak for 'em, but I've commissioned Siren, Peekay, and Indonesian Gentleman in the past and they all did great jobs. Dunno what their preferred means of communication would be, but they're def worth the money!

>>6419743[A FLASH OF LIGHT HITS EVERY (YOU)'s SCREEN]A dizzy Hector stood in the middle of the Nevada sand junkyard. Above him, a dusty sign dangled from the door handle of a Tuff Shed TR-800, its grey and cerulean blue siding faded from the sun. The structure looked parched, washed only by the intermittent, occasional drips of the desert. Once in a while, these sheds were drenched by monsoon rains across the Golden State, but out here, the grime stayed baked in. The sign on the door, hanging fast by a sailor's clove hitch, read: "Lots of Parts." The play on words did not escape him.He looked down at his screen. It showed a website—a strange place called 4chan. Who or what was this 4chan? Confused, Hector stared inside the imageboard's three-dimensional world, peering at it through the flat, one-dimensional screen of a clumsy Nokia. It was an ancient interface with rudimentary buttons, good for those times when Hector needed something rugged with the flexibility of primitive web access. It was the Timex watch of cellphones, but right now, it was acting like a gateway of sorts. It was all too much for Hector, the wandering wanderer hired to find out what was going on in Vegas. He couldn't grasp why he was standing in front of a collectible car—a vintage lookalike of the General Lee—why his phone was acting like a portal, or why there was a pixie floating directly in front of him. One thing was certain: Hector needed this pixie creature to cover its pelvic region. The newspaper sheets detailing the local dubs event, fashioned into a temporary loincloth, would have to work as a modesty cover until the pixie disappeared or decided to spin up something tasteful. Maybe this pixie could get to pixie stuff and sew something clean out of the newsprint. He glared back at the mobile screen. Its clunky interface was made clunkier by the phone's stiff rubber buttons. This 4chan place felt like an ancient relic from a time when the internet was new, exciting, and experimental. Suddenly, the low battery icon flashed, and the screen went completely blank. Hector returned to the real. In the real world, the sharp smell of decay returned. Everything went back to normal. Hector and the pixie were no longer trapped in the text stream of the thread. Razzle looked to Hector, and then both turned their heads to look directly at (you).[A FLASH OF LIGHT HITS EVERY ANON](Thread: >>6416839)
>>6427764(Note to Razzle's author: I like it! While I have never had a character interact with an active character driven by another writer—especially an artist with visual skills—this is going to be incredibly fun. To be completely honest, this is my first attempt at collaborative fiction. To be even more honest, to the point of being totally naked: I am brand new to writing. With that, I'll leave this post here before the screen flashes and I return to the fictitious place called "Lots of Parts." I am new to this craft, currently pursuing a fiction story, a non-fiction book, and this fun sandbox framework. It might not be the most active thread on the board, but I love the writing challenges, the interactive exchanges, and our common goals. My narrative focus will become clearer soon, but right now, Hector needs to investigate the dead body outside of Las Vegas, decode the mysterious events occurring worldwide, and figure out the arrival of this pixie.)
