Is lain the personification of four chan?
>>84742839>LainI never watched it, and honestly every time I see a clip from it or someone talking about it, they make it look like the most pretentious shit ever Just like how people treat frieren
>>84742852I think the people associating with most animes try to give them a bad reputation or they are edgy faggots who want to look cool
>>84742839>womanno, no she's not
>>84742839Is the personification of larping, it transcends 4chan by a lot.
>>84742839Maybe if 4chonz existed in 1993
>>84742839Lain is just Lain, the same way Madotsuki is just Madotsuki, not very relevant even when it was first published, but because it's a girl and her character and the story is written quite ambiguously, you can make it about whatever you want. The only definite aspect of Lain's character is that she's totally absorbed into the computer she gets as a gift. The only definite aspect of Madotsuki's character is that she kills herself at the end. Take of this what you will. I think the personification of 4chubs is supposed to be Yotsuba, but everything changes over time. It was the ragecomic guy, then the frog, nowadays I think you'd have to draw the basedjak with the Yotsuba haircut to really give the impression of "4chan.">>84742852The music from the show is good, and the little girl's moonface design is cute. The story seems intentionally obscure and you need to hear some autist give 40 minutes of exposition in order to explain it, so you're right, it is kinda pretentious.
>>84742839No, but for /tttt/ yeah in a way
