I made a huge mistake!

The walls of the wormhole stretches without end. All four sides twist in unimaginable colors surrounding my freefall. Completely offbalance my knees knit themselves over each other all helterskelter ; there's no solid surface to stand on in a portal to god knows where. Falling minute after minute headlong and upside down messes up the mind till mind mistakes upside down for upright up. After this I don't think I could ever go on a carnival ride ever again.

The infinite tube of ethereal energy flows ahead without an end in sight. Gravity exercises its supremacy in all space and time and dashes my body in a direction that can't be anything other than down.

Like waiting for a trainstop that doesn't exist, I flounder in the air. Argh! That villainess! Because of that evil villain Niello Gnieza, I'm put into this crisis. When I get back I'll give her some knuckles that'll make her dizzier than I am! Her face still sticks to my mind.

"Ohohohoho! All alone, are you? Well you're too late. With this ancient wand in my hands every knee shall bow before me!"

"Versa Verda and Azura Zelta are safe where they are! This final battle is all or nothing... Here and now, I'll defeat you!"

"Fool! This museum is invested on every corner. You have come far to make it here and you had your chance to escape ; fighting a war alone will be your undoing. The power in this artifact already courses through me. Before I defeat you with this newfound potency, tell me the (ir)rationale behind your craven arrogance : I'll be sure to tell your friends once I have dealt with you. Ardena Dura."

[] "I can handle you all by myself. I'm the only one strong enough to protect everyone." (POW: 5, TEC:7, ART: 9)
[] "I realized now that this fight is fatal. I'd rather sacrifice myself for my friends to live." (POW: 7, TEC: 5, ART: 9)
[] "Only a hero can fight the villain. It's my responsibility to finish you myself." (POW: 9, TEC: 7, ART: 5)

(Welcome, barons bold and cavaliers (surely every one of you must be such peers). This is Magical Girl in a Medieval Court Quest. About the dice : We will use a 1d12, Bo3. Most actions will be categorized as either POW, TEC, or ART. If an action needs a roll, I'll try to figure the best fitting stat and have you guys roll. Ex : Bash down a ponderous door that could break your hand = Roll POW Stat = Roll equal to or greater than the value of your POW stat.

Seeing as this is a weekend and that I'm completely unemployed, I'll be present to potentially give a few more updates today.)

"I realized now that this fight is fatal. I'd rather sacrifice myself for my friends to live."

>Ardena Dura. Stat Line: POW: 7, TEC: 5, ART: 9.
(Quick guiding definitions!)
>POW = Feats of physical prowess and constitution, destructive capacity, and bodily gravitas.
>TEC = Dexterity, technical skill such as weapon finesse, or technical knowledge such as depth in legalism or rhetoric.
>ART = Scholarly depth in humanities, skill in medicine/poison, mastery in magic and the arcane.

And you know what she did? She went and cackled. What I had said must have landed myself the first punch in that fight. She had started to tear up in her eyes.

"Courageous as always, practicing self-sacrifice for your dear companions. But your temerity tonight spells the end of you. At the tip of this ultimate staff your shortsightedness will be your downfall."

At that hour Niello Gnieza had poured out dark magic magnitudes stronger than what I had fought before. Sprinklers went off, alarms blared, sirens pealed-- the whole building I swore could have kneeled. The tempo was high, our magic sticks whirled, and to catch her awry was as easy as farming pearls.

My hands played a lance that looked at its enemies askance. New sorceriers Niello conjured and before long I had the short end.

I lost... While she made that infuriating face of hers absorbed in gloating. The best my magic's blade could do is make her break a sweat.

Even if I was prepared to give my life, I had severely underestimated her insane scale up. A crazy cheat! Niello could then withstand my wand's feats!

"Your final hour is here. What, oh, what did I tell you, Ardena-Du? I will be sure to relate your vain attempt to your two comrades for you."

Weaving a new spell she blasted the wormhole at me. Maybe as a joke she was comfortable sending me to the strange and unknown. Now I fall through space without a stop.

I first feared that the infinite dive would be the most terrifying. But after a long time it's the boredom that'll kill me first than starving here ; and the alone time is inviting way too many bad thoughts in, getting all intrusive without the ultimate villainess to bother me. With me gone... My city is at stake. I left Aoi and Midori alone with that annoying witch.

It hit me. My throat choked on pebbles. Was my sacrifice worth it?

I didn't want my brain to keep sentience when it dawned on me. In the middle of the undefined ride my head was bound to go on a deep, dark path of brooding.

Thankfully : a light at the end of the tunnel. It grew. I was getting ou--

1000 A.D.

The taste of ozone punches my face as I was jetted out the end of the wormhole. Falling with a destination in sight I smash through smoky clouds. My joints grew numb inside that subspace ; the air friction revived my senses and I instantly resorted to flailing like a pigeon.

Crud! The fight with Niello sapped tons of my magical energy. It's hard to fly! My combat dress looked a blazing red birthday streamer foundering in the atmosphere.

The earth below, menacing my accelerating missile body with a collision, opened in view. A big splotch of... red... on the land, right where my skull's aiming at?

Akane, what did you get yourself into?

QM, how historically accurate is gonna be your 1000 A.D.? I`m personally not against anything from "completely based on absurd clichés and stereotipical caricatures" to "as historically accurate as consievably possible in the quest about magical girl" but its better to establish expectaitions beforehand.
>>
>>6478958
(Yes! It's not accurate as you guys will see in the future! This will be a quest of historical fiction that will make use of many fantasy elements such as magic and supernatural action, not meant to accurately reflect historical fidelity and will represent the time in a way that's more cliche. When I do refer to or incorporate anything historical, I WILL manipulate the detail so that it'll fit into this timeframe I've picked and what I have in mind.)
>>
>>6478975
So not be autistic about how "Hungary wasn`t a kingdom until the end of a year, and Poland wasn`t a kingdom a couple decades into future", got it. Then, if we are talking cliche, we actually SHOULD worry about potential witch hunt or something.

Ardena Dura (Akane)'s POW is 7. Thus the DC is 7 and you must roll greater than or equal to. It is Best of Three, 1d12 ; I shall only reckon the very first three rolls!

The land unfolds as I rush closer to its face. There's no other choice then. I've survived worse! But boy do I hate getting more bruises than what I already have.

Hands forward-- gotta protect the head! It's time to test the sturdiness of a magically infused girl accelerating at nine-point-eight. Although civilians don't notice, taking huge blows head on still absolutely smarts.

Here I am, Ardena Dura! Are you another fan? What. A protector of love and justice? No, no... I'm a meteor that falls out of the sky. Even the continent's no match for me!

There is nowhere else to naturally go but the rapidly expanding red dot. Skirt flounces flap and whip from turbulence. The wind whistles while I'm cutting through its breezes. Ah, I got there faster than I liked!

Landing complete!

CRASH.
>>
My impact heaps a huge dust cloud into the sky I fled from.

I survived. It turned out that I had guts to spare.

My head blanches, reeling from the abrupt stop. Pouncing on the dirt with your full weight leaves your organs and nerves behind; your muscles, ahead. I didn't look pretty, but my kneejerk reaction to start messaging my back trumped my worry over looking cool.

Over the minute I took recovering from the collision the breeze sweeps away the dust all about. I then stole the view acting a gopher.

I scrunch the ground under me : wherever I touch, a handful of chain links. And the limb of a man that each suit encases.

It's a battlefield. The sward buried in swords, and the bleed from the lumps of meat draining into ditches. Horses are limp with riders stuck death underneath them. Shields are shattered wherever there's a coat to show blazon.

I became hypnotised. Niello Gnieza could never create this much gore. I felt so stupefied that there was no way I can switch to fear. The destruction is so unreal that confusion alone is elicted and amazement in one twinkling of a glance captures me.

The crown to the baffling stage is the level of energy seething from the mounds of soldiers. Love energy. My wand glows, thirsty from being run ragged. With this, I can refuel a good amount of mana besides loafing around for a recharge.

I should take a look too-- I need to stretch. I don't think the guy under me will like his corpse as a seat any longer (sorry!).

Against the heap of dead so high I raise my rod to resupply, on the mysterious energy called Love. Midori and Aoi have said it moves all things (like their hearts for their dates) ; which I can agree that it makes sense since love in comics causes drama to intense! The magical energy seethes so much I swear it was frothy foam on a sandy front. The sketch of shining streams of magic, flowery however in its splendor, cannot beat the grisly hands and fingers chopped and blended! My wand feeding on the mana is a picture pretty in its glitter--funneling the ethereal channels into itself -- but gosh the sight of casualties gives me a grimace. Blegh!

Absorbing magic such as love connects user to the base. Niello's sorcery feeds on pride and hate. So it's the aquifer that she prefers, connecting her as pipe and plumber. Drawing from the channel now from the hill of dead I can prod at the essence of the seethe : and it really was love.

Love for their country and patriots to the death. While I could hurl at the gorey puddles, the shimmer of their furor betrays their mass grave's dour. The bounty of magic I'm taking for myself was fed on the heart and hope of warriors in love. This could've been unknown if I hadn't tapped in well into the well. Divining the rhyme and reason for a magic's character is, to put it simply, threading a needle without a cheap needlethreader.

"Love once again you prick me sore! I want her. No, I'll have her. I take what I want."

A baritone voice boomed where I wasn't looking. "What?!" I said. Was I hearing that right?!
>>
It's a giant of a man with a red and round dango nose. Chainmail hangs off his posture. The rings are belted on with a buckle as thick as tank plating and it's straight up a manhole cover covering his belly.

Besides wearing iron boots he swaggers his moves like one of those uncles that only wear tropical button-ups with a gold chain too. Other than that I take him for a dude that likes to wear nothing else.

"I want her too!" the enormous man spoke. "No, we have no more room!" said his companion. Next him, the girl looked tiny against his magnificent size.

"What! Why not?"

"Our cells are filled at Donna Triste. Even the biggest castles in Narbonne can't hold anymore than whom we've taken-- Need I remind you why we traded slaughter for capture? And open your eyes! Can't you see? She must be some princess that's gotten lost. Where are you going to put her? Your room? Yeah right!"

"Aurora would die to have quarters like mine to closet up her shriveled Tithonus from light. Silks, cashmere, and the finest carpets she can lay on ; while, well do I say, I lay lovely on her. Lanfusa, you needs to understand. When a man finds a pearl in a plot of land, he'll sell everything he has to buy that plot! So does a man whipped up with love and all afire-- Look! She looks as me with desire, her face contorting and twisting because of how Venus tortures her heart!"

"Tch. Idiot. That's because she found something gross."
>>
The amorous warrior puts it at a stop there : no matter what he wants me there, alongside him, if not hogtied or under his arm.

The two bickered. So plainly the girl's advice fails to prevail when she obviously hated doing more work than she had to. The more he pours over himself poring on my looks, the more she clicks her tongue and acts like an irritated girlfriend thinking, So this is what he likes? She fiddles with iron chains as she would her hair.

Thunder then rolls over. The weather wasn't moody as far as I can tell, but I realize it was the ground falling not the sky. A stray knight was coursing over on a courser to where we are and stops at a distance from us. He wears green and his horse is restless. From helmet to toe his plating glitters, bouncing off light as he turns his head left and right to assess the corpses and our contention. "Not one inch closer!" he contested!

He speaks. "To heap another atrocity on top the other, you would dare to act shamelessly upon a woman? She dresses glamorously, a princess from a foreign country I bet. It'd be a disservice to leave her undefended from a mortal enemy."

" "Oh, hard-ass four-eyes is here." " The two (villains???) said simultaneously.

Four-eyes apparently, although he wore a helmet. He fixes himself between me and the pair. "Stand back. I shall submit my valor to your succor. If my might doesn't avail me today then flee fugitive!"

We strike the earth like the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs and not even a minute later two French mercenaries (???) are trying to abduct us. Fuck you Niello Gnieza!
>>
>>6479447
Okay, this is all weird and we know nothing...Mabe some kind of fantasy world? But those guys look like villains. So, guess we should start with beating them and forcing to explaing how they connected with Niello...And if they aren`t and she just thrown us whenever, well, at least we would know - where exactly.

>[X ] Fight alongside the green knight. (If you pick this option, specify whether it's the Amorous Knight or Lanfusa you're fighting)

Amorous Knight looks kinda dumb, probably doesn`t have a lot of tricks, so if we are to leave one opponent to the untested ally, it shouldn`t be a complete mystery box. (From the protagonists standpoint).

"Wait. I can fight too!" I speak. The green knight knocks his head in disbelief ; he has talked and motioned as to endow relief-- to a maid he had never ever seen. But I have magic to appropriate and the mana I gathered bristles to lay not sedate! Knights brandish blades, magical girls brandish staves : full on love the wand in my hand revives, restoring its lancehead at its very top side. And when he glances at my magic lance the cavalier was not askance to refuse my part in the duel. In fact, his mood soars to acknowledge a companion's courage shining t'wards the fore.

The green knight has no complaints about my participation. Then the bluto bruto immediately quips a minute quarrel : "My horse died a long time ago. We're both knights (if you can suspend your disbelief!) so abide by chivalric code and alight from your destrier bold. I want a fracas fair and square. (And when I get the best of you, that steed will be the prize.)"

"You say well. It'll be dishonorable!" and the cavalier verdant deigns to oblige, next saying, "Ferranto, friend, stay here! I'll show that Saracen some cheer."

The two men stand stock straight and hawk each other over the field. The sun makes their hauberks glow and turns them into the tallest candles. The green knight's helmet twinkles ; the amorous knight, his beltbuckle.

And in they dash!

A headlong clash, clearing the field in a single flash! They draw their spades-- amazing, glittering blades-- and went to town one upon the other, beating and buffetting cuirass and casque!

And while they whorl and twirl both arm and arms, the chick the big brute left with no hitch blocks my way before I could get into the fray. "Hey, we don't have all day," the girl, Lanfusa, articulates. She jangles her chains and susses me up with a one-two glance, probably thinking that there's no chance a prissy princess can outdo her with a lance.

She wraps the iron links around her white hands and straightens the rings out shoulderlength apart! Clink! "Just my luck. Wasn't expecting to sweat in a new foray. That stupid bum, dense doofus. What a rude rufus! Him getting me roped into trouble wherever he goes-- God knows how hard I got it following him around.

Chick, put two braincells together and go down nicely. My chains are unbeatable. Catenarian power can resist the tension of metric tons, and these shackles were obtained from great Ctesiphon! The very ones the ancients used to design their domes and now here to make your pretty shoes run."

[ ] Overpower her in an instant! (Attacking with POW. Will cause a POW roll.)
[ ] Maneuver and strike deftly and focus on footwork! (Attacking with TEC. Will cause a TEC roll.)
[ ] Unleash a projectile of magic and blow her away! (Attacking with ART. Will cause an ART roll.)
[ ] Write-in option! Make sure to attach a Stat that's relevant.

Combat Rules!

When attacking, the opponent will have to roll the same check (If you attack with POW Stat in mind, then : you'll roll a POW check, and the opponent will roll POW as well to figure how they receive it).

You will have to pass the Stat roll AND be higher than the opponent's results to succeed. On ties : nothing happens and both contestants are equally matched.

If you, or the enemy, fails to pass the Stat check or be higher than the oppponent, a -1 penalty (maximum, -2 penalty) is received. Penalties are erased when the "scene of the battle" ends. As a rule, battles/fights won't go over 3 rounds (if they ever reach that long).

I've been figuring out how to operate this quest for a couple of months beforehand so quite honestly anxious to see how this particular mechanics turns out. Tell me if you guys jive with it or not if it ever comes to it!

Seems for the best, our POW rating is better than hers, while our best stats are equal.

>[X ] Maneuver and strike deftly and focus on footwork!
I`m thinking, that is probably what she expects in general but no way she expects us to be as nimble as her.
Now, why I`m ACTUALLY want to try this course of actions - she smart(er then Amorous Knight) so at the very least she should consider the possibility of us just punching her in the face. As such, I don`t see her losing in one round that easily. Now, if we are to either win or tie first round on TEC, then "sudden full power punch in the face" can become fully unexpected and as such win us this battle.

Then again, it is heavily dependent on mechanics, if this is "3 rounds, win 2 to achieve full victory" then we should just go with punching all the way.

Okay, question. Let us assume Green Knight fight Amorouus Knight on TEC.
Green Knight rolls 6, Amorous Knight rolls 8.
Then, 5<6<8<10.
Acording to the sentence above, both failed (Green Knight rolled less then opponent, Amorous Knight less then stat). Do voth of them receive -1 penalty? And, more importantly, is it a tie or an Amorous Knight success? If it is a second, then, honestly I have a problem - it makes stats almost completely irrelevant. Regardless of stats, any side of any conflict would have around 40-45% (I`m too lazy to properly calculate it right now) to win any contest with anybody. Potentially, earning a penalty, but this is not enough to matter. All in all, in ths case someone with 12 in a stat have nearly 20% chance to beat someone with 1 in stat TWICE IN A ROW on that stat alone. And that feels extremely wrong.
If in the example above Amorous Knight and Green Knight are actually tie, then I don`t see any problems.

Oh, gotcha! Honestly, I shouldn't be nowhere near about making a rulebook cause of how bad I can get explaining things.

Additionally, Hey, guys! Before I ask for a roll, I wanted to know if it'll be alright for this to be Bo1? Because I'll be asking for 4 rolls corresponding to our 4 contestants. And for brevity's sake, this'll only be 1 round as the first instance of combat in this quest.

If not : I'll have one person roll a 3d12 for our MC to maintain the Bo3 we've held since ; 1d12 for the rest.

Asking this, I'll also extend this vote for a while longer for any changed decisions. Thank you all for your time!

Okay, if this is 1 round only, changing
>>6479822
to support >>6479813

Overall, In my opinion one side rolling BO3 agains the other has absolutely insane advantage. Both sides rolling BO3 are also not that good, since at this point difference in winrate between skill level 6 and skill level 3 would be really miniscule, while common sence says it should be quite noticeble.

So, I fully support Bo1 against Bo1. Maybe, if we fighting schmucks we could Bo2/Bo3 "to awesome", or maybe while fighting some impressive boss we could fight with Bo1 AGAINST Bo2, but if this isn`t supposed to be an easy beatdown nor a very hard strugle, Bo1 against Bo1 feels optimal.

I blast off from the ground, committing to a charge to go at large upon this Lanfusa confident as to block my barge. My shoes embed deep tracks while I escape from my wake and they stomp and stir the dirt to hurry up-- since there's no need to wait! Throwing myself headlong for a big bash I pounce through the wreckage of the corpses and cadavers on a causeway of my own. The female shackler becomes the focal target of my point and rearing forward the wand in my hands I expect a new collision : whether those chains are as cool as she believes, it's only by testing them will I see.

It was another impact to bear within the short time I arrived here. Overpower her in an instant was the decision since Lanfusa insisted on verbal derision-- and there's no way she can resist my spear's making fission. Girl's like that? Oh man do I knew 'em! They can fling attacks but can't take them back. And quickly in I press looking to make a mess of her unwreaked position.

Running as to fly fast over the ground I traverse the terrain of the field littered in lieutenants resting still. The bloody gash that is this patch is those two's work, I overhear ; even if the dead men can't get their repast I'll do a favor and serve the villains just desserts. Just she look, I'll serve it at the tip of my spear.

But as I lead my single charge to completion Lanfusa's eye twitches, not caring a whit. Those Persian chains she claimed for herself perform enchanted means. Whether by sorcery or some other enigma they construct wefts and weaves. They knit a cradle to put a stop to my advance. An iron net she conjures for herself. She tugs at this line and that line, and then now pulls and then now hoists. A vault of interwoven rings manifests, and like a thick, braided plait stands substitute for armor plating. I hit it dead center!
>>
My wand's blade meets mesh. The sound of rings chafing against one another arises. Lanfusa's artifice rattles behind the strain and suffers to bring my velocity to a stop. She is rest assured to have no need for hauberk, seeing at how she's smug behind her bulwark.

"Don't get it do you?" she speaks. "This formation can't be breached. You have flashy tricks with an explosiveness behind them, but I know how to handle straightforward buffoons. Darius used these." And she fiddles with those fetters again, right at home with them in her hands as does a spider play its silken strands.

My projectile motion shot as far as it could. The chainlink defense stretches and absorbs the firepower of my pounce, but an inch away from Lanfusa's face it rebounds no less powerful than a trampoline. The plait springs me backwards, at her service, and pushes me a distance away on the gory surface.

"And Xerxes too when he upbraided the ocean!" she recounts. In a twinkle she undoes the iron weaving and right after heaves one running end with one arm. It launches at me and I move ; I dodge where the coil unravels to smash. Sinuous energy had made the link slither faster than a bolt, and hertz could've converted to hurt if I hadn't skittered over thither! "I but need to keep you busy. Feraguto will make this battle easy. That guy's a huge dolt but isn't a cute colt as to get done in by some dude errant. When this is over I'll love to be nagging over his shoulder, wasting our time 'cause he wanted to make believe innamorato."
>>
"That man's a glutton," Lanfusa then says. "Though never a craven. A redoubtable champion that holds the world to no account. Believe me, you'll see-- He's invincible! Betting on him's my principle!"

The battle rages and our girls's stage staggers. I can't get in to assail past Lanfusa's magical mesh. She accustoms herself to keep space and sues for no haste, manipulating the shape of those arcane cables to put me in my place. In for close combat and it's the thick plait ; far out and it's the heavy whip. Together we're on a slow pace, choreographing a give and take.

On the other side, however, the dust is riding high! Two unyielding strengths continue to collide. The reflection off the knight's arms flare brightly, and for each blow striking a fiery spark jumps. Their fencing matches their tempo : boots, braces, and blades dance faster than a tarantello. The green knight slashes on his opponent's left but razes but the air while the giant effects much the same on the return.

Lanfusa's comrade carries no buckler. He seems to scorn them and rains abuse on the shield defying his offense on the cavalier's left. He hacks at the wood and rivets, cleaving deep rends to turn the edges into splintered ends. He puts his enemy on high alert and working with a shield sheared short the knight resorts to relying on his sword. He flings the battered gear aside.

"Now I can see you better!" the brute says. "There's nowhere to hide. Now lay down and die!"

Come crashing down his hammering slash that leaves a gash where the knight evades on time. The stand of armor ducks back in and redoubles his efforts ; without the burden of protection his foe receives countless bisections. But he's to be disappointed when not a nick is made on the villain's skin, save for hauberk getting shaved thin.

The green knight grunts. "Dense as ever," he says. "No matter. I have a cure for the spell you wear. Best you prepare yourself for being battered!" He tightens the grip on his hilt and dashes, and with a new plan he clashes.

The rule was beating and not cutting. Taking that to mind the green knight showers his blows. He targets the head and nothing else, wielding his weapon with less refinement. This wasn't a sword's job-- it was a cudgel's! And the flat side of the stock of steel delivers a flurry of wallops. The brute before him tries to swat away the buffets. It did him no good, and he started seeing stars more than his brain could parse. Just like that it wasn't bleeding he should be worried about, it was dizziness.

The giant looks to be toppling then, reeling back and stumbling. Night or day? He couldn't tell with his eyes closed and still seeing flashes behind them. And it won't be the brightest thing he sees yet despite all the whacks his cranial crown met. The knight's sword obtains a white glow. He stops for a second the pummeling in order to see his punching bag friend go.

"You wanted my horse? I have something better. Faster and more efficient for the likes of you. I'll even give you a rich send-off and a gift : the sky and making you fly. Now, hie!"

The victim to his beatings must not have understood. He's tardy to reply and swooning as he stands upright. A rush of mana condenses on the knight's blade, feeding the glow to begin a finishing blow. The chevalier sees past the brute's ear so as to find the perfect trajectory for his swing. He raises up to bat and no doubt wanted a home-run too, going so far as to wield a miniature sun for a buffoon.

Boom! At center mass the knight slugs him with an explosive force. His enemy is lifted off the ground and true to his words he is rocketed up whence he stood. Having experienced for myself how brutal landings can be, I can imagine the bruises he'll get to when he finally falls down!. But not much else sympathy... He was such a clown.

Lanfusa's mouth gapes and she shouts, "No way!" A line of curses fly from her and I realize how liberal she is with her damning. She spares no one, not even the companion who she propped up gladly and is currently enjoying the early innovation of human flight. Two-on-one is a tall order for her to handle and her instincts warn her to skedaddle soon.

And off Feraguto goes. I was impressed : he soared so high and sailed just as fast. When the naked eye can't see him anymore all that can be spied was a small twinkle up in space. Beat that!

Companions fighting together are, by natural law, entitled to feel elated when one wins a match by a landslide. I can't help myself ; I puff up with pride. Lanfusa's lip-service to Feraguto's might goes dry and the tips of my mouth reaches ear to ear.

She asked for it after vaunting so high. This isn't kicking a man while he's down, it hardly counts. See? She can still look defiant and rattle chains at me. So then, I tease her-- my right (by proxy).

"Did you see your him bounce? He sure went sky-high! Enough to learn how to flit for good once he got batted out of sight. They don't make baseballs like that no more, and the national league would love to have hundreds of him to pelt. But, oh, I almost forgot. You only got one of him and everyone here can see how he can't be sliced. Lucky catch to have him around, right?" I say, struggling to contain my giggles. "C'mon admit it so we can get this over!~ Your boyfriend's gone, so surrender!~"

Her head changes color, more red than defeated dolor. "B-Boyfriend! That creepo? Nuh-uh, not in a million years!" she says and heaps refusals. "Was it not plain? He sifts through girls and their looks. One day it's this lady and another it's that! Hell, he'd get with one just to make another guy jealous! But him and I together? Nope, nope, nope! Never!

"He's a dumbass and he let me down! Him flying and crashing will be sweet in comparison to the earful I promise to give him. Boyfriend? So God help me that be a joke. You'd know how tiresome it is to be his lieutenant if you were in my shoes, constantly corralling him from chasing skirts or making stupid fights like this! Gosh! He's such a mess! I can't keep track anymore how many times I had to make his bed, or cook him a proper meal that isn't drink or meat that's red!

"Braindead steer! Tomato-head knave! Grrr! I hope he knocks his head on a mountain and dies!"

Outward Lanfusa vents. She's an indispensable cadet telling how thorough she recounts taking care of her oafish friend.

But the green knight puts the complaining to an end, marching himself over to the girl's field of the fight. He wants it to be clear that the offensive persists as long as Lanfusa resists. He speaks, "Yield, the scarlet maid here is right. I loathe to harm a woman in combat. Submit yourself to capture and I'll give you a lady's due respect as chivalrous austerity expects."

"And so what, Count of Vienne? I take prisoners, but I don't become one. I'm not a cavalier so there's no shame if a woman turns tail." The rings and links scattered at her feet coil back into her arms. Her eye glints : she's wont to flee.

What, uh, were they gonna do to us if they won?
>>
>>6481726
Sounds like he is in fact her boyfriend. Terrible taste in men.

>[X] Extract information from Lanfusa. (Where are we? Who were they fighting in this battle prior to us. Hell, who were the sides in this battle in general? Who are they? What caused this war that is apparently going on? What were they gonna do to us if they won? Any super special secrets or treasures she is willing to offer up in exchange for being let go? How do we get back to our world/timeline?)
