How do I tell a roommate that a seat is mine, without being a shit oerson and alienating them and so forth? He is really sensitive and intelligent and he thinks I am above caring about the spot like I'm Sheldon Cooper, but I am at least close enough to Sheldon to care. I guess I would interpret it as respectful if he always left me my spot, and I think it's something he can do for me, but admitting it is so embarassing and a sign of weakness or something. I am strongly inhibited from mentioning it. I just do other stuff when I see him there because I'm busy, but it's like, a wildcard factor and it would make my life easier if he sould just sense that the spot is not his and that I have thousands of dollars invested in the spot and things I do in the spot to support our lifestyle and stuff.Despite how rightfully I feel the soot is mine, I cannot find a way to say it that doesn't maje me sound wrong and small and petty. I like this roommate, literally zero issues other than taking my spot and talking to me too much. Pays good rent. Neurotypical people will tell me to just say "get out of my spot" and variants, which I have considered and declined, so I have come to this place for assistance.
