>Feel a bit hungry>Think to myself "Him, maybe I might get some pizza delivered">Delivery sites/apps create a markup total of 40% with tacked on fees by the time you get to checkout>There are people that use such services regularly
>>84693417I never pay for food delivery. I just go to a restaurant to get food. If I get takeout I don't tip
>>84693417why wouldn't you order pizza from the pizza place directly? they deliver for like $4 or something
>>84693417if you order delivery regularly you pay for dashpass or uber eats premium which reduces the cost of each delivery significantly
>>84693417I kind of get it. If you were rich and lazy and willing to gamble on the driver not spitting in your food or eating your food or just not showing up, then why not? Convenience of food coming to door might outweigh the disadvantages. Just get rich bro basically.
>>84693417dash pass is 10 bucks a month and removes like 90% of the delivery and service fees. if you door dash even twice a month it pays for itself. with the subscription its actually cheaper for me to order pizza through doordash than directly through the pizza chain itself because it removes the delivery fee. Yes its still cheaper to just get the food yourself but ten bucks a month is fucking nothing for the convienence, I mean how poor do you have to be to worry about $10 a month.
>>84694599>spitting/eating your foodbasically every restaurant uses sealed bags and boxes now>just not showing upthis is obviously tracked and you would get a refund if it happened
>>84694610I didn't know food delivery services offered subscriptions, that does change things up a bit. Wonder if they'll fuck it up somehow like Netflix?
>>84694631I haven't updated my perceptions of food delivery services. That sounds about right to me, actually. I have seen pizza boxes with stickers on them lately. I still wonder how the restaurants themselves get fucked by the delivery services. Years ago I heard they struggled to make money because they had to charge less or something.
Dan Vs. was kinoAnyway, I agree. Just get the slop yourself then. Why would you trust some smelly jeet with their toes out who barley speaks English to deliver your food?
>>84694635yeah im sure they will keep inflating the price over time just like netflix did, right now its cheap to get all the slopsumers like me addicted to the service. but its hard for me to care that much when groceries are so expensive now anyway, doesnt feel like Im spending much more just getting food delivered and when I go back to just buying groceries for a couple weeks my food budget ends up roughly the same.
>>84694693True, the economy is getting fucked from all angles right now. Maybe you're saving gas from not having to travel. It actually does seem worth it when I think about it. (Gas LMAO oh my god that shit is so fucked.) Plus it is worth it to pay to not have to go outside, at the end of the day. Especially when you can afford to.
>>84694738biggest thing for me is when i get home from work I dont want to deal with the work of prepping/cooking/cleaning dishes, even though my home cooked food is definitely better tasting than delivery. and obviously I dont have a foid or any other loved ones to do it for me. I could meal prep for a whole week but fuck eating the same dinner that many times in a row. also I dont have a car at all (live in walking distance to my job) so picking it up isnt an option.
