>people always prattle on about how friends and family are wonderful and humans are social creatures and everybody needs somebody
>spend time around people
>everyone is rude, abrasive, unpleasant, casually bullies each other, and are generally rough and disrespectful
So these are the wonderful human beings and the beautiful human relationships I'm supposed to love so much...

Just get a sexdoll and use AI.
I'm a misanthrope too.
You are not alone.

I'll get a sexdoll as soon as my cabin gets built. I'm going to make him look like one of my husbandos from an obscure comic book.

Or maybe Semeru from Coral Island or Logan from My Time at Sandrock.

There are nice people out there in my experience. I still don't like hanging out with them too much as an introvert, though.
>>
All I can tell you is that it wasn't always like this. Society got much worse starting from the 2010s especially(but it was already happening in the 2000s mind you)
Everyone grew to be much more disillusioned with each other, more materialistic, especially uncaring of another's wellbeing and openly exploitative.

The causes? I can only speculate: perhaps we got too used to peace, or the govs like to play divide&conquer tactics, and surely internet provides a world that suits our needs more or less - as well as exposing the more unfavorable sides of people since you get to see their pure unfiltered stream of consciousness owning to the fact that there are hardly any real social consequences behind posting whatever the fuck you want on social network sites.

The 90s and 2000s are what made me, my friend.
>>
>>84730875
Yeah same, in the 90s and early 2000s I was vibin both with some IRL people and internet ones too.
Right now I'd rather shitpost by myself on an anonymous imageboard, and it's entirely by choice.

Ah, no... I meant that the 90s and 00s are what made me misanthropic. In the 10s and 20s I'm just a simple hermit.
>>
>>84730902
Oh ok, I didn't hate that myself, and it only got worse so we are basically praying for a sudden reversal.
Which does happen eventually, that's the principle of enantiodromia.

>everyone is rude, abrasive, unpleasant, casually bullies each other, and are generally rough and disrespectful
People in existing relationships often behave this way towards each other because they are comfortable being that way with each other. If you meant towards you though, well obviously because who are you. You're nobody.

If neither side is offended, that's between them, but sometimes the potential for hurt is obvious, and sometimes I know those involved well enough that I know hurt was likely experienced.

>>84730911
Yep, always made me think of people rolling side to side in bed whenever one position feels less comfortable. Everything cycles, maybe because enough time spent in one paradigm makes you remember the flaws of the current one, and I do have a good feeling about the 2030s and expect it to be a positive cycle in many ways (especially from a futurist who wants to be in a high-tech world). The 20s might be the hell we have to sift through to reach it.

I actually don't understand how or why the human species has existed for as long as it has. Why would anyone bother? It is a complete net negative in all regards; nothing of value would be lost, ultimately, if it were wiped from the face of this earth. Quite frankly, it would be an improvement for nature. Beyond preserving its defective self, it has achieved nothing. It permeates, spreading like a virus, sucking dry everything it possibly can. It's only really sustained on these psychoses. Muh art, muh human soul, muh religion, muh humanity, complete nothings. Illusions. And the masses of retards actually want it to continue. It shouldn't be allowed.
>>
>>84730949
>but sometimes the potential for hurt is obvious
you'd be surprised by how oblivious and emotionally unintelligent people can be
>>
>>84730962
Which is pretty hilarious because everyone acts like that's being a psycho or an autist, but the actual reality is that most people are really bad at understanding each other.
>>
>everyone is rude, abrasive, unpleasant, casually bullies each other, and are generally rough and disrespectful
Truth. This is why I enjoy being a hermit NEET misanthrope.
Just a shame about the misery of inceldom and no unpaid sexual outlet with a foid.

What did Meroron say about Uta? I don't remember, other than her supposedly being a Nee-tama stealer. But yeah, Uta is kind of a ho, falling obsessively for Zukyoon then dumping her just as quick. But slutty Uta is kind of hot so that's okay.

Basically. That's characterizing her as a ho.

I see more of those AI disclaimers in the Precure fandom than any other. Dumb Luddites.

But yeah. Luluka wife. Mikuru fuck buddy and girlfriend. Anna friend. And honestly the Meitantei version of Ran is really hot herself. Moreso than in the source.

But yea, from what I've seen in the western fandom at least, they are especially anti-AI. Probably because of the Precord.

>>
>>84731972
Well, I won't bother you then. Why do you dislike Discord out of curiosity?
>>
You have to fight back. The thing about boundaries is people aren't going to go "ohhh thank you for saying I can't treat you like shit I'll treat you better now!" they will call you oversensitive or a drama monger or an asshole. Everybody is playing a dominance game and is inherently selfish even if they are lying to themselves about it. At a certain point I just stopped taking shit from my family and people at large, you don't have to freak out or yell just say "no" or call out disrespectful behavior, nip it in the bud, or just don't engage beyond surface level with unsafe people. My brother for example gets 0 information about me and I treat him like a person in an elevator so he has no way to act pissy towards me without looking insane
>>
>>84731990
Even people you love will push your buttons and sometimes it's just natural boundary testing to reaffirm social status. It's not like people start fights for no reason but if you like, have a girlfriend but always fold during arguments you'll train her to steamroll you and devalue your opinion more. You teach people how to treat you
>>
>>84731988
I'm too "old school internet" for this stuff. Discord culture is entirely modern internet culture. Wouldn't be using at all if it wasn't for playing games with people at times, and resources hidden away in servers rather than being available on a public forum.
And culture aside, there is absolutely 0 privacy on Discord.

I see... I turn 39 in a bit and started using the internet in 1998 so I used the old-school internet heavily, but I'm not really attached to any of it. I like modern internets for being fast and having YouTube. What kind of resources? AI anime? I was hoping there was an ecosystem for that somewhere since the scene isn't as developed as I would have expected for mid-2026. The Terminal Girl is the only lengthy AI series I know of.

>I used the old-school internet heavily, but I'm not really attached to any of it.
Well I liked it.

I was thinking about /v/ resources, and occasionally more /g/-related stuff(that includes AI too ig).
>>
>>84732068
>Well I liked it.
Sorry. I liked some things about it... GameSages. Vimm's Lair. RPGClassics. I loved ROMs and emulators from 1999-2006ish. I dunno if I could go back to text-only YouTubeless internet though...

Anyway, may I ask what you liked about the old internet and dislike about the modern days? Just curious as a fellow oldfag.
>>
>>84732100
>may I ask what you liked about the old internet and dislike about the modern days?
In terms of culture: old internet was basically all geeks/nerds who were either passionate about computers, or other things such as japanese subculture(including anime and manga, but not limited to) and games.
Very clearly separated from normalfag shit, and focused on hobbies, resources or random memes. OC very welcome and encouraged everywhere.
It's not without flaws of course, we all know about cancerous forum culture I'm pretty sure. But I'd rather take than than the modern alternative.

In terms of systems: first of all decentralization allowed everyone to make their own sites about whatever they want to put, and finding those sites around was the norm. You don't need to play by the rules and limitations of one platform like R*ddit or Tw*tter, or even Discord(on IRC, which would be the old equivalent, you can actually self-host).
There was a much bigger focus on privacy and anonimity, if you needed an account, you were advised to never share personal data by literally any random forum. Might not even require an e-mail
I can see how centralization is convenient for the users too, but the trade-off is not really worth it. Especially when big corpos get involved and they are making money off the platforms with ads or selling your data.

>but have you seen the alternative?
I think the only other good alternative alternative humanity used to have was religion, but now science already shattered it tbdesu.
>You think anyone out there looks healthier than an anime enjoyer?
There are some people who manage to get the romanticized life that was sold to us as a dream by media, but I don't think most people lead lives that nice. There will always be some lucky people, after all.
