A 27 year old man in America owns a half million dollar house and is married with at least one child. A 27 year old "man" in Europe works a minimum wage job at a museum and is accosted by brown foreigners all day, for no tips.

in America 20 somethings are now still looked at as effectively teenagers

the early 30s are the new late 20s
>>
Because America is third world shit hole, it has age standards of one. No surprises.

In America you're a child until you're 27 then all the sudden you're a grown adult who's supposed to marry, have children, and move to the suburbs where your entire life becomes driving kids to and from school/sports. There is very little in-between. I know people in their 30s who think and act like they're in their sixties. There are no middle aged people here. You hit 27 and immediately turn 65. A 25 year old will look at a 29 year old and say "wow you look so young for your age" as if they're not only 4 years apart. I've seen this happen.
The exception is New York City, where people in their 30s try to act 18 forever. There is no where in this country where you can just be a normal middle aged person.

Largely of the way education is structured.
Education in Germany is overly complex and you are largely left to your own devices, resulting sometimes in you easily fucking up years of your life. Not that uncommon to fail out of university several times and only graduate in your 30s, since German unis have a "eat shit, suffer and die" attitude with no one ever helping them.
Which has the benefit that nearly 100% of German students taking foreign semesters report how piss easy even ivy league universities in the US and the UK are.

Illiteracy is a plague. It's not your fault school failed you, but you can take steps to fix it. There's still time for you to learn what "contradiction" means.
