I dated this woman who was nearly perfect in every way, she was smart, self-sufficient, and pretty. The only catch wast hat she wanted to be, in her own words, a mangaka.
Her art skills weren't even that bad, but her manga was this bizarre self-insert story that was obviously just her in high school life turned up to Mary Sue levels beyond reason.
She became so obsessed with it that shed constantly make references to her own story in everyday conversations. We couldn't watch a movie without she always end up talking about her manga "Oh this is just like the chapter 5"
She would also REFUSE any kind of criticism towards it, neither to the art or story, and was weirdly defensive in a very annoying way.
If I dared to say that a dialogue or drawing was a little too quirky, she would say "Im only doing it for fun Shut up"
but on the same breath she would constatly mention how this manga would make her famous one day.
This would be cute and all if we weren't we both in our mid 30s
