Trans people are the biggest victims of hate crimes EVER. They are being beaten and killed 100x more than post-slavery blacks and Salem witches combined. It's a very active and present issue in society worldwide. Not just in some obscure part of America or the middle east. You can go literally anywhere in the world and see stories about trans women going missing en masse or just outright being shot in the middle of the street. Does that help you understand why you don't see them just walking around outside?
