This is very ahead of the curve, but autism is simply what they call a brain development issue caused by the overabundance of folic acid causing a blockage in folate receptors. Avoid folic acid like the plague as a woman while baby is in development and make sure to get enough folate from diet. You can lighten the damage of current-autistic kids/people by doing the same thing and take folinic acid (leucovorin for high dose). Folic acid is unfortunately snuck into all "enriched" wheat products and some supplements so you're really needing to traverse a minefield here.
