Loch Modan was max comfy back in the day. Met my first bros and joined my first guild there.

Hard to think that was 21 fucking years ago.

Tirisfal Glades, Silverpine, and Duskwood. I love the gloomy aesthetic, I remember leveling my undead mage for the very first time back in Burning Crusade. Dun Morogh is really comfy as well. I actually liked Kul Tiras even though Kul Tirans are a stupid race, the design of the islands reminds me of Hawaii.
I know Vashj'ir gets a lot of hate (and deservedly so, in some respects) but I absolutely loved it for the whole underwater aesthetic. Blizzard actually hired marine biologists to get things done properly. My favorite zone overall in terms of sheer aesthetics. I wish they did an expansion about the Naga instead of Pandaria. Alah'Thalas and the Thalassian Highlands done by Turtle was gorgeous and they somehow managed to make it feel like it was made in 2010 by OG Blizzard. Everyone seems to forget that the Naga are mutated Highborne elves and that there could've been a really cool plot between them, the Sin'dori, and the Quel'dorei, but instead we got fucking pandas.
>Kalimdor
Darkshore for obvious reasons. I actually hate the quests here for the large part excluding the elven ruins stuff. But the fishing debris all over the docks alone makes up for it. I've gotten so much good loot from just spending a few hours there. Threshers also made going in the water feel more impactful and dangerous than if they just threw a bunch of coastrunners there. Which they did on the opposite side, but you get what I mean.
Dustwallow Marsh, The Barrens, and Teldrassil are good too. I overall didn't really like Kalimdor that much, it felt too varied in a way that didn't really make sense. But I guess that's what happens when continents shatter and whatnot. I'm just an Alliance fan at the end of the day.
>Northrend
Grizzly Hills is a comfort place for me and it has the best BGM by a mile. Boreal Tundra, Fjord, and Storm Peaks are good, too.

Tirisfal glades. No kidding, whenever I want to experience a feeling of home I download some classic private server and replay the undead starting zones.

Definitely Tirisfal Glades, and the rest of the undead zones in northern Eastern Kingdoms. They're great zones for a lot of reasons, and they certainly feel like home. They give a feeling of isolation, a total lack of love, and everyone being opposed to my wellbeing, which is exactly like my real life
