I could understand somebody identifying with a gender they weren't assigned with at birth. I could even maybe understand somebody who identifies as neither gender. Each person's "sexual function" would have no psychological or social impact on them -- similar to how a person's eye color has no psychological or social impact on them -- it's just a physical detail about their body that's ignored by society 99.9% of the time.
