Sapphire syrup sloshed inside a tall metal pod that hummed in a low pitch. Caressed by the thick liquid, a fetus no more than twenty weeks curled up, held in place by myriads of wires. The Emperor of Mankind and Malcador the Sigilite examined the switches and the wires of the machine in the deep cellar below the great Imperial Palace. The Emperor examined the fetus with cold, dispassionate eyes, as if he saw a product and not a living being.[i/]

“We have no use for it.” The Emperor said.[i/]

Malcador softly hummed, his hood hid his half of his face, yet the Emperor knew the tells of his old friend.

“There are many use for it, a buffer perhaps.” He continued hearing The Emperor’s silence. “The primarchs will be brothers and brothers will naturally compete. They will seek your approval as all sons do. She will be an alternative to impress and to distract the primarchs of their competitiveness. If she is proven ineffective, she bcomes a political tool of convenience.”[i/]

“The primarchs are not children and will be above such emotions. It is inefficient to create this just so my sons can feel appreciated. The primarchs are weapons.” The Emperor said without a hint of emotion.[i/]

Malcador nodded. “But still human.”[i/]

The Emperor paused for a brief moment, then stared at the pod. The fetus twitched its leg.[i/]

“Create her as you see fit.”[i/]

A young girl skipped in the halls of the Imperium Palace. Her skin was light brown with long black hair, with brown eyes full of wonder and vigor waiting to be expended. She ran between the legs of custodians and lucifer blacks, jumped past a cart stacked with parchments, all while giggling as a child should. The jaw of vising Bureaucrats and officers hung in disbelief for many reasons.

“That must be…”

“Yes, she is…”

For one, it could be the acrobatics of the child, or the fact that the custodians did not care. Most likely, the little girl was Her Royal Highness. Pangea, The Princess of Imperium of Man, the daughter of The Emperor of Mankind.

>Who was greatly adored by her brothers (Default Primarch backstories, however, angron’s nails are not fully entrenched)
>The sole daughter and child of The Emperor (The sons are being found, Horus is already found)

The princess was gifted, excelling in every endeavors. Her psychic abilities were unmatched, save for few that can be counted with one hand in the entire Imperium. The raw intellect made her a prodigy in any scholarly field, and her physical ability made many officers and warriors eager to see her growth.

“I never thought I’d see the highness herself…” A new bureaucrat said.

The old governor nodded. “That is her highness indeed. Do not let her childish whimsy fool you should you ever encounter her attention.”

“Why is that?”

>“She’s beyond intelligent… She can understand science as if they are fun puzzles.”
>“She can be deceptively cunning, whether on purpose or not, no one could ever tell.”
>“People say she can read the minds of others, her psychic gift is not to be considered a rumor.”
>“She’s quite the charismatic girl, it’s almost supernatural how people fawn over her…”
>“Even though she’s a child, she has already beaten several combat tutors…”

Oh shit, it's Pangea again!
Ngl, it's been a while since I participated in the original quest, so I don't remember all the details, but one of her biggest character flaws is that she was jealous of her Primarch brothers, right?
Do we want to go with that again, or do we instead want to try something different this time around?

It could be pretty interesting to see how Big E would react if... idk, his daughter shows slight sympathy towards xenos, or if she maybe questions whether the Imperium should be fully annexing all humans they find rather than allow some places remain independent.

Her very existence is already a huge step towards preventing (or at least mitigating) the Horus Heresy, and that's even if we don't utilize our meta knowledge.
So if there still has to be a late game threat, it'd be ironic if Pangea was unintentionally one of the direct causes; quietly questioning The Emperor or wondering if The Imperium should be governed differently.

“She can be deceptively cunning, whether on purpose or not, no one could ever tell.”

The young bureaucrat raised an eyebrow. “She’s just a little girl.”

The older man shook his head. “She’s not just a little girl, she is the daughter of the Emperor. Watch your words, lest she decides you’re the next pawn in her regicide board.”

OST Recommendation
Assassin's Creed 2 - Home In Florence

You are Pangea, and you’re having fun!

Zipping through the halls, between the legs of custodians and tall (and stuffy) people alike, the palace was your playground and you were the only attendee… Yes, the only person. But! Just because you were alone didn’t mean you couldn’t involve others! Since you did plenty of times. A missing document there, a slip of parchment here, and soon, the mean governor would face an inquiry. That’s what he gets for focusing on his own greed.

Indeed, the work of a princess is never done.

Your home was a giant labyrinth, full of hallways, corridors, stairways, and all kinds of pathways. Of course, you knew all the shortcuts and hidden rooms. Your latest expedition was to make stashes across the palace and map them if you ever got in trouble and needed to hide. For no plan ever survived in the contact of the enemy. This time, you may or may not have shifted your schedule of study given to the custodians to track by your uncle for a full four hour of fun time.

Serves him right to make her study all the time!

The custodians truly need to up their security, the infiltration was too easy since their serfs were too trusting. All it took was to enter the Tower of Hegemon, and since no one question your presence, all it took was giving the “new” schedule to the serf to deliver! Easy as candied yamas.

“Huhuhu…”

You giggled at your brilliance.

The bag filled with soft feather molded under your weight as you held a data-slate containing old terran literatures, a bag of dehydrated tater chips, and a fizzy drink. Ah yes, this truly was a wonderful day.

////(((<O>)))\\\\

You jolted from your lounging. Uncle. His psychic eyes emerged throughout the palace. You make a psychic blanket, a swampy shadow to submerge yourself in. With a held breath you wait. There was nothing to be afraid of since your strategic haven was chosen based on how hidden they were first.

<<Pangea. Do not think I cannot see you.>>

Aw dust and rubbles…

No.

Uncle could be bluffing…

Underneath the psychic anti-ward and being in the deeper part of your home, you replied back in the psychic field where uncle threw his message out.

<<Are you sure?>>

There was another psychic rumble, one that was casted out like a wide net, and your anti-warding managed to give a small bump with your attempt at calling your uncle’s bluff. The psychic net surely sensed the small psychic signature. Curses, you shouldn’t have replied in the first place. You grimaced, and waited.

<<I am certain. Would you like to face punishment properly, or be dragged out?.>>

You held your tongue.

No more calling out bluffs, you waited, unsure whether or not if Uncle was bluffing or not. Uncle sighed.

<<You have made your choice.>>

Beams of light swaddled you up. From neck down, you couldn’t struggle even an inch. Worst of all, you were paraded like a captured General. He had you bound and floated through the main halls to his study. You were plopped down on his chair as he glared at you with his arms crossed.

“So, you thought I wouldn’t find you.” Uncle said. “Then you doubted my ability.”

“But you said to always verify any claims.”

“I have, but there is a difference between obeying your elders and what you have said, is there not?”

“Yes… Uncle.”

He nodded. “Your punishment will be a study on the Sans Tax Reform and the summary of the Lions Gate supply chain regarding raw materials.”

You lean your head back.

“A daughter of the Emperor does not bemoan studying.”

>“I didn’t know I was one… As if Father will care.”

"I didn't know I was one"
Based sassy Pangea
Although believing he wouldn't care is silly, because if you're a useful tool, then he'll value you. It's how he sees the Primarchs, after all
>>
“I didn’t know I was one…” You crossed your arms. “As if Father will care.”

“He is busy. He needs you to be ready when the time comes.” Uncle said.

“You always say that but all I do is read, read, and read!”

You slammed your fists on the wooden table as you got up from the chair. Your hair floated as golden light formed around you. This tended to happen when your emotions got the best of you, which recently has been frequent. Your nostrils flared but Uncle didn’t seemed bothered at all but tired, annoyed, knowing full well there were more important tasks at hand. You slumped back, defeated, there was no way out of this mess.

“Without knowledge, raw power cannot be honed.” Uncle said. “Your studies may seem useless but when you are given a responsibility, you will use the skills you have learned. You know where the library is, now go.”

“Yes, uncle…”

The library, or formally known as the Principa Collegiate, a place where ambassadors and scholars of other worlds come to learn the ways of the Imperium. The Collegiate was also the place you spent most of your time studying. The Collegiate, like many halls and areas, had tall ceilings with a dense traffic of scholars, ambassadors, and serfs. Going to another floor required a long trek through the traffic of people or on a packed grav lift. You scoffed at the both options.

“Vacate this grav-lift!”

The residents stared at you with confusion and bewilderment, except for the tutors who were aware of you.

“This is the princess, everyone vacate this grav-lift!”

The swarm scurried away, leaving you with spacious rooms. Once you reached the third floor, you sighed, and trudged to the corner where you studied, a quiet place away from the opportunistic eyes and ears of the other world’s scholars and politicians visiting the Principa Collegiate. In the corner of the far flung section, you pulled the book on the top shelf. The scent of old parchment and incense canceling the old smell clashed, pureeing into an oddly comforting smell.

“The inspector has his cut. He knows what to do.”

You placed your book down and follow the sound. Two robed men whispered in hushed, shadowy voices, safely snug between the thick shelves.

“And the courier?”

“Scheduled for tonight.”

A paid inspector and a courier, with no specific location to look for… Your studies could wait. You followed the two men. One of them was an ambassador and the other was a xeno-tech specialist Tailing them meant forgoing your studies, reporting them would lead to nothing.
