Why did we spend most of your k-12 history class learning about some genocide that took place 100 years ago that had nothing to do with us? I could understand if we were involving in the genocide but that's not the case. I could understand if this was the last major genocide but it wasn't. In fact, I was led to believe there hadn't been other genocides since because that is how little we covered anything else. Meanwhile there are genocides that happened while I was alive.

Not even complaining about the touchy subject
Why the fuck do we start out with the near east, Egypt, etc

I don't GIVE A FUCK about deserts, MENA countries, like holy shit, it's the most tiring and boring subject ever. They kept teaching this bullshit like it was my own history. Like as if the Anglo Saxons lived in a fucking pyramid in the desert.

Fucking W2 in Mario. This shit is ugly, boring and uncool. Nothing good clearly ever happened here.

We didn't. I only learned about ww2 like twice in school, but most of us already knew about it since it was (and still is I guess) a pretty common historical event to bring up.

Now the better question is, why do you spend 12 fucking years learning a bunch of useless bullshit like latin names of flowers, when you already know how to
>read
>write
>do basic math
>understand how society works by looking at how we got here
?
It's not even good indoctrination if that's what it's about. 90% of everything I learned in school was only applicable in school and went straight out the window once I got a job.
