I want to get a gun but it's virtually impossible. You need a license to purchase one legally, but with my history of mental illness I'd never pass the police check. Of course there's a black market for illegal firearms, but you need friends and contacts to fund a dealer. I'm a totally isolated NEET with no connections, so there's no way for me to do that. There's always the dark web, but the vast majority of dark web gun vendors are scams that will take your bitcoin then ignore you, or they're outright police sting operations.
>>84746450You can get a legal gun at a gun show with no background check. It is called the gun show loophole. Any private seller including the ones at gun shows do not have to do background checks. Why do you want a gun anyway? If it is to harm yourself or others, please disregard my previous advice lol

>>84746498unironically me.>>84746481Ahh fuck sorry I forgot to mention that I'm in Australia. Guns shows don't exist here, and the requirements for a gun license are WAY stricter. If I was American I'd have no problem getting one.
>>84746517This might sound a little goofy, but you could always get a compound bow and some arrows and learn how to use it just like our ancestors intended
>>84746517>>84746606Just looked up the Australian rules as well and it turns out you can legally purchase a ramset gun from amazon such as the ramset cobra plus which is a professional-grade, semi-automatic 0.27 caliber powder-actuated tool. I doubt it would do nearly as much damage as a compound bow tho
>>84746606I used to do archery and still own a recurve bow, although I was never very good at it.>>84746660interesting, I'll look into that
>>84746699I just dug even further and it turns out you can obtain any muzzle loaded gun made before 1901 without a license or registration in australia. There is an exception of having to register percussion handguns but still no license. I would reccomend an old springfield musket. Leddit says Pedersoli or Uberti are best.
