I want to go on a high adventure across the ocean from the Europe to Africa to the Caribbean. Never sailed before in my life at 34, but think that by the time I'm 36 I can realize my dream. I want to be a navigator, carpenter, mechanic, a nurse, a plumber, and an electrician.

All these skills are essential for keeping a boat afloat at sea. Being able to rebuild a motor, or testing for shorts on a circuit board and replacing components. All dead reckoning and celestial charts to use with a wrist watch to pinpoint longitude and latitude.

It's dangerous, and I would have satellite internet to stream from a gopro my sailing adventures for crowdfunding on social platforms. This money would be used to pay off the initial cost of my adventure and then I can stay back on being poor on neetbux. It would capture the long moments of solitude on a boat with maintenance of a boat underway in real time. To live aboard with coastal cruising permits to visit countries with a passport in protected coves and anchoring at shallow cays would be part of the fun.

I know even some countries like ireland are visa-free to travel to, so one can be poor and vacation in ireland to get to europe. So I would travel to ireland to enter uk via passport and then buy a yacht which I would spend a few weeks doing carpentry on for minifridge, and water purifier space.

Also people who sail tend to be more intelligent and/or rich. And you never know if sailing the atlantic or pacific might help someone stranded on an desert shore, or adrift at sea, so I could be a hero too.

I don't know, I just been boat posting for the past 4 days.

Anon I'm the same age with the same dream. I just thought about it earlier in the day. I want such an adventure with characters and scenes.

I have always wanted to become a sailfag but I dont have the money. do you at least know how to sail small boats/dingies OP? If you dont you should at least start with those before moving onto cruisers. Its a pretty good time to buy sailboats right now, prices are going down, all the boomers who bought boats during covid either got bored or cant afford to pay maintenance anymore and are trying to offload their boats

Do you guys have any vloggers you watch? I found this guy a long time ago. He has been sailing for most his 20s.
